I was a previous customer of MayDay, which was bought by Massey. I got the "Same great people" pitch, so decided to give it a shot. I had no issues with bugs, or actual results of their service. My issue is that both times, on the scheduled service day, they missed the day, and had to come the next. The second time, I wasn't able to be home, so they couldn't do the inside. Sure, they offered to come back and do the inside another day, which at the time, I said 'ok'. While this was going on, I was still being billed for my previous address, even though it was cancelled. I called to discuss this, and they had to send me around to 4 different people before I got to someone who could help. They were very polite (as everyone always is) and said they took care of it. A few months went by and I got a collection notice threatening to send me to collections for failure to pay. I was REALLY unhappy at this point. I decided I was done, and would cancel, since this notice came close in proximity to them having missed their 2nd appointment mentioned above. Had to go through the same phone call issue, except worse, because I wanted a statement saying they realized it was an error and that I would not be sent to collections (in case it ended up happening anyway). It took roughly a week to get this, but in fairness, part of it was because the person I apparently needed to speak with was in some sort of training and out of the office. Long story short...it's not the same old locally owned and operated group it used to be. It's a national group, and I think they are still getting their stuff together here. When it comes to this type of service, I need to be able to set it and forget it, and it became too much of a hassle to keep dealing with. Without the billing issues, which most people won't have, and assuming they get their scheduling handled, I have no doubt they'd be a great company to work with... I just wasn't going to stick around to see how long that took.

They have switched companies and are not as good as the original Green Pest. I did not think their customer service was as good.

They do service on our house three times a year. They are great and the guy that comes out is named Ben. I pay for four months and anytime I see a bug or an ant, they will come out every single day without charge. They are fast and everything they use is pet friendly.

I HATE BUGS!!!! Yes, I know a house in Austin... you gonna get bugs. We upgraded from a second floor condo where I never saw a bug to a house. I HATE BUGS... getting surprised by them. In your shoe, move a chair, turn on a light and out pops the bug. We had cockroaches (waterbugs) and crickets galore. After my first week, I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted something that was effective but at the same time, would not make us or our cat sick and a family business, not one of these large franchises. So after much research, I gave Mayday a call. The office staff understood my irrational fears and reassured me that they would take care of it. And if they didn't, they'd keep coming out until they did....and they did have to make a couple of returns after the initial treatment! We went ahead and signed up for the quarterly treatments. They're very prompt (when I called for the in between treatment, they scheduled me with a visit within a couple of days) and professional. They treated the inside and the outside and a spray of the attic as well. Kitty is fine and I'm bug free!

Update - they have merged with another company Massey? I can no longer recommend this company. We were very happy with the services performed by this pest control company. We live in a new house in an active construction site so needless to say we've disturbed quite a few critters. The pest controller that came out arrived on time, explained what he thought the best strategy would be to control any pests and efficiently, professionally, and quickly executed the agreed upon plan. From the initial office call to the actual service things could not have been easier or smoother. Although not at all pressured, we signed a quarterly contract for a year at what we considered a fair and reasonable price.

I've been happy with them. They did a thorough job.

We have a contract with Mayday for quarterly services. When unusual things come up, like these bees, Mayday comes out very quickly. Today, since the situation was different than we originally thought, Brad did not charge me anything. This has happened before. Several times we have needed Mayday to come out between the regular service, because we had problems with wasps. They never charge us an extra fee when they come out to take care of the wasps. I would recommend Mayday to anyone!!

As always, Mayday gets 3 "F's". Fast, Friendly and Fabulous! They show up on time or before the time, very professional, courteous, gets the job done, explains any problems that I may have after the service, I write the check and it's over until the next time. This is my second service with them. Did not have to call back for a retreat for the first service and they were here today. I doubt there will be a callback. Love this company. I like to use small business, rather than the big corporate franchises. I have much better luck with the services and the prices are better along with better quality service.

We called Mayday on Monday and they scheduled us for 8-9 the following morning. The scheduler asked if we were interested in a periodic contract which would reduce the charge. We declined. David arrived at 8:15 and promptly asked for details of the issue. We have two indoor cats and one in/outdoor cat, so we were concerned about spray. David suggested a treatment that the cats couldn't get to or wouldn't touch. He promptly went about his business and was finished in less than 30 minutes. When we were presented with the service agreement, he did not try to get us to upgrade to a periodic contract - the dispatcher did her job. Two weeks later, we have found a couple of dead roaches in the kitchen and bath, and no ants anywhere. Mission accomplished.

David came again to treat my house. He was very professional. He listened to all my questions and answered them to my satisfaction. He sprayed both inside and outside of my house. He also removed any wasp nest that was present within my property. Overall the service was very good and I would definitely recommend them for pest control.

The lady on the phone was nice and helpful, and the workers came when they said they would. They were also easy to get in touch with. We had no problems with them.

It felt like he went above and beyond as far as finding out what our comfort level was as far as chemicals (we just wanted the bugs GONE) and acting appropriately and knowledgeably, treating both the inside and outside. After 2 or 3 days of finding dead bugs, our bug problems were resolved. Previously, we had (foolishly) switched to using a different provider for cost reasons, but with the other provider we had always gotten a different young college kid every time, and it seemed like they didn't have much knowledge of the trade...they were just there to put down the chemicals they were told to until they could get their degree and start their "real" job. With Mayday, we would consistently get the same one or two folks coming out who were obviously doing it for a living and really knew the nuances of different issues and what kind of infestations had been happening locally.

We are under contract with Mayday Pest Control and they visited our house next day to treat inside our house. The service person's name is David and he was very professional. He answered all my questions promptly and explained everything in details. Overall I am very pleased with this company.

It worked out okay. He came and took a very quick look and said that something needs to be done there. He did get around the house mostly so it was okay. There were no delays on scheduling. There were no additional cost.

I was hunting for a new Pest Control company. The previous one I used lost my favorite technician and I didn't like the way the owner handled the business. Enough said. I checked Angie's List, left messages for a few companies, but when I talked to Mayday, I was very pleased at what they had to say. Treated inside & out, dusted for scorpions in the attic, knocked down wasp & mud dauber nests, spider webs outside. Technician was very pleasant and professional. Price was better than any company that I contacted and they include many things that other companies don't. So, I agreed to a quarterly annual contract. Everyone was pleasant that I spoke with, prompt to return my call left on the weekend and the tech was on time. A+A+A+A+A

We have had Mayday's quarterly pest control plan for 3-years now & are extremely satisfied with their customer service, promptness, & professionalism. We receive a call 1-2 days before service. If we're not home that day, they go ahead & treat the outside of the home. If I want indoor service as well, which I always do, I call their office and they schedule that around me. I have them treat the entire interior of the home as well as the garage. Any time between quarterly services, they'll happily return at NO EXTRA CHARGE if I find ants, spiders, or any other bug/insect in or outside the house. It seemed silly at first that they don't need you home for the outside treatments. They told me that most of their clients don't want the inside treated. We choose both on & out. When the outside is done, I just call and schedule when convenient. They are consistently early, & offer me all the sticky pest boards I need. When we move, Mayday has already confirmed that they will be there for us!

We have used Mayday twice now. They were extremely friendly in the office by phone, and the tech that came out was also very courteous. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and had a well priced service. The best feature of this service is that it is guaranteed for 90 days. We had a fire ant problem that took a couple of treatments to get taken care of, and they had no problem coming back out to retreat. They have a new loyal customer in us.

Kyle was prompt, professional, friendly, neatly dressed, encouraged retreatment at anytime. We could not be more pleased with the service provided by this company. We have been a customer for some time and do not plan to change providers. Keep up the great customer service.

The owner of Mayday made a full refund and promised that all future dealings with Angie's List would be clearer. I am very grateful to him for his follow up.

Technician arrived on time, sprayed outside around the house, checked on potential ant hills, checked traps from previous visits, checked attic inside the house. About a week later we noticed 3-4 wasps nests being started on our back porch, so we've called them to come out and take care of these. They will come out and take care of pest issues that arise between quarterly visits included in the price of the visits, and we've taken advantage of this a few times. We've still had the occasional scorpion show up inside, and the fire ants in the yard seem to migrate around to other spots in the yard rather than being wiped out. It's hard to tell how effective the treatments have been since our level of pest incidents was low before this, but there is some level of mental comfort that there is 'protection' from stepping on a scorpion on the floor in the middle of the night, so that's a plus! They've always been very courteous and friendly and have never tried to use scare or pressure tactics to sell additional services.

He spent about thirty to forty minutes doing the work. Everything worked out fine.

**Owner called me and apologized for my initial and second experience. They sent Justin who was very professional, courteous, and thorough. I will use Mayday Pest Solutions again if I have any further issues. It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine and they did what they were supposed to do but they continued to charge me so I had to call them. It was a year plan and the first time they came out it was fine. When I called them again, the person I spoke to sounded frustrated but he did come out. He hasn't been back since. It wasn't as customer service oriented as I would like it to be. They came out right after I called them and then a few months later. He was late the second time. I paid additional for the service. They should keep up if it is supposed to be quarterly service. I need to call and cancel the service.
