Description of Work: Excalibur drained out the water heater, which is now 13 years old, but still going strong. They also inspected the plumbing throughout the house, and found most of it in good order.

Description of Work: The plumbing "technician" found that the water heater was not heating due to many years of sediment buildup. He replaced it, put in a drip pan and two pipes to the outside for less than a new water heater and install from the "big box" stores. The inspector said that he should have used 4.0, not 2.7, installation on one small pipe but because it was so small passed it anyway. The technician returned because there still was no hot water: he had forgotten to turn it on. He also properly repiped the gas to the ignition on my heater. However, having gotten heat only one day (after running it for two), I am not sure whether this was correctly done. There may be a problem with the (electric) heater itself or the thermostat. I have called Austin Energy. Unfortunately, he failled to deduct the $59 draining fee advertised on Angie's List from the total.

Description of Work: My carpet in one of my bedrooms was wet along one wall. I suspected a pipe for a nearby outside faucet was leaking. I called Excalibur because of the excellent rating that company received from customers on Angie's List. The plumber was here within an hour, assessed my problem, explained our options and we agreed on the work to be done. When opened up the wall, he discovered the leak was from a faulty elbow connector. He replaced the pipe, confirmed there were no other leaks, replaced the insulation and cleaned up the area in which he worked. He was prompt, polite, professional. He knew what he was doing and he did his work quickly and thouroghly. I am very satisfied with this service and highly recommend this this company to others in need of plumbing repair.

The coupon I purchased for was a water heater drain/flush plus whole house inspection. All was done quickly, completely, and professionally. Your technician then went above and beyond, and changed out the filter on my whole house water softener/filtration system -- something I could not have done myself. Description of Work: changed out 2 toilets, replaced connections under sink and behind washing machine, general maintenance. great technician. only complaint is there was no phone on site as specified at time of appt, yet they still tried to contact me before coming over which resulted in delay and less work being completed before I had to go to work. still excellent overall.

Description of Work: Flushed two hot water heaters and completed whole house inspection. Replaced the valve flapper in one toilet that was leaking water and refilling frequently. Sean has been to our home a couple of times over a year plus time frame to perform services from installation of new fixtures in our kitchen to drain issues. He is very courteous and always carefully explains what the repair will require and cost. I highly recommend Excalibur Plumbing. They are an excellent service provider.

Description of Work: Angies list stated they had 4 reviews from members within 5 minutes of my home. Called, told them I lived in Spicewood. They asked for zip code which I gave. Put on hold. When they returned they said they do service my area . I then told them that I would like to get the $69 water heater flush. Put on hold again. When they returned they said they do not offer this Angies List special in my zip code. Ridiculous!

Description of Work: I have used Excalibur Plumbing on 3 separate occasions, most recently to replace a leaking kitchen faucet and vegaetable sprayer. Earlier I used them for toilet and water heater problems. On each occason they responded quickly, were professional and did outstanding work at a reasonable price. With the kitchen faucet replacement the plumber indicated that he could replace the faulty "O" ring,but because of the faucet's condition i would soon incur future problems. No overzealous effort was made to sell me a faucet. After shopping and buying a faucet without a "middle man", Excalibur returned and installed the faucet. The are honest and effective. Overall, the experience was great. I would use them again.
