Description of Work: I hired this company for the sprinkler tune-up special, knowing I needed additional services. They responded promptly, did a thorough analysis of my system and gave me a reasonable bid for repair services. When the technician came for the work, there was some initial confusion regarding the scope of the work to be done, caused by the service technician not having complete information, but this was immediately and pleasantly resolved with one phone call to Adam, the owner.

Description of Work: Check and adjust all sprinkler heads and replace one sprinkler head and nozzle. The service person was nice and efficient. Hope to get service at my lake home that is equally cost efficient and complete.

Description of Work: They moved some sprinkler heads in preparation for the installation of a sidewalk, as well as repair the heads and valves that were defective.

Description of Work: I needed a face lift of a rental property (duplex) when it came to landscaping and installation of an irrigation system because the tenants never watered the yard and the foundation had already had cracked because of lack of water, the heat and this drought. The tenants are leaving in September so no one is going to rent the property with it looking the way it does. I contacted a series of companies before starting a new job to give me time to make an educated decision. The sales people working for the owners were very polite and very persistent on why I should use Eco Irrigation vs. any other company. I received bids for a new irrigation system for one side of the duplex, some landscaping ( I wanted some flower beds made with them only providing the soil and me providing all of the bushes, plants and mulch.) The ladies ( sales people stayed out there or came back after every other owner of other companies came out to bid on the same job). I decided to go with Eco Irrigation because of the sales people and the bid they had given to me and I felt like all of my needs were going to be met and they were reliable. Boy, was I wrong. After writing them a check for 3,000.00 that was suppose to include everything I asked for ( i paid in full with no balance) I received a call in the middle of the night letting me know from one of the sales people that they had made a huge mistake with the bid given to me. They said they had measured wrong and instead of needing one pallet of grass at $235.00 I was going to need an additional 11 pallets and they were going to need to collect that money before they started the job. You can realize how much stress that caused me thinking I was starting my new job was going to be started the next morning and declining the other bids in which came in a tad bit more expensive and no problems This call came in at about 9:30 p.m the night before they were suppose to start the entire job thus leaving me in a really bad place because I was having to worry about this situation and starting a new job (very demanding job) the next morning. I had several bids from companies with a great reputation, dealing all with owners of the companies and knowing that it was not going to cost me 3k for everything but much, much more made me want to shoot myself in the foot for going with this company. I agreed to pay for the additional pallets of grass because of my job situation and because I needed the job done. I was not going to have time to spend time getting bids again because I was not going to have time. The job I paid for was for them to install a new irrigation system on the property, create flower beds with the plants and mulch I had already purchased, install a booby trap proof control panel and plug to where the tenants cannot mess with the control panel or unplug the system, all wires sealed up with a protecting seal not allowing the tenants to clip any wires. Tenants for some reason do not like to water the grass and they will unplug or mess with the control panel. I paid for them to clean up the property of all trash and debris and kill all the weeds that were growing taller than me on the property. They promised all of this would be done by the end of the day on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. The owner did not want to honor the prior agreement and demanded payment in full for all of the extra pallets of grass. It was not my fault a so called professional employee of his measured wrong. How can you mess up like that? 1 pallet vs. 12 pallets in total? When I went to inspect the property to see how everything looked there were several things missing and had not been performed like they promised would be finished at the end of the business day on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. The list of things that were not performed were as follows: They did not clean the yard of all the trash and debris, they failed to take out two small weed looking trees growing around a tree in the front lawn, they forgot to install a drip line for some of the flower beds already there. They did not pull out the weeds on these flower beds and forgot to put in mulch that I provided in advance. They left a rain gutter drain on top of one of the flower beds they forgot to work on. They had dug up around the property and left a piles of dirt in the other tenant's yard, not cleaning it up. The tenant had to clean it up himself. They forgot to add a border in which was suppose to be installed for the new flower beds. They did not adjust sprinkler heads before leaving the job spilling water all over the driveway and street. They did not add a six inch stack full of mulch. I had 4 big bags left. And lastly they forgot to clean up their trash. During all this time, I did not speak to the owner until I complained about how unfair this whole thing was for me. The owner was not professional in dealing with this situation. He had never gone out to the job site to make sure the things were getting done and once I started complaining he became very hostile in the way he spoke to me on the phone thus not looking at making the customer happy and he even hung up on me on the phone in which in my opinion when you have a customer that is upset because Eco System made several mistakes you should try to diffuse the situation, admit that your crew messed up, apologize and do whatever it takes to make that customer happy. In turn the customer calms down, is more willing to work something out that is fair and the owner should be worried about a dissatisfied customer, getting repeat business from this customer ( I am still going to need another irrigation system on the other side of the duplex plus own more rental property that need upgrades on the irrigation systems and most importantly, he should be worried about referrals and what his customer is going to say about the company and the company the way they performed the job and how the owner dealt with the situation at hand). He wanted a full payment to lay the sod today paid in full yesterday. How am I suppose to feel comfortable with paying him for the sod in full when the first job that was paid in full and promised to be finished on Tuesday is still not finished or completed. The promises that came along with this job on what they were going to do have yet to be seen as well as the promise the job would be completed on tuesday at the end of the business day. We finally agreed that I would pay him for half of the sod yesterday and the rest would be paid today when both jobs are finished it is suppose to be finished and completed (I'm keeping my fingers crossed) today! I won't believe any more promises or trust these people and all of their promises to do the job I paid for in full has yet to finished and seen so we will see if they finish it today as I have already paid for this job in full. Everything...including the installation of the sod has been promised to be completed today. If they are finished I will be more than happy to pay them for the other half of the sod and I will be really, really relieved. This whole encounter and all the problems that came along with this job has stressed me out so much that I have not been able to sleep or perform my job the way it should be done. This experience has caused me a lot of anxiety to say the very least. I think the owner handled the entire thing very unprofessionally by the tone in his voice that was full of hostility and intimidation and then wanting to be paid in full again for the sod in which the first job that was paid in full 3k was still not completed. If the job is complete by the end of the day in which I pray it will be, I will give him the other half for the sod. After dealing with the owner himself and the way he has conducted himself, even hanging up on me ( a customer) blows my mind. You should understand this if you work in the business world or own your own business. I will never do business with this company or owner ever again and I will never refer anybody to them. If you know anything about business, you want your customers to be happy and you will go out of your way to see that your customers are happy. In my opinion, he lost repeat business because I am going to need two more irrigation systems that he could have had and I need an irrigation repair in another property. I need landscaping on two properties and new sod in both properties. He has lost all that repeat business and I will NEVER recommend his company to anybody. I would not wish this horrific experience to anybody! It's a shame the owner decided to act the way he did and behave in such an unprofessional manner. I have no idea how you can have an attitude like that and still be in business. Blows my mind! I hope this review helps you make a decision on who you may want to get these type of services done with.

Description of Work: We tried several companies for the installation of a backyard sprinkler system. Oddly, this one did not come up on Angie's List search and the vendors that did come up from this site wouldn't call us back. We found Eco Irrigation through Service Magic where they have more than 150 great reviews. They are indeed great. Dennis came to our home, gave us an education on irrigation that was extremely helpful, answered all of our questions and scheduled our install for our 13000 square foot back yard.

Description of Work: This company installed the original irrigation system on our one-acre lot last year and did a fair job (we would have rated them overall a B had we done a review). We needed some revisions this year due to landscaping and construction and contacted them for the work.

Description of Work: We used Eco Irrigation. They’ve done work for us twice this fall and the last one was on December 10th 2011. We had a breakdown in our irrigation system. They came out and diagnosed it. They then repaired it and fixed it. They discovered what the issue was and we didn’t know what had caused the problem.
