+ -1 moreIt is always fabulous. They always do a spectacular job. I feel they are a little high in price. For this particular job which was 500 square feet. They had to completely protect the entire room because the room had just been painted and re-tiled by a different contractor.
Description of Work: They cleaned up a mess from a different contractor. They painted a ceiling that popcorn ceiling had been removed from.

+ 2 moreIf you're cordial and flexible, you'll be treated like royalty. If not, you'll still get quality work but may not get repeat business.
Description of Work: George DelaGarza personally installed a new dishwasher in my kitchen that anyone else would have refused to do. My 22-year- old home had shorter counter's than the new, taller appliances, and my tile floor wasn't helping the situation, either. He spent many hours removing parts and reassembling them just to fit it in the space and refused to charge me extra, although I would have paid more. George has become a friend after the work he has done in our home, ranging from painting to installing crown molding, to hiring a crew and overseeing installation of a ceramic tile floor in a large kitchen and breakfast room. He Installed a new range hood over the stove and crawled into a hot attic to install a ceiling fan. His work has included electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tile work and even hanging pictures in high and precarious places for me. He's much more qualified than a Handy Man, as the term implies, and has my highest recommendation. His time is only limited by the amount of work he has at the moment. He has also worked within my budget and spread work out over time so it was easier for me to fund it. He's very accomodating and easy to work with.

+ 4 moreGeorge DelaGarza came to the house, presented himself as a professional and had a roofing sub show up at the same time. Did a detailed analysis of the multiple jobs from roof, siding, painting, sheet rock and more. Took pictures and jotted notes, Never heard from the guy again. No quote, sorry can not do the job or not even my line of work .... just left me hanging for his quote which never came after repeated contacts. Very unprofessional regardless of any reason!
Description of Work: Came to house and never heard from again. Worthless in my opinion! At least he could have called and said this is not my area of expertise, or at least could have explained that he would not do the job! WORTHLESS ENCOUNTER and a waste of my time!

+ 0 moreA while back I noticed a piece of our soffit hanging down. Upon further inspection, I noticed much of the roof was rotten. It wasn't until months later that I discovered the cause - carpenter ants. I killed all of the carpenter ants and realized the true extent of the damage they caused. It was a bit more than I felt I should tackle, so I called in help. The first guy that came by never gave me an estimate. I finally called George. He came out very quickly and said he would give me an estimate the following day. He did just that. The price was about what I expected to pay for the repair. So I had him do the work. The work was started when they said it would start and finished the same day. When they left, you couldn't tell that there was every any damage. It looked perfect. I also had George's wife do a repair for a shower at a rental house we have -which also went very well. My dealings with George couldn't have gone better, and I high standards regarding repair work.

+ 1 moreMr. De La Garza was very professional, punctual, and friendly. Did really good work. Make sure you thoroughly detail what you want done, i.e., instead of "installing trim work," you need to detail, "installing trimwork, sanding and filling cracks," or it won't get done. Also, be clear on payment arrangements. He is good about writing contracts, but be clear about the detail. He is meticulous about the work, and about being punctual and cleaning up after.
Description of Work: Reframing bedroom, dry wall, floating out, installing wooden trim, general repair.

George was quick to get out to the house, remove the existing valve and replaced it with the new one we had provided. The new one was defective and leaked also. He called me at work, explained the situation and asked if I wanted to come see the leak from the valve housing. He explained it was a hairline crack. He handled getting the defective part replaced - replaced all the fittings for a 2nd time.
Description of Work: Replaced a leaking pool valve (twice)--The replacement part I had purchased at my local pool supply was cracked and had to be replaced a 2nd time.

+ 0 moreGeroge came promptly for an estimate and was able to begin work just a couple of days later. He and his crew were prompt and professional. They even went the extra step to patch a spot they noticed during work.
Description of Work: George helped us when we had a water leak from the attic. He removed the drywall, replaced it, mended several places in the ceiling and textured it to match. He then painted the whole area.
