Perfect as always! I used Jeff and All Star Security at our last home over in Round Rock Tx and was the only person I called when we built this new home in 2017. Jeff and his team are as professional as they get. No hidden fees like those other home security companies that hound you forever and if there ever is a question, I can call Jeff and he will respond back promptly. I like the fact that Jeff served his country as did I and I will always support our Vets however I can, you trust them to protect our freedom, why not your home security? 5+ ****** for Jeff and All Star Security

Jeff and his team were very easy to work with, came out and reviewed both my home and office then asked lots of questions to help us decide what we needed then created a proposal that was professional and fair in price then delivered on that proposal with no changes to price. I’ve had some false alarms here and there for a variety of reasons and he was always available and came out promptly to address any issues we had. Not sure I could have asked for more and I recommend his team to anyone considering adding an alarm system their home or commercial space.

My sewing consortium has been a client of All Star Security for over 5 years. The owner, Jeff Alexander, and his staff have been great to work with. We recently had to move to another location in a short two week time frame. Jeff removed an abandoned alarm system from our new space so that we could have it painted, and then transferred our alarm system to the new space when it was needed. He went out of his way to work with us during our tight moving schedule. Best of all, the monitoring fee has never increased in the middle of a contract.

Anytime I have an issue with the system, I contact the office and Jeff gives me a call. Usually he is able to help me solve the problem immediately over the phone. Fast, friendly and spot-on service. A rare thing these days.

Jeff was very friendly and professional, and he showed me how things work. I will have to play around a little bit, but I got good help from him.

During a remodel my system was degraded when a sensor was lost. I contacted all star to get a replacement part and after a few days they got back to me and let me know they'd let me know the price. That was almost a week ago. So my house has been without a security system for more than a week and they couldn't care less. Do yourself a favor and go with a professional company.

Jeff was immediately available and was prompt, courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the issues and the necessary work to resolve them. Its been a year and here's my experience: All Star Security seems to be the front end (installers mostly) for the alarm monitoring company Central Security Group (CSG). They set up your alarm system based on the agreed upon installation price and have you sign a multi year (normally 3 years) agreement with Central Security Group. All this is fine, but not ever having had a home alarm system before, I was a bit shocked, maybe worried, as I thought I would be dealing 100% with a local Austin based company. No biggie really just my personal ignorance on how this all worked. So what you basically end up with is a subsidized alarm system (you are paying back over the length of the contract). I will need to revisit this review when my 3 year contract is up. The installers were great, courteous, and respectful. They answered all my questions at the time of the installation. I was told by the installers to contact them them directly if any issues came up and that all the equipment was fully covered under warranty during the multi-year agreement. I really have not had many issues with the alarm system and it "seems" to work fine. One issue that I did have was the motion detection sensor triggering the alarm randomly. It caused a couple of false alarms earlier this year. Luckily I have web cams so I was able to immediately tell CSG to cancel sending police over. I contacted All Star Security via email regarding the motion sensor failures, but I was told that I needed to talk to CSG directly. Again not a big deal, but a little frustrating and the main reason I was hoping to deal with a local company directly. In any case, I did speak with someone at CSG and they did replace the motion sensor free of charge though they also charged me a $25 trip fee. (So much for fully covered system? ;-) ) Just an FYI, most of these types of alarm systems do have their flaws. The window and door sensors can get bypassed by someone smart enough not to trigger them during a break in, so that basically leaves you at the mercy of the motion detection sensor(s). I test that sensor religiously (minimum once a month). The system has a battery backup but I am not sure how reliable that is since the electricity hasn't gone out recently. They also communicate with their main alarm monitoring system via cellular network, so its also possible to completely lose signal. I should mention that all these loop holes are supposedly handled by their main monitoring system. The alarm system can be access via a browser (internet explorer, firefox, chrome, etc) or your phone via an app. This convenience is excellent and has worked well for me and my family. All in all the experience so far has gone well and has helped with peace of mine when we are NOT at home. I would recommend all star security but would also recommend informing yourself before setting up or signing anything. Its been a year and I am curious to see how the system will hold up the next two years and if they will be reducing the monitoring price once my initial contract is done. Good luck!

Ok, not as technically sound as other providers, but very honest and hard working.

During the time that he was installing it, he was telling me that there would be people there all the time, and there would be no penalty to terminate my contract early. When I called him back, he said that there was nothing he could do, and I would have to pay a $600 fee to get out of the contract. He lied to me to install the system. That was the question that I had before I had installed the system. They charged me the rest of the amount that I would have owed on the contract that took me to 2016. I was deceived and I would not use them again, and I would not recommend them.

It was ok. They came by and set it up. Everything is working fine. They were on time. The deal was pretty good but the monthly price is a little high.

Seriously, 5 star service here. Everything that you should and expect from an excellent service provider, you are getting from these guys. My questions were answered, they communicate properly and are honest and reliable. No hidden anything, I am extremely happy with my service from this company, and highly recommend them to anyone searching for an alarm system.

I had a really bad experience dealing with Guardian,Protection Services, you can read my past reviews. I wasn't sure what to expect. Guardian Protection Services had locked out the new equipment that I had purchased from them in October 2013 by coding,. I fully expected Jeff Alexander, the Allstar owner, to tell me I would need to replace all of the new equipment. Now I had just spent $4000+ in buying new equipment, cameras etc from Guardian Protection Services and had paid a penalty for an early contract termination. I knew right away that Allstar was going to be different. Jeff showed up on time to do the system review, he looked at the system and he told me he thought he could get the system back in service, he could figure out the coding, it would cost me 2 hours of labor $180 and 2 months of up-front monitoring charges, no contract. I could reuse all of my new equipment and cameras. Now this was after 3 other security supply companies told me that I would need to replace all of the new equipment. So I was a skeptic, but Jeff was so confident that I gave him the opportunity. I was still a skeptic though. Anything to good to be true normally is. Jeff took the time to call me the morning of the installation to let me know his installer, Danny Perez, was on his way. I told him he was already at my house. Danny worked tirelessly and professionally to return the system to service. Allstar did exactly what they said they could do. I can use all of the new equipment that I previously purchased including the cameras. Again Jeff followed up the next day after the system was returned to service to make sure we got what we needed. In my experience, when the owner is heavily involved in the business, a restaurant, a repair shop, etc. the business will be well run and credible. I would HIGHLY recommend Allstar for security services. They do what they say they will do, they follow up extremely well, they stay with a problem until it's right, they aren't afraid of hard work, they price their services fairly---what else could you want? The system includes a wall panel, motion detector, contacts on the doors, and a camera. The entire system has access by cell phone. It's a great system and Jeff has been most helpful throughout the entire process. The installer was personable and professional.

Contacted Jeff and within a week had a bid and had the system installed. No surprises, install went very smooth.

He supplied step-by-step, operating instructions, and willing offered follow-up tech support and additional instruction. Customer Service and scheduling is provided by Alexis. We are new to state of Texas and had no idea who to call to convert the new home's previously installed ADT alarm system. Found this company through Angie's List and called jeff. He gave me a great price to convert and monitor the alarm. What was even better was the install by Danny. We have a unique networking system in the house and it was playing havoc with our phones and internet. So, the alarm system was having difficulty setting up. Danny not only worked hard to solve the issue but went ahead and also fixed the phone/internet issue. Wow! That was a blessing because we were starting to pull our hair out trying to figure out who to call to get the internet/phone working right. Made the traumatic move much better with his tenacity to fix that extra problem for us and he didn't have to do that. He already had the alarm working fine. Back to the alarm - it's been a couple of months and things are still working perfectly. Thanks guys :)

Install went well, fully tested. Easy team to deal with, and so far the 3rd-party monitoring company has been very solid as well.

We researched alarm installation and monitoring companies and settled on All Star. Unlike other companies, there's no hard selling, and the Jeff is the owner/operator of the company (so you're not dealing with some sales guy who's only motivation is the commission and probably won't be with the company the following week!) and he lives locally. There are just a couple of systems to choose from and no complexly priced "options" to figure out. And unlike many alarm installation companies, these systems are compatible with an existing hard wired house, so are much more discreet than the wireless contact alternative. We opted for the cell-phone based monitoring system (so cutting cable or phone wires coming into the house will have no effect) which works well; it frequently pings the system to confirm connectivity. Installation was scheduled quickly after we signed up (contract monitoring, as is usual) and the installer arrived when promised. Because of less that great wiring by the builder, the install took longer than usual but the installer was courteous and conscientious. I also forgot to mention an Angieslist coupon when we signed up, but Jeff still honored it which was very professional of him. We would definitely recommend All Star to anyone in the Austin and surrounding area.

After spending numerous days interviewing alarm companies and their products, I decided to use Jeff and his crew for my install. My decision was based on the combination of Jeff's professionalism, the price/quality of the additional options I purchased, and the monthly monitoring fee associated with the system. Jeff didn't try to up sell me on anything I didn't inquire about. He carefully listened to my concerns and needs with a home security system, and advised accordingly. His installer Danny was extremely courteous and respectful of my home and pet. He even squeezed me in to their busy install schedule in order to get the system up and running over the weekend. Both Jeff and Danny also called to check up over the next few days to make sure everything was running smoothly and if we had any questions in regards to using the mobile interactive app. Jeff even advised that I wait a few months to install video cameras based on newer products being released later in the summer. I would highly recommend All Star Security!
