The Cleaning Authority - League City

They come out every two weeks. They do a good job and are conscious. I can call, leave a note or an email, whichever way I choose.

I hired The Cleaning Authority in January. At first everything was cleaned well and I was pleased with my team, Crystal and Emily. Then the management decided to send someone different each week, or add a third or fourth person, or only send one of my regular girls with new people - things went down from there. Every week I had to stay home to re-train each new person that came through the door, show them where cleaning supplies are, and what is to be cleaned. They only clean my downstairs, including the stairs; so, I show them where everything is and things that were missed before. i stay upstairs and come down for questions and to check things out occasionally. After going through various people, I requested that I only have the team of Crystal and Emily. I was granted that request for a couple of weeks until management decided to split them up. So, now I was back to Square One again. The girls were in a hurry to get the job done in 2 hours or under and it isn't possible with all hardwoods and tile, AND learning a new house every week. After 2 weeks of Emily and Brandy, I was hoping things might get on track; but it didn't. This past week I told them I had spoken to Erica and that they needed to stay longer than 2 hours to finish the job correctly and there were things missed in cleaning and broken from the previous cleaning because of hurriedness. Emily agreed that it takes longer than 2 hours and they would do a good job. I had told them I was leaving and would be back before they would need to leave and gave them the time I'd be back. When I returned home, they were gone! Front door was not locked and the cleaning had not been finished. I reviewing my security cameras, they had left 45 mins early and not finished the cleaning. I am not going to go into all that was not done, but I have a list. After searching my home to make sure nothing was missing and no one had broken into my home, I called and texted Erica and the office. I have called and left numerous messages to call me for days now. That was last Thursday.....today is one week and I have had NO RETURN PHONE CALLS from anyone at The Cleaning Authority!! As a business owner, I can't even imagine what reason there could be for the unprofessional practice of not returning phone calls from a client that clearly has not been given good service. I am rating them 1 Star and would like to think that if given a second chance they could get a better rating. Emily is capable of leading a team and is a nice girl that wants to do a good job, but not until she understands that you don't ever leave a home unlocked and leave early, and to double-check that the rooms of the home have been cleaned properly. The inspector came only an 45 mins-1 hour after they had started cleaning and so clearly there wasn't much to inspect at that time. If I ever receive a return phone call and these issues get resolved, I will re-rate them and update my review.

I really like them, in fact I have recommended them.

Well, it was really hit and miss. First of all, I would fall in love with a particular team, and then somehow, another team would get sent out, so they didn't know what you expected, what you liked, etc. They neglected some of what was on their "list." Supposedly, they were on a rotation, with specific attention to one living area every time they came out. Well, it just seemed that they did the some old things time after time, without focusing on any particular area. So, we parted ways, and I am now looking for an individual. I've been through a few companies within the last few years, and it just seems like they want to get in and out and not really clean thoroughly.

The crew was punctual and set to work immediately. Problem was that they didn't do many of the things "promised" on their list. Two of them seemed young, new and untrained. (They didn't know how to make the bed; pillows on top, the decorative sham pillows left on the chair. )The inspector came by and did some of the work herself. She helped me remake the bed, and pointed things out to them, having them go back over it. To their credit, if I pointed out something, they would do it, but I felt I was pointing out the obvious and that I shouldn't have to do this. They were supposed to dust furniture, ceiling fans, and wipe down fronts of appliances, etc. They didn't clean anything they couldn't reach standing on the ground, which includes the mirrors over the sinks in the bathrooms, stating that they "aren't allowed" to climb a stepladder of any type. They didn't have the tools to reach the ceiling fans, furniture was "hit or miss" as was wiping down the appliance fronts. When I gave the owner my list of what I deemed to be a mediocre job, he suggested I might be happier with an independent singular person. We parted ways amicably. .

We finally established a working relationship and things are going better. Have used them a few times now

I used The Cleaning Authority for several years to clean both my house and my mother's apartment once a month. There were generally two people who came to my house and you could tell that they had been trained. If one of the people was new, they were paired with someone more experienced. They brought their own cleaning supplies and equipment, did a thorough and efficent job and were responsive to suggestions or special requests. The only reason I have stopped using them is that they don't work on weekends and my schedule changed so that I needed someone who could come out on the weekend. An advantage to using a company instead of an individual is that they can be more responsive to schedule changes since there are more people available. Also, the owners are responsible for training and handling any problems that may come up.

They are very professional. They have someone that double checks the work after it is done to make sure they have done a good job and that's really cool. The price was good. We actually got them to do the house we are staying after that. We are going to use them every two weeks.

It made my day. So nice to come home to such a clean house.

Have used cleaning services for years. This one was the least professional. Very hit or miss surface cleaning. Not what is promised in literature or in walk through. Very below par cleaning and poor results. Definitely overpriced for quality of work performed.

I'm very particular about how my house is cleaned. They bring disposable cleaning items when they come because I do not want them bring other houses germs into my home. They are a very green company. They pay attention to details. If your not satisfied they will come back. They try to keep me with the same cleaning crew so that I know how is coming in and out of my house. You can call them any time.

I was very satisfied at how thorough they were. I will definitely use again in the future. Great service.

When I arrived to let them in I saw that two women came to clean. One told me that they had never had a homeowner let them in before. I told them that they could leave through the garage when they were done. They finished but forgot a bunch of their equipment in my house causing me to have to leave work to gather their items and leave them outside. When I checked the work, I could tell that they cleaned but because they use "green" products, I couldn't really smell any cleaning products. I like to be able to smell the clean. I know that's probably not "green" or good for you, but it's what I like. I wouldn't use them again because I realized I don't really like green cleaning products, no other reason so if you are looking for that type of cleaning I would recommend them.

I give them an excellent rating and will use them again in the future.

I have been using the Cleaning Authority for over two years. From the first contact, I was pleased with them. They are very accomodating in scheduling to fit my needs. The actual cleaning is very thorough. The company will come out to correct any areas that the customer may be displeased with, but I have never needed to have this done. They also have a nice security system for protecting clients' identities. The use of environmentally friendly products appeals to me greatly; that is the reason I initially selected this company. But the great service is what keeps me using them long term.

They are reliable and have never broken anything. They take good care of my possessions and I would recommend them. Their supervisor always calls to follow up to see about problems.

They normally are in my house for two or three hours while I am at work. It is usually a team of three that comes in. They come in and clean the house from top to bottom. I have never had anything broken or misplaced with them. I have used them for 3 or 4 months. The owner background checks on all their employees. I would recommend them to other people.

We were very pleased with their work efficiency and trustworthiness. One time, they cleaned some rooms better than the others, but the next time they do it the opposite way.

This company sends different crews all the time. We had careless, inconsistent cleaning, walls scuffed and items broken, but this was the least of our problems. New crews rarely figured out our simple alarm system. We had to come home and fix false alarms and/or find the alarm was not turned back on. One crew just gave up and left without cleaning. A crew did not turn on the alarm when we were on vacation. We had specifically called the office to ask them to send someone who would turn the alarm on as they left, but it didn't happen. We sent an email because our calls were unanswered. We got a response a few days later, in which Tom the owner told us he would just send us back our keys rather than try to do better. A week later, after several messages from us, his wife told us the keys had been mailed. They finally arrived - uninsured or anything - and the postmark was two days after we were told they had been mailed. We are so lucky our house was not robbed because of this company.

When I called and terminated service, the manager didn't seem to care and didn't refund money for the last 'cleaning' that was done so poorly. I would personally never use this company and would not recommend it to anyone.

Overall, I give Tom and crews a A-, the only problem I consistently had was not dusting completely and not cleaning deeply every so often. I thought if a company comes every other week, my house should shine; well, it almost did. I had one problem when the glass tray in the microwave was broken, and Tom just cleaned one trip for free to reimburse me for this accident. I could not have expected more!

When we first hired Cleaning Authority, there were two women sent who did an excellent job. They were polite, well mannered, and professional. Then after several months, two different women were sent who did a horrible job. They had to be called back almost every time. Obviously they do not have consistency in their work force for quality to vary that much. We got so tired of calling them to do it again we stopped hiring them.
