He was supposed to do some other work but he never did do it, he never did show up. They knocked a couple of lights down at the back of the house. We have a little patio and we have a satellite back there and they broke that also. They left it hanging by the wires. He saw it because he came back when he put the screens back up. He said he will be back on Thursday, but he never showed up. It's been several months now. It's been a long time. We have an adjoining garage and there was a rotten piece of fascia on the back of the garage and he's supposed to replace that, but he didn't replace it. They just put the gutter on over it. I wouldn't use him anymore, that's for sure. He was supposed to be one of the top roofers. They were given the highest score. We had a hailstorm before and there was a lot of damage to a lot of houses and roofers came in from everywhere. There were roofers that no one ever heard of before. I talked to the people that came and evaluated our roof and said that we needed to get it fixed. I asked the guy if he had any advice and he said he would give somebody local so I used them, but it didn't work out so good. The roof that they put on was alright, but breaking these lights, there was no cost for that. They should have brought a piece of board out here to replace the rotten piece of the fascia, but they didn't do it. The trouble with this is there was no supervision. He starts up with 7 or 8 men in the roof and then he comes back when it's all finished. I should have gone out and inspected myself, but my wife was sick and I was pretty much tied up inside. It was just poor supervision. They just had too much work going on. I think he only had 2 gangs and that was the reason I hired the guy. I ran into something when we built this house here and the guy that was contracted to build the house had 14 houses going and he was the builder. That just won't work. It's just the way it is. I got really pissed off when he didn't show up when he said he would be back. I took the lights down myself and I found out it was broken off. They didn't even take off the screws and take it down. They just popped it off and broke them out. I had to buy a new light. The roof looks okay, all the shingles and all that part, but as far as going to do what he said he was going to do, and it was written in the contract to replace the fascia. For the price, there was one guy who was higher than him and another one who was a little lower than him. I just split the difference and I took his that was in the middle. For his punctuality, he got here when he said he would be here. He was professional when he did the work, but it wasn't professional when they left things and did not come back when they said they would. A friend of mine also used him and he kept telling me about this guy and how good he was, that he did good work, and he's a family man, and all of those stuff. He kind of pressured me to hire this guy so I hired him. I found out later on that the guy pays you if you recommend him to somebody. I think that was what happened here. He offered some money for anybody he referred him to. He recommended me to that guy. He may have gotten really good service from the guy, but that I don't know.

The owner, Cary Chapman, came out to do the inspection and written estimate. We already knew we wanted a complete re-build, since our roof was over 25 years old. We discussed the options and we agreed pretty well on what would work the best and look the best. Decided not to go with hail resistant, as that would add more to the cost than the insurance co would be likely to pay, if there was ever a claim. Got the thicker ridge caps, as the ridges were where our hip roof was most worn out. Cary gave us a 1/2 off discount on the thicker caps. We agreed on a date to start. About 1 week before the job, all the products were delivered to our driveway. The actual work took only 2 days. The Professional crew was really great. They were very careful about getting the old roof stripped off - they covered our pond with plywood sheets to protect it. They found several problems with the original builder's flashings that they corrected. We thought they did a very good job, and we would use them again. Most of our neighbors have also used Professional Roofing and have been happy with them. It's been 2 years since completion, and we have had NO leaks, no problems whatsoever.

He's a roofer that's connected with GAF in some way. Everything looks good and he took care of the whole thing, which included the gutters although he had that work subcontracted out. Overall considering how much he did I was satisfied with it. There were a couple of things I didn't like, so I have to get him back over here to fix some things that they did that didn't turn out just right. I don't have any great complaints about him and he's much like all the other ones. I priced three of them and his price was in the middle. He had the stuff I wanted, which was a GAF roof to replace the GAF roof that was on my house. The only complaint I do have is that they put a crew out here to work and there was no supervision. The boss wasn't here and he has a couple of crews. He has one of them that's in charge, but he takes off and comes back when they're finished. I had the same problem when I built my house with another contractor in which I found out that this guy had 14 houses going at the same time and was the only boss. He would go from one to another, but you can't do that and see that everything gets done. The bosses come back afterwards when it's all over with to inspect it and then they see where this and that should've been done. The guys with Professional Roofing also loosened my backyard flood lights and just left them hanging. They're still hanging and when I told him he says he's going to get a man over here or he's going to do this and that, so he's about the same as the others. They're up under the eaves and there was no reason to take them loose. They're just hanging by the wires now. He was going to come back to fix it, but never has and I'm going to have to stay after him. The material was first class because it's a GAF genuine film. They make good equipment and he put it up right, but it's just a few things that they didn't do and said they were going to do plus a few things that they left undone. I thought his price was okay and reasonable. There was nothing dishonest about it and everything was in writing. There was a contract before we started. He was punctual and professional. The contract was straightened out and everything was available. He didn't come back to try to tack anything on or anything like that. He did a good job with that and was really business like. I would use him in the future, but I'd stay after him. Part of it is my fault too because I should've been out there, but I'm an 85 year old man. I can't go out there and stay out there with a bunch of roofers.

After receiving four bids, I selected Professional Roofing Systems. They were competitive pricewise and had also been recommended to me outside of Angie's List. I liked that they were a GAF Master Elite Roofer. They did my entire roof, and a small shed in the back yard. I selected the Timberline Ultra HD shingles rated for 130 mph wind. They arrived at 6:30 am, and worked hard all day long. The project was completed in one day.

After researching Angie's List and other resources such as the GLYP (Gay and Lesbian Yellow Pages), I narrowed my search down to two. Both had and quot;Aand quot; ratings on Angie's List, although and quot;Professional Roofingand quot; had only a few reviews compared to the other company. But eventually it came down to price, and what I was getting for my money. Both companies could provide the same complete service but and quot;Professional Roofingand quot; not only had the better price to start with, but also had the special price for the 30-year shingles. And the quote from teh other company kept goig up as I matched the services/products offered. What they had priced as and quot;EXTRAS, and quot;Professional Roofingand quot; had already included on their already lower price. If you plan to pay with a credit card though, that was problematic. They are not set up for that, but he was willing to find out what the credit card company's fee would be in order to pass that on to me. A year later he still had not found out, but I was able to finally pay with a and quot;credit card checkand quot; sent to me as a promotion from that same credit card. So - and quot;All's well that ends welland quot;.

Very good work installers carried old shingles up over the top of the roof and dumped into dumpster on driveway to reduce the chance of nails and trash in the back yard. They removed the old roof in 1 day and finished the job in 3 days very fast. They went over the front yard and back yard twice with a magnet to find nails best roofers I've ever seen!

Professional Roofing System provided excellent work. Even though I have a large home, they were finished with the work in two days. They drove a company truck and had all the necessary tools with them for the job. The clean up was so thorough that you couldn't tell they were ever there.

The roof on my house was damaged do to a hailstorm and we called around to get a few estimates. The roof goes from the top almost to the first story. We hired Professional Roofing to do the work and the men did a good job of replacing the roof. They did a few other little things for us as well and we were very pleased with their work. There were a few nails lying around but that s to be expected after tearing a roof off.

The price was very fair because we looked around for the best estimate. The estimate was what we agreed on, it was set in stone. They were real helpful, knowledgeable and eager to assist us. The crew were very friendly and they cleaned up the work area well.

Professional Roofing took my call quickly and came by to give an estimate. Their prices were quite good and they showed me different grades of shingles and explained the warranties. The shingle installation was scheduled as soon as the shingles were available and the roofers were on time. They unloaded the shingles, ladders and other tools and got right to work tearing off the old shingles and putting on the new ones. They did a good job, finished in a timely manner and cleaned up all the mess.
