Priceless Painting

We hired Luis about a year ago for a lot of work: remove wallpaper in two bathrooms, retexture them, and paint them, as well as paint two bedrooms, and replace the quarter round in a long hallway and paint the hallway. He did a great job, but I failed to write a review. We just hired him for a second time to retexture our breakfast room & kitchen, and paint other rooms as well. His crew ensured everything was well protected before spraying on the texture - the floor, cabinets, counters, appliances. The texture work was excellent! His crew made one mistake with regard to painting the quarter round trim, but Luis and the crew came the following day and corrected it immediately. They did a very good job. I would recommend them to anyone, and I would definitely hire them again. They stayed on the job every day until it was completed, and I knew I could trust the crew to be in my home while we were at work. We are located in Pasadena.

From the very beginning Luis was prompt with phone call. When I texted him in the evening to ask a question, he again was quick to response. Luis listened very carefully as to what we needed done, reassuring us all the way that we would get a professional job. AND WE DID!! Luis and his crew were there every day on time and ready to work. His crew were hard working and behaved in a professional manner and only stopped to eat their lunch. The yard was cleaned up every day and supplies stacked up out of the way and tidy. THANK YOU SO MUCH LUIS AND CREW. Our house looks beautiful!! I will call you again when we are ready to paint the inside.

The quality of the work was fantastic! It looks like a brand new house and we are so pleased. Luis was so easy to work with - very professional, communicated promptly via text, email or phone call. They carefully moved the furniture, and cleaned up eveything after the job was done. We could not be more pleased with our "new" (to us!) house.

I am so pleased! Luis came out the next day after my phone call and I had my quote by email that night. His team arrived early and stayed all day. They did a fabulous job. They cleaned up after themselves daily. You cannot tell where the damage was. I highly recommend them!

This was a great company to work with. He put me on his schedule after making his initial estimate. He arrived promptly every day until completion. My ground floor honestly did not look this good when it was first completed as a new build two years ago. They were doing such a good job on the ground floor that I extended their contract to the main floor as well. They also were thorough in their cleanup and putting everything back in order before leaving. I will not hesitate to hire them again when I need painting services. Luis and his crew were the best I have seen.

Luis and his crew arrived on time each day. As promised, the work took 2.5 days. The crew was very quiet and worked very efficiently in making repairs and sanding the woodwork. The ceiling and hallway paint was completed the first day. Luis did touch up (and tolerated my pointing out a few small places he missed for touch up). The balance of the walls and about half the wood work was completed on the second day. The balance of the work was completed by 1 p.m. on the 3rd day. Luis proved very easy to work with, and the paint job was very well done. He moved my furniture and covered it and my carpet complexly. Its clear that Luis has worked with this crew and they work well together.

Luis and his crew arrived on time on the day scheduled and went immediately to work. The crew, always courteous, worked diligently and efficiently, putting in 9 to 10 hour days. Luis told me the work would take 5 days, and it did. They replaced soffit screens, rebuilt 2 columns, and repaired all damaged wood. Prior to painting, they scraped and sanded all wood surfaces, caulked where necessary, and power washed the entire house. All surfaces were primed, including brick. Not only are we extremely pleased with the quality of the work, we have requested another quote from Luis to paint our bedrooms. It's been a pleasure to work with Priceless Painting.

Excellent. The owner met with homeowner and provided detailed estimate within 2 days of visiting project. It was a competitive bid. The crew was professional and quiet. The owner stayed with the project and answered concerns immediately. Sheetrock repairs were excellent! Prep for woodwork was excellent! We will have Priceless Painting back for more painting in the future.The job may have taken smaller contractor twice as long, it was a relief for the homeowner to have the painting done within 5 days.

He came out the same day I contacted him and delivered the estimate the next day. We decided to go through a general contractor for convenience sake, but I was very impressed with his timely response and would contact him the next time I need painting done.

Excellent... showed up everyday, exactly on time; began working immediately-both owner and crew. Kept work areas clean and free from debris, trash, and moved plants, etc. Nothing damaged and no paint splatters. An excellent PRICELESS job!

I had my house painted in February by Luis and his crew. It only took a couple of days to get the estimate. His crew did an excellent job ? much better than my previous paint contractor. Along with the paint, I had a lot of rotted siding which was replaced with hardie plank. The working conditions that week were deplorable, heavy rain the first day and cold the next day, and yet they pulled everything off just fine.

We recently requested quotes from a few different businesses to completely re-caulk and paint the outside of our 2-story home which had chipping paint all over and rotting wood. Luis was able to come out and provide an estimate the day after I contact him. The estimate was the only one I received that fell within our budget and he was able to begin work the very next day. This was my first experience hiring someone within my budget where the quality of the work didn't suffer. I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of his team and their attention to detail. They really worked to make sure the surface of the house was cleaned, prepped, and caulked. When it was time to paint they did it all by hand (no sprayers) including the hard-to-reach chimney. There was not a drop of stray paint, an repainted EVERY surface (the exterior garage doors, gutters, and even the back door that had been badly scratched by the previous owner's dog). Any wood replaced was caulked and sanded and after painting cannot be distinguished from the original wood. All of this was done within a few days. Overall this was the best experience I've had and we're saving their information for friends and neighbors.

Luis came out the day I called him to walk down the job and provide an estimate. I received an emailed proposal that evening. He was very courteous, professional, and punctual. He responded to email inquiries and revisions promptly. We were able to arrange work to begin that week. He arrived on time the day of the work. On the first day, he had one worker repair the sheetrock, texture, and prepare for painting. Luis was good to review the job's tasks with me ahead of time so that I understood that they wouldn't finish it all in one day. I don't think the worker he had working for him spoke English but I suppose he didn't need to (or maybe he was a little surprised when I offered him some water). The repairs look better than I expected and I'm a complete perfectionist. I was worried that I would know the spots and always look at them but I honestly can't tell the difference. The repairs were far exceeded my expectations. On day 2, two guys showed up. They cleaned up after themselves and weren't really noticeable. I was never annoyed with them being at my home. They were very respectful of our privacy and the fact that I was working from home (no loud music or anything). Very, very professional. Admittedly, I was a little surprised by the original estimate being higher than I thought. I also underestimated the number of hours that it would require so of course if would seem pricey. I am fairly sure I could have found people to do it for less. I believe the difference is quality. If you want to know it's going to look good, if you want to tell someone what you want and not have to worry about it, pick these guys. I would definitely do business with them again.

He was wonderful and fabulous! Incredible to deal with, always one time, the price was great, and his work is done very thorough and detailed. I would highly recommend this company!

Unfortunately, we were unable to use his services and went with another provider but he was extremely competitive. Will contact him again.

Our appointment was set for Wednesday 2/25/2015 and as of today we still have not received a call. The potential loss to Priceless Painting is $6000-$8000. Even if the owner called today we wouldn't use him. In my line of work you show up when you schedule an appointment or you call to reschedule. If you don't want the work you say so, you don't schedule an appointment just so you don't get a bad review on Angie's list.

Luis was very responsive and punctual. No hiccups at all and the place looked AMAZING post paiting. His crew was very respectful and did an outstanding job and on time. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend. A good/ honest business man is sometimes hard to find in Houston, not with Luis Paez. You will not be disappointed.

iLuis Paez was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual and pleasant in our first meeting. He emailed me an estimate in 24 hours. His crew showed up earlier than predicted and finished a large job in 3 and a half days. It is hard to find quality painters on the west end of Galveston Island - I highly recommend Luis and Priceless Painters.

Luis came out gave us a quote and then emailed us a spread sheet detailing the job. He left the trim replacement off of 1 room so I responded with a bulleted email of what was supposed to be done with Mfg and Model of paint and trim desired. He asked us to buy the trim ourselves. (Red flag and I should have walked.) He responded with another wrong spread sheet and we confirmed the right information verbally. Scheduled the service. 1st day showed up and: 1) wanted a check for 50%. Not what we agreed to. (Reluctantly gave the check and then put a stop payment. Not getting my money until I get a good job.) 2) said he wanted to use Sherwood Williams instead of Valspar. Not what we talked about. 3) said he gave us a price to replace trim in 1 bedroom and the 2nd bedroom was going to be another $400 (reluctantly agreed as we had already rearranged our lives to accommodate the schedule) 4) He said trim in closets was not included and would be $200 more per room. (This time I said no. But wait we did talk about this prior to hiring.) 5) We said 0 or low VOC paints. When work started they were patching drywall and using some sort of primer from a spray can that was clearly not low VOC. (I should have said stop and fired them. 6) checked on them at lunchtime and the guy putting up the trim did a metier cut on 1 window and the identical window opposite has a butt cut. (When this was pointed out to the worker he said he would fix it. He did not and when Luis was told of the various trim issues he gave many excuses and convinced my wife that only the different cut issue should be fixed. the other crooked trim was necessary and had to remain as is.) 6.1) Note: I had put up the previous trim and had no issues getting it straight nor did the original builders of the house. But Luis insisted there was no other way crooked trim had to be so it was Level. Lol 7) Trim should have been 50 ft we bought 60 ft. Trim guy ran out and asked us to buy another 50 ft. (Were did the mistakes go. Because I can measure and there is not more than 60 ft of trim. 2nd day 1) Primer went up. Oh the smell, really 0 VOC?(Painter I am not but...) 2) first coat of paint went up. 3) They ran out of time and needed to come back. (We asked several times about 2 days before the job started and after the 1st day. Every time told no problem they have special blowers to dry the paint quickly. (It was a fan for drying out carpet. Lol)) 4) Luis stated they only need to come back and paint the trim, everything else was complete.(This is Tuesday and they would come back saturday.) (2 days later we saw streaks on the wall because they had not put on 2 coats of paint. When confronted over the phone Luis insisted 2 coats meant 1 primer and 1 paint coat. Either way it did not cover the wall properly and his response was lets talk on Saturday when he was their.) End of story: Luis was asked to come back Saturday and pick up his equipment on the front yard were he left my good trim (now bad) in the rain. Fired!!!! Reasons to fire: Luis always has a defensive explanation as to why he is right and that the issues were not issues. Luis' words "You are picky customers who keep changing your minds." News flash Luis: "We never changed our minds I have the emails to prove it. You never listened to your customer then demanded payment." Yet another bad Angies List recommendation.

He did an excellent job for me! He was very professional and did an excellent job keeping everything neat and paint spatter free. He was a very nice gentleman and was very informative. I would definitely recommend his services to others.

Luis came and gave me a bid the next day and was able to start the work the next business day. The prep work, the painting, and the clean up was all excellent. The attention to detail was great. He used the best paint... Sherwin Williams super paint. He finished in a day and a half. I used the exterior painting as a test to see if I wanted to bring him back for the interior work. I'm definitely going to use him again. I was extremely happy and would recommend him to anyone. I don't know any painters so turned to Angie's list. He delivered just as his rating state. I'm glad I used Angie's List. Thanks Luis!

l Mr. Paez's prep work is outstanding which makes the finished product all the better. His clean up after completion was very good. We are more than pleased and will absolutely use him some more along with some of our relatives. As we kept adding things of course we went over the estimate but feel his charge was well earned and justified.

Luis and his crew worked hard and did a good job removing all the wallpaper throughout the house, texturing the walls, and painting them. Luis stands by his work and wants to make you happy. After he started the job, we wanted these old intercoms taken off of every bedroom wall and the kitchen. He happily did it and charged a good price. Also, he came back after all the work had been completed and repainted a portion of my master bedroom ceiling because I didn't like the color. Thank you again Luis for your hard work!

Went very well. Explained to Luis we wanted it completed right away. He went out of his way to get here and complete the job in the same day. Workmanship was very proffesional, cleaned up after themselves, even vacuumed. Next time we need painting or drywall we will call Priceless Painting. P.S. This is the second time we used them and were very happy both times.

I called Luis to look at my house and he came out the same day. I had a couple of quotes and they were all pretty close. Luis followed up and offered a small discount to come do the job. No one else followed up. Priceless also applies all paint with brush and roller which I prefer over messy spraying. Guys came out one day and spray washed and caulked entire house. Next day they were there at first light to get started. Attention to detail was impeccable. Crew moved everything away from the house and laid down drop cloth around entire house. All rotted wood was removed and replaced or repaired prior to painting. Attention to keeping the area clean during and after the work was great. Finished painting in 2 days. House looks like a new house. Very good job Luis!
