Priceless Painting

The guy was responsive. They were very prompt about getting us the estimate. He definitely seemed like he tried and wrote up the estimate in a professional manner.

Luis dropped off his crew punctually each day at 8:30. The two man crew worked hard the two days they were at my house. They repaired cracks in my walls, filled in holes, sanded and prepped the walls, then put texture on them. Before they began, they cleaned the floor and taped paper down. They cleaned up and left late that afternoon. The next day they returned and painted the walls, ceiling, window trim, baseboards and one door. They then cleaned the room very well. We were extremely satisfied with both the price and the quality of work. We will definitely call Luis again for future projects. The entire process was easy and painless.

He and his workmen were prompt. The job was estimated to take 3-4 days and cost $4200. We asked additionally for the interior doors to be painted and he quoted $50 per door then changed to $75 per door. The final cost was $5100 which was over the estimate and added cost of the doors. The job was completed in 4 days as Mr. Paez stated but the completion was 7 pm on Friday night and he would not return until Monday am to put the furniture back in place. We could use none of our home. The entire house contents looked like they had been stirred and you could only walk around the perimeter of the rooms. The beds were covered with lamps, luggage, and unpacked boxes (we had just moved in). Even the kitchen table was covered. Luckily we had relatives nearby with a guest room for Friday night. On Saturday our son-in-law helped us (couple in their late 60's) move everything back so we could move back into our home on Saturday. It was a grueling task which led to increased pain for several days. Mr. Paez did come back on Monday am as promised to move our furniture back. Of course, the job was already done. I think the problem was that the work was underestimated from the beginning. There were very dark colors to cover with primer. Then we added the interior doors. The job should have been started on a Monday so the house could have been put back together on Friday. The original estimate should have been higher. The positive aspects of this very large job are that Mr. Paez was pleasant and easy to work with. His price was fair. The painting skill of all the workmen was good to excellent. Our home looks very nice now. I would use him again if he is not too upset with my frustration over the condition my home was left in for the weekend.

Luis dropped off a crew at the agreed upon time and proceeded to get them setup on work that was to be done. This transaction went pretty smooth as I had met Luis when he came out to assess the property for a bid on the job. There was a little back and forth as I withdrew some items from the proposal and counter offered on some items based upon other quotes. I felt like I was getting a fair price based upon the four other quotes I received. In the end, I chose Luis because of his Angies List rating (in spite of some negative reviews). I respected the fact that he took the time to address those negative comments. That's not to say that I agree with all of the feedback. But, at least you get the impression that he cares about his brand. Sometimes, you just have to let people have their say and let your reputation speak for itself. Luis's crew did good quality painting to two bedrooms, three closets, a pantry, and two doors. While he did leave the crew to their jobs for a while. He returned at the end to walk me through and see that everything was done right.

Our kitchen and master bath are bright, clean and freshly painted which is what we wanted after taking wallpaper down. The work was done in two days. The crew arrived at 8:30 am on first day and didn't leave until 8 pm. The second day they came at 8 and left about 6. This worked well for us since we were getting our house ready to sell but I didn't know the crew would be staying this late. My husband didn't ask about the work schedule or he didn't remember to tell me. I do think it would be helpful to customer if there was a "work plan" that described hours and how many crew working. At one time we thought everyone had gone on lunch but there was one gentleman working but I didn't know he was there. I would have given him snacks or lunch if I had know he was there. To be fair I didn't ask either just making a suggestion. The crew prepped areas well and if there was any overspray it was addressed. The crew cleaned up each day and left only what they needed.

They were professional and they did a great job. They laid drop cloths on the floors to protect the flooring and cleaned up after they were done. This is the second time we've used this company, and we've been very satisfied with their work and prices.

Luis and his crew were very professional and worked long hours for this extensive remodel. They were always willing to accommodate changes and additional work. Their work looks very good, and they cleaned up the work area well.

We tried contacting Mr. Luis Paez several times - called his contact number and wrote to him through Angie's List website. After several attempts and messages Mr. Paez never returned our calls. After two weeks we finally got a hold of him and without even listening to our needs Mr. Paez said that they were too busy and couldn't help us. I understand that they're busy but we were trying to contact him for two weeks without any response and when we do get a hold of him we don't even get the chance to explain what we needed. It is very unprofessional from his part to do that. We are very disappointed because we had high hoped after reading the reviews in Angie's List. Update - 10/1/2014 I have to say that for someone who claims to be always polite and always willing to do the best and make your customers happy, you sure do like to insult and demean people that have a difference in opinion with you (based on your reply to my review and others in this website). I did not appreciate being called a "spoiled, vindictive liar" because that's the farthest thing from the truth. I too am a hard worker with a house and a family to care for so in no way do I consider myself a king nor expected for your to drop everything and come to my rescue. I messaged you on Angie's List as a last resort because, like I said, after a couple of weeks of trying your contact number and leaving messages (by my spouse, not by me) you never returned our calls. I never spoke on the phone with you. And yes, you did respond to my message the next day but I just found it very rude to get such a short dismissive response from you. The polite way to answer would've been to say that at the moment it would be difficult to take on any more immediate work but that if we were willing to wait maybe you could schedule us sometime down the road. That way you would've given us "the client" the choice of saying that we could was (thus gaining another potential client) or NO that we needed it in a short notice thus avoiding all of this mess. I am sure that you take pride in your work and I'm sure that we would've been happy with the outcome of the work - but unfortunately there was no work to review and my review as stated was based solely on our experience trying to contact you.

I chose Priceless Painting because of the high ratings they got on Angie's List. My experience was very different. After having water damage around a window, which required me to replace drywall around that window, I hired them to install corner frame, float and texture the new drywall and affected areas of the wall to match the existing and then paint that wall. We agreed on a price which I thought was high, but was willing to pay more to get a high quality service. He did unroll the carpet and move furniture back (since I was on crutches), but left the rest. Also, there was dried drywall dripped on my windows, drywall screws and debris left on my back porch in the traffic areas as well assorted debris on the porch. After the paint dried, I felt like quality of the texturing was poor in several areas with several smooth areas that stand out when you look at it. Other areas were well done. When Luis and his crew came back the next morning, they were on time, and did clean the area reasonably well, but since then, I have found 3 more drywall screws. In addition, I had to ask them to put they blinds and valences back up. Luis insisted that the Angie's list discount was built into the price he quoted me, but never disclosed that in advance. Overall, I expected a lot better quality, better customer service and a discount. They are not coming back to my house.

Luis and his crew were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable during all aspects of the work. They were always punctual and took care of our property. They did a quality job in all aspects of the work. We are very pleased with the results and recommend Priceless Painting.

Luis and his crew are so polite and courteous, and also very punctual. I am a repeat customer: Last year about this time frame, they painted several rooms in my home and did a marvelous job! I knew the quality of Luis' work and didn't hesitate to call him again. I will definitely call him in the future when I need an expert for a paint project!

I called Priceless painting 3-13-2014 and spoke to Louis about an estimate to paint and replace rotted siding and trim on my house. We agreed to meet at my house the following day 3-14-14 at 1 pm for an inspection for an estimate. They never showed. I called at 1:30 and spoke to Louis. He said he forgot and apologized. This cost me almost an entire day!! I cant believe all the good reviews this guy got on Angie's list. He will never set foot on my property.

Luis came to quote the same day I called and gave me a quote the next day. He was here 4 days later to complete the job. Very professional and perfect quality!

Luis and his crew were professional, punctual, and committed workers. They took great care of our furniture and appliances during the process of painting, and carefully moved and covered items that needed moving and covering, including a 45 gallon saltwater fish tank! They did a fantastic job on the painting, and were responsive to our concerns where spots were missed or were not quite to our liking. They touched up all areas that were of concern to us, which were only a few, and left the house looking great after packing up all their supplies. They put all of our furniture back as it was, and only left us the paintings to hang because the walls needed to dry completely. The lines where different colors merge on adjoining walls are sharp, isolated, and crisp, as are all the lines on the trim and crown molding. The crew did a masterful job. Luis really hit the mark in estimating the time the job would take, and only went 1 day over his original estimate, for a total of 4 days to do the painting. Luis was supportive during the color selection process, and provided paint swatches and his expert advice to aid us in selecting the colors for our rooms. We are thrilled with the new look of the house, and will definitely use Priceless Painting for our future painting needs, as well as recommend them to friends and family!

We got three bids on painting our oak kitchen cabinets off white to match the walls. Luis came promptly to make the bid. I explained the reason we were having the painting done instead of doing it ourselves was because we wanted the painted cabinet surfaces to be smooth recognizing that some of the oak grain might be in minor relief. He assured us the painted surfaces would be smooth. I asked him if we would be able to replace the door hinges and he said that would be included. I showed him a cabinet door that didn't line up/close properly and asked if he could fix it. He said he would. His crew showed up promptly. I can no longer remember if he came with the crew or came later. The job took about a week. This may have been a little longer than projected but that was not a big issue for us. Now for our unhappinesses. In his write-up on Angie's list he says, "I work with my crew of 2, 3 or more people depending on the job." He doesn't. Over this period he was rarely there. He'd drop in for 10 minutes or so each day and leave. It appeared he was running multiple crews and only checking on each occasionally. As issues arose about how things were being done he was never there. His workers were often alone and many spoke little or no English, but I didn't want to deal with workers about how the job was to done anyway. After this happened a couple of times (one the smoothness problem below) I explained to him I was not happy with him never being there when issues arose and thus they could not be corrected before things had gone too far. He said, "Just call me on my cell phone" When the next issue arose I called. The call went into his voice mail. He didn't call back for hours -- too late. This was a chronic problem. There were other problems/issues but the most troubling was when I saw they were painting primer on with a roller that was stippling the surfaces (leaving the surface bumpy). This had been done to all the surfaces before he was available to discuss it. When he was finally available the paint was dry, but he said something like 'We'll sand that down. Don't worry the surface will be smooth.' The surfaces never got smooth. Just as I suspected when he said this, the bumps became somewhat subdued but are there today. From a distance you don't notice them but as you get close to the cabinets they're obvious. It's difficult to take a picture that shows how the surfaces look but I've tried and will post this picture. After what I considered a half-hearted effort he said he couldn't use the new hinges I had bought. He said the door he had looked at before submitting his bid was not made right so he couldn't make it fit. It still won't close. If he had just said at the beginning he couldn't fix it I would have gotten it fixed before he painted. Now, it would have to be repainted and maybe not match. The job he did isn't awful but isn't what we wanted and expected.

I'm so happy with the prompt professional job that I'm using their services again next week!

I phoned Priceless Painting to get an estimate on various projects. An appointment was set for the same day and Luis showed up early to provide the estimate. He and his crew arrived on time the following morning and went to work immediately. The drywall project was done first so that it would have time to dry while other tasks were being done. Luis was in and out throughout the day checking on progress and making runs to buy matching wall paint, baseboard trim and the deck finish that we had chosen. Because of the number and types of projects that we had requested, all of the work could not be accomplished in one day, so they packed up all of their equipment, cleaned up any messes and left at a reasonable time. They showed up on time the next morning and completed everything to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the professionalism of Luis and his crew, as well as the quality of their workmanship. The baseboard trim that they installed looks better than the original in fit and finish, and it is impossible to tell where the drywall was repaired. In all, Priceless Painting did an outstanding job and we would recommend them highly. I might add that my wife was impressed with the clean-up job that they did before leaving our home.

Work was completed in a timely manner. All calls and emails were responded to quickly. We started the project, but soon realized the job would be too much for us. Luis called back immediately and scheduled a visit to provide an estimate. Work was scheduled after that and Luis and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in 1 day.

I was very pleased with the work that Priceless Painting did. Their works looks great and when doing the final walk through I found nothing for them to touch up and I am a very picky person! I was also impressed with the cleaning they did at the end of each day even though they were coming back the follow day. This was very nice as we still needed to go into the bathroom to access our closet.

They pressure washed the house first. Then, they replace all of the rotted wood trim and siding. They patched and primed before painting. Two coats were put on everything. They did a good job and left the job site clean. They were always prompt and worked very hard the entire time. I would recommend Priceless Painting highly.

It's not the first time when I hired Lois.The first couple of times it was good but quality seems to deteriorate with each subsequent job. They bumped my front door previously with their equipment - I did not say anything as such things happen. Today Lois himself noticed the new hard wood floors we installed a day earlier. Naively I thought that this would be a sign of minding that. Absolutely not. They scratched a new floor in several places with their equipment in the room and the stairs. When I pointed that out to Lois that I was not happy with that and he needed to fix that, the response was that he was here to paint.. He brought some lame black pencil and covered the scratches as if he does not know that there are brown markers for wood. The problem with them that they do not care about such things. I will not hire them again. I think these folks are arrogant and do not respect the environment they are working in. Did I mention that they came to work without a ladder?

I had a tinted primer made up and the paint store did not do it right. Unfortunately we did not realize that until we opened the can. They made it work and finished the job. Did a great job and we are very happy with the results. They showed up on time and cleaned up. Would never know they were here.

We recently moved to a different home less than 2 weeks ago. The entire interior of the home needed repainted. I have done all the painting in the past, but this was a daunting job. There were countless numbers of nail holes that needed to be filled and several nooks and crannies. We decided to get some estimates from professional painters. Luis came out the very evening I called to provide the estimate. He was very prompt and professional. We had a written estimate emailed the next morning. We decided to go with Priceless Painting based on the good reviews on Angie's List. I called Luis and he said he could start the job the next week. I was thrilled. I would not have to wait a long time to have the work done. Luis and his crew showed up at the agreed time and immediately went to work. They moved all the furniture, laid drop cloths over all the flooring, and removed all the blinds and hardware. They did an amazing job! All nail holes were filled and they caulked all cracks and crevices. Luis estimated it would take two and a half days, but they were done in only a day and a half, and they did not cut any corners. They were quick, efficient, and very tidy. It was well worth the money and I will be using them again in the future, as the exterior of the house needs painting too!

They were professional, on time and worked with little breaks. Work was done well.
