Description of Work: My wife and I wanted to have stair runners installed in our newly purchased home so we went to Jack's carpet store in webster (Opp.Baybrook Mall).We then proceeded to select the carpet for the stair runners and had the sales person (Mark) take the measurement of the stairs and then paid him up front for the carpet and its installation ($2400).We were told that in 2 weeks the carpet would be installed.After two weeks the Sales person informed us that the carpet was ready to install, however on the very day of installation my wife called the store and was told that the installation was canceled and that the carpet was out of stock and that particular type of design could not be installed .We were asked to make another selection, my wife and I again went to the store and again selected another carpet and were informed that this particular carpet was in stock and they had to take new measurements.Anyway they took all the information and said that the carpet should be installed in 10-14 days.So we waited for another 2 weeks after which we were informed again that they were not able to get this carpet, however they might be able to get our first carpet selection in another week and that despite the reservations of their installer that they would be able to install this particular design on our stairway.After a week ,my wife was informed that the carpet was finally here and that they would install it on 5/17/2012 ,however when I got home that day I noticed that the carpet for the smaller stair stair was done very well however they used the same dimension for the larger winding stairway which seemed out of proportion to the stairs.I tried emailing the Sales person, spoke to Mr JC and emailed him pictures of the stairway and so far they have promised to look into the matter.My wife and I were very much frustrated by this Company --lack of knowledge and training of the Sales person,poor communication , lack of concern for the customer and more importantly poor service and follow up services.This will be our first and last purchase from Jack's Carpet store and we are certainly not going to recommend this store to any of our family or friends unless they start changing their modus operandi !!!

I was not happy with them. I bought the product from them and everything went well until the installation. The crew treated me very badly and I did not appreciate it. The crew did not understand the language I was speaking in. They were speaking in Spanish and I could understand Spanish. They were talking out loud about me in my presence amongst each other. They were cursing me. I had the furniture cleared, I cleaned the floor and everything was ready to go. These guys took all day long to install the carpets in 2 bedrooms which they shouldn?t have because they sat around for most part of the day. The chief guy told me he could not install the threshold because there were uneven surfaces. I told him to get the threshold that was compatible with the needs of the floor. I kept telling them to make sure that the port around covers the edge of the floor but he was giving me a lot of grief. There was a huge cultural difference. I felt I was discriminated because of my gender and the language barrier. I will never ever use them again. I spent $1000 on the installation. I don?t have to spend that kind of money to be treated the way I was treated. That was really insulting. The product was good and they were punctual.
