Juan was very professional and fair in the process of quoting and performing the work in my home. He was able to offer a competitive price and complete the work in the time promised. I am very satisfied with the quality of his work, and would definitely hire him again in the future.

He was very professional and honest. He was straight forward with me and even gave me an estimate of what I should be looking for when trying to hire another company for the work. He took a lot of time with me even while knowing he wasn't getting paid.

Went great talk to Allen if in spring area he is good guy and helps make things get done right. He told me they are not leaving .. Great guys helpful professional with things I was over looking he said would be good. just call and schedule a quote will be pleased .

His recommendations for what was needed were knowledgeable and spot on. He did not include a bunch of work that really didn't need to be done, as I experienced with other job bidders. Juan did a fantastic job and I can definitely recommend him to others. It's shocking that he is able to do all of the work by himself. Juan is a perfectionist and you will certainly be happy with the final product - all of his lines are absolutely perfect even when the walls aren't built perfectly. Juan always arrived early each morning and worked non-stop through the day. He has great energy and is very knowledgeable regarding the different finishes and quality of paint. His one coat is equal to others two coats. Am very happy with the work and will certainly contact him again.

At the time of the quote, let him know my schedule was fairly flexible. He originally told me he would want to work from 6:00 pm. to about 8-9 pm. for about 3 evenings, which was acceptable to me. Then he rescheduled to being on a Wednesday at noon, which was also fine. The day the work was to begin I tried to confirm with him however his phone was not working, I could not place a call to him nor would a txt work. Then about the time he was scheduled to begin he txted asking to begin the following day at 8:00 a.m. I let him know that I could not meet him until around 9:00 and he texted me that my schedule was unacceptable. At that point I cancelled with him and found another company to do the work.

Juan of Five Star Rated Painting did a great job of painting the entire downstairs of our house. He took care of the ceilings, trim, doors, walls, closets and pantry. The work is first rate and looks great. Juan likes straight lines so the ceiling and wall seam is amazingly straight and we all know that houses are not straight, no idea how he did it but it looks great. We will be utilizing his services when we paint the upstairs bedrooms. His pricing is up front and broken down by room (walls, ceilings, trim), his actual cost for materials was lower than estimated so I saw that savings on the final bill. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting their house painted. Follow on to painting upstairs: Juan and I emailed the night before to confirm his start time. 2 hours after his start time, no Juan. After a quick text, turns out Juan did not like my B grade for punctuality so he didn't want to work for me anymore. Juan did not call/text/email me so I spent time waiting for a contractor who did not have the courtesy to contact me that he was not coming to do the agreed upon job. Juan has every right to fire a customer, but at least give me the courtesy of telling me so I don't waste my time waiting for nothing. Juan is a good painter, but his time management needs work. I understand things come up, but if he just told me he was going to be there at noon instead of 8:30, all would be good. Instead he just doesn't show up and doesn't notify you. I take time off of work to be at home to help him move furniture so he can paint. Apparently the bad reviews for Juan are because of a lack of communication on showing up to do the work, not for the actual work. Part of doing business is communication with your customers and when you plan to actually show up. Apparently a B in punctuality is fatal to doing business with Juan, even though his overall rating was an A. I unfortunately have to change my review to reflect the less than professional notification of him not wanting to work for me.

I spoke to Juan on Friday August 28th and he indicated he could come out on Sunday August 30th at noon. He texted me at 10:30 on Sunday morning and asked if he could come at 11:30. I was in church and didn't see his text messages. Subsequently at 10:56 he texted, saying he didn't get a response, was not interested in doing my work anymore and that I needed to understand that his time is very limited because he has other responsibilities. Whatever...I don't need the hassle of his way of doing business.

Honestly, no idea what happened here. This review is from someone who is completely frustrated with this situation, as I know Juan is a great painter and does awesome work. I previously used Juan and he was great. Unfortunately, Juan just completely botched my last interaction with him. I originally called Juan to give me a quote on a lot of work, most notably, my baby nursery. This was in late May with work to be done in a few weeks. Early June comes around, I touch base with Juan, he tells me he can't paint my house because he's got a huge backlog. Fair enough. My wife and I had planned this so we could have enough time before the baby came, so it really wasn't that big a deal. He told me 6 weeks was the earliest he could do it. OK, not ideal, but we would make it work. 6 weeks roll around. I call him, we agree on a date and I am thinking we are good. The date comes, it was the week of July 13th. I call to confirm the day before, no answer. But my wife was able to get him and confirm. Next day comes, he texts my wife 5 minutes before we agree to meet and says he's ill and cant make it. Fair enough, we all get sick. I ask him to please keep me posted on when he will be able to come, assuming it would be in the next day or so. Next day goes by, no communication. Day after that, same thing. Several days go by with me trying to reach him and no response. Finally, I get a text from his wife- which, I have no idea if it was actually her- saying Juan needed surgery and was in Mexico, I should get another painter. Ok, so at this point, I am screwed, but assuming he's actually really sick, then it is totally understandable and I feel for the guy. One month goes by and I decide to check Angie's List to confirm if this story is reasonable or not (this was last week). Looks like he had done jobs since then. So, now I am kinda frustrated. So I try and call, no answer. I text. No answer. Wait a few more days, call and text. No answer. Finally, I send one final text asking why he's avoiding my call. He responds, saying he's sorry/busy and he would call me later that evening (this was last Saturday). No call. I have tried to call/text since then and gotten nothing. So, here I am, still trying to get the stuff I wanted him to do, done. Yet I get no responses. I honestly have no idea why he is not responding. I have been nothing but respectful and professional to him, even referring him to all my friends. Sad thing is, if he were to call me back, I would still want him to do my work! So, if this review seems confusing as h***, well it's not you, it's just a frustrated reviewer. Prior to this latest interaction, would I have recommended Juan?, 100%. Now, unfortunately no. Acting like this is just unacceptable.

Excellent and professional painter. We will be using him again. Juan maintained communication from beginning to end. He is a one-man operation, which is nice because you don't have a crew of people in your house. He is a perfectionist in his work and I was very pleased with the outcome. He works quickly and efficiently and takes great pride in providing you with exactly what you want. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a painting contractor.

Juan responded quickly to all communications, showed up on time, helped me with ideas about how to save money when buying the paint (unfortunately, I had already purchased the paint, but will follow his advice next time). He worked professionally, quietly, and quickly. The touch-up was problematic because the paint store gave me the wrong color paint, but I had an old can of the right color. Juan was able to use a bit of the old can and do the touch up. I am already planning on what other rooms need painting, and will call Juan again to do those.

I scheduled a quote with this company/person for last week at 6:00pm, but they never showed up or even bothered to call me to re-schedule. So I thought okay, things happen. I'll give them one more shot at this. I called them back today to try to re-schedule a quote and Mr. Rodriguez was offended that during our conversation I laughed. He mistakenly thought I was insulting him in some way. Which I wasn't. He asked me when I was looking to get the work done and I said not tomorrow, but I just need a quote to decide if this is something I can afford to do. (I'm looking to have one small bedroom painted to prepare for the new addition to our family). He abruptly told me he thought I was making fun of him and that he didn't feel this was the job for him and hung up on me. I was shocked at how unprofessional he was on the phone. Glad I found out now, before actually hiring him to do the work! Mr. Juan Rodriguez, you were very rude and unprofessional to me on the phone. Really uncalled for I think.

Amazing - so easy to work with, very personable. We struggled with picking the right color at first and he actually painted one room and my wife and I looked at it and said "oh no - we don't like that color", Juan didn't complain, wasn't frustrated he just told us to let him know when we had the color ready. He didn't even charge us for re-painting the room (only the 2 gallons of paint he bought for that room). His attention to detail was great - great paint lines. His patching work left us speechless - I thought when I patched stuff it looked "good/ok" I feel like my patching is horrific compared to his work. We wanted the job to look great and wanted to stick to a budget and he ended up painting the house with one coat and it looked good and it ended up saving us money. Now when it came to touch ups - I am pretty anal and I thought for sure he wouldn't be happy when I pointed out some of the tiny spots I found to my surprise Juan never complained or made excuses he just said he would fix it and he did! Awesome job and will definitely use again!!

Juan Rodriguez did an awesome job painting my house. He painted the entire house on his own without any help, which was a big task because I have a good-sized house. Juan is very meticulous in his work--the walls and ceilings were cut in beautifully and he was so neat with his work. Even though it was a lot of work for one person to do the house on his own, I'm actually glad he didn't have any help because Juan is a perfectionist and made sure all the work was done correctly. Juan was also very patient with me because I kind of had a difficult time deciding on certain paint colors, but he was very helpful in giving me advice and making recommendations. I would definitely recommend him to others and will consider hiring him do additional work in the future. I think he is very honest, and he responded to my calls and text messages quickly. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews because they came from people that he didn't provide services to. The people that had their houses painted gave him excellent reviews, which I am also doing. He gets FIVE STARS in my book!

That's the perfect question...what did the provider do and that is nothing. Juan started out in high standing with me when he returned my message about painting my home. And he remained in high standing with me when he followed up as promised to confirm my scheduled appointment to complete my service. But he did not follow through with the appointment as scheduled. Yes that's right. Juan and his crew were a no show to my home for their scheduled appointment. I understand things happen, so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt by calling his cell several times and left a message to either confirm if they were running late or whether or not I simply needed to reschedule. Again, there was no response and I still have not received a response. To me this company is not reliable in the least and I will not be using them again. If you are looking for a unreliable company, be sure to give this company a try. However, if you are looking to actually get your service completed as promised, I would suggest you go with another company. Highly disappointed I will be requesting a refund

Outstanding, throughout the complete process. Mr. Rodriguez was a pleassure to work with. His written quotation was accurate. I requested a few changes and he was very accomodating. He and his worker were very thorough, tidy and polite. They did all the walls, base boards, all doors and one large ceiling. Everything went smoothly from the first contact to the final walk through with Mr. Rodriguez. He even helped me out by installing a light fixture in the 18 ft high stairwell. They did a wonderful job. And, when they were finished doing excellent work, he thanked me for being respectful and kind to them. What a great company!

I originally purchased the 'big deal' and was so impressed with Juan and his work that I purchased additional painting services from him. He was prompt, punctual, articulate and professional in every respect. I could not have asked for a more professional painting contractor to paint the interior of our home. Everything was carefully taped and carefully 'cut in' and prepped prior to their beginning to paint. Furniture was moved, covered, floors covered and protected, Juan and his assistant were very efficient and completed the job in one day. I definitely plan on using him for additional painting in the future.

Went very, very well. Very punctual. Bought the special on a Wed and the rooms were painted on Friday. All throughout, Juan was very responsive, punctual and professional. They did a very good job and did it quickly. Very happy with the overall result.

We initially brought Juan and his crew out for a Big Deal we purchased that included 3 rooms of painting. Juan did a great job on everything, so we asked him to come out a few weeks later to paint some additional rooms. In addition to the painting, he did a bit of caulking along our crown molding and baseboards to cover up some paint that had gotten through the tape during previous paint jobs. That made everything look especially crisp. Additionally, we had him patch the sheet rock to remove a tub access hole and re-texture the wall there. Juan did a great job matching the texture that was already there. Juan was quick to respond to phone calls and texts.

Spray washed, prepared house and painted the exterior of home. I can't say enough about Juan and his helper, they communicate well, very prompt and want to make sure you are happy with the job before the leave. The cleanup afterward was another surprise, we didn't have to do anything. WHAT A FANTASTIC business to deal with. They will be doing all my painting. Thank you Juan for a wonderful job well done!!!!
