Description of Work: Painted exterior of house. Juan is a very professional and detail oriented painter who takes extreme pride in the quality of his work. His attention to the finer points of the preparation work, including loose nails, calking, and masking areas not to be painted, were second to none. The painting itself was equally well done. My only complaints were waiting for HOA approval and with the rain, both outside his control. Once the job was scheduled, Juan had to work around intermittent rainy spells, which meant more work for him and more time on the job. He refused to compromise on the quality of his work, even if it took extra time to do it.

Description of Work: The scope of the work performed does not match this coupon or deal. Major repair work has been professionally. Easy to communicate with and truly care about the priority scope of work that the customer needs.

Description of Work: I purchased the Five Star Painting deal, 3 rooms/$499 based on the many excellent reviews posted. I was contacted within 48 hours(via email) by the company. I requested a copy of their insurance certificate. I was told that they do not have liability coverage. My condo association does not permit outside contractors to work on the premise unless they have liability insurance and provide proof of coverage, i.e., insurance certificate. The work can not be approved without it. The company stated they can not do the work. Therefore, I am requesting a refund. I am still interested in having the work done and will contact another Angie's List painting contractor. However I will inquire about their liability coverage before purchasing another deal. I mistakenly thought that all contractors on the list are insured. While the company appears to be a very reputable business and employs skilled craftsmen, the condo association requires that the contractor company is insured because of the potential risks associated with home improvement work. Please process the refund as soon as possible. Thank you.
