Clear Lake Movers is wonderful!. I hired them to move some large and heavy items, such as a big sofa and u-shaped executive desk, from my old office in Pasadena to my new office in Nassau Bay. They were very professional. They communicated well with me about their arrival time and actually were able to arrive a little earlier then my original appointment (after clearing it with me first). The movers worked quickly and took great care not to damage my furniture or the facility. They made moving the furniture look so easy! It took them 2 hours to move some things that I would have taken my family an entire weekend to move. They were also very reasonably priced. I would definitely hire them again in the future. I actually regret that I did not hire them sooner. I wasted a lot of time trying to move some of my office furniture myself, and damaged some things. Had I know how easy and affordable it was to hire movers from Clear Lake Movers, I would have hired them from the get go.

The movers called to let me know that they were on their way and the eta. They were extremely professional.

It went very well and I would recommend them. They did a good job and did not scratch anything. They were courteous and professional.

When I first contacted Clear Lake Movers it was to have help packing the majority of my home for staging purposes before actually moving out. The owner came to get the workers started and make sure they understood what I wanted packed. The workers packed a few more things than I wanted, including every pot and pan in the kitchen. Minor problem. A couple weeks later when I had a firm move date, I called back and after missing the time he said he would come back for a final estimate, we rescheduled. He arrived and looked at my remaining furniture and said it would cost me $10,000 but that included the truck, 4 people to finish the packing and loading, and 3 people to drive taking turns all the way from Houston to Los Angeles. The problem I have with this company is not the price charged for the work. The price is great for all that distance, time, gas, etc and knowing that my belongings would be the only ones on the truck. That I wouldn't be at the mercy of other people's schedules. The biggest problem is that he repeatedly lied to me about the number of personnel coming. My time is valuable, just like everyone else's. When move out day arrived, there were 3 workers and not 4, since I was paying hourly I believe that I paid for at least an extra hour because there weren't 4 people. Then, when the truck arrived in Los Angeles at my new home I was horrified to find ONE worker and the boss's niece. She is licensed to drive the truck and she did help carry items...but so did I, and so did my husband, and my 5 year old son. Unacceptable. There should have been 2 professional movers, and then his niece as additional help. I shouldn't have needed to lift a finger, but it still took them at least 3.5 hours to unload. Oh and some of the items unloaded were GARBAGE. Items that I put on the curb at my home to be taken by the city trash and recycle not meant to be loaded into the truck. Now as I unpack my boxes I keep finding trash and recyclables. There was literally a blue bag that said CITY RECYCLE on it full of empty cans and bottles that I found when unpacking the truck. YUCK! Bottom line, you can't turn your back for a second, the movers are not using common sense. They are packing everything, everywhere. If you need some items packed and moved to your garage, they can do it if you watch them like a hawk. Otherwise your last pot, pan, and toothbrush will wind up packed. Bottom line, if it looks too good to be true it probably is. If you are moving cross country, bite the bullet and call a big national mover like Mayflower or Allied.

Clear Lake movers made this one of the easiest moves I have experienced. Will definitely recommend them to family and friends.

The men were very professional, nice and fast and were very reasonable. I got the senior discount. I would use them again as they did a great job!

Called on a Thursday. Asked if they had any availability for that Saturday. I was told they did, but only in the afternoon. Asked about a quote and was told that he was busy that day, but available on the next day, on Friday, at any time. We scheduled a 12:00 walk-through. I called the main number, at 12:30. Was told he was on his way from his last appointment and would be there "in a minute." He actually showed up at 1:00, and did the walkthrough. He said that he'd been held up by the previous appointment, and was polite in thanking us for being patient. Both my boyfriend and I remember that he said that he would email the quote that night. We said our goodbyes and, "See you tomorrow."s... Never emailed a quote. And never showed up. And didn't answer or return phone calls or voicemails that afternoon, when I was checking on the schedule. Or at least, not from MY cellphone. He did answer my boyfriend's cell phone, from which he claimed that he never understood it to be that Saturday, both of our previous contacts to the contrary, that he was planning on sending the quote that night and then we'd schedule the move. He said that he could have a group of people show up at 7:30 AM on the next day, Sunday, and I asked for him to call me back after I had a chance to eat some lunch. Several hours later, after 5:00, I finally gave up and hired a different moving company for the next day. Update: Wow. I was going to upgrade the professionalism grade, as he did call back after I had cancelled to apologize that he'd understood the wrong day and tell me again that he could have people out there the next day. I declined, as I had booked someone else. It had taken several calls, as it was at that point even more last minute than when my original plans got up-ended and I'd called him. However, I've just read the response. The first sentence is correct. Other than the details that are inaccurate, salacious, and frankly insulting, in the second, my answers to his direct questions about my employment (which happened on Friday, not Thursday) probably aren't any of his business, but it's an odd thing to complain about after you ask the questions. I also think that he's gotten "exclaimed" and "explained" mixed up throughout. In trying to be fair, I've rechecked my call log and my email. If an email was sent, I never got it; it's not even in my junk mail. The only call I ever received from him unbidden was after I cancelled. I did try to call that morning to confirm that he was going to show up that afternoon. Because I was expecting the bid that he said he was going to send, and that was my first clue that something might be amiss. And I believe him that he confused the schedule for the 16th and the 23rd. I talked to several companies whose schedules were full for "this Saturday, the 16th," and one that the scheduler had a 3 hour window, which wasn't nearly enough. And I think we both wished he'd told me, "Nope, sorry, the 16th is full." The thing is, he doesn't come across as this unprofessional in person. I couldn't tell you if it was him or his office staff not sending out emails, or making calls to clients - just that I didn't get them.

In a word, Outstanding! On time, friendly, efficient, fast, careful; I will never use any other mover.

Communicated via Email and phone. I described the origin and destination points and the type of stuff to be moved from a 1 BR apartment to a new home. They arrived on time, they did the job quickly and efficiently and were friendly. The only minor issue was that someone called me exactly 1 week earlier before the planned date and time to do the move. They had a minor scheduling issue obviously, and I know it wasn't my mistake because I had communicated everything in simple and clear e-mails. Final bill was a little less than the verbal quote. (How often does that happen?) That was a pleasant surprise. Overall my experience was very good to excellent.

If it wasn't for the actual movers themselves that did the work at my home, I would give the company an F. The guys that did the work were punctual, courteous, and very professional hard working guys. Now for the negative which I am still upset over. Upon calling around for estimates I spoke with the company and was quoted a set price. I understood that there would be a 2 hour minimum, but we negotiated a 15% off the normal price due to the fact that the large moving truck would not be needed. I cited that I was an Angie's List member and that they listed a 10% coupon on the site. Since he was already giving me a break in the price though due to the truck, I was ok with the price we set. Now, once the movers arrived the lead guy there quoted me a price well over $50 more than what I had discussed over the phone. He was very nice about it and said that he would call and verify. After about 5 minutes of him discussing this over the phone, he came back and said that the best they would do was to come down another $20. I should have just told them no and sent them on their way, but I was in a jam and really needed these items moved quickly. So all said and done, Clear Lake Movers did not honor their quote given to me over the phone and charged me $30 more than I was initially quoted. The sad part about it too was the fact that the job barely even took half an hour once they arrived. I should have gotten the numbers in writing and will take this as a lesson learned. So my advice to anyone looking to use them in the future is to get everything in writing from the owner giving out quotes. The work done was performed well, but the owner doesn't seem interested in honoring his word.

Already had boxed the household "stuff" They shrink wrapped large fragile things. Didn't need direction but took request and asked appropriate questions before just placing things in new apartment. These guys had another job before and after our move. They were friendly, fast and FANTASTIC at what they do. Will reccommend to all our family and friends.

It went incredibly well. They helped us move so much that it filled their truck.

They were very responsive to my initial calls. I booked them based on Angies List score and told them so. He said that he had been getting a lot of good referrals from Angies List. I called him a week before my scheduled move when I called back to schedule the move he acted as though he didn't remeber talking with me. Then I was told that he forgot to write my info down and he did remember me calling but he couldn't do the move on the requested day Saturday but could be here on Sunday. It rained all day Saturday so I thought that was a good trhing on my part. On Sunday I showed up at my storage facality at 8 AM but they never showed up by 9 AM. I called and again I was told he didn't remember me calling and then he did but forgot to write our move down and he said he would be there by 10 AM, He then called and said he would be there by Noon. Finally around 2 PM he finally called and said they were on their way. The main problem it not being on time was my wife was scheduled to fly out of town at noon for work so by the time they got everything packed she wasn't avaialble to tell them where she wanted the furniture placed so I had to move it all by myself when she returned the next week. The workers were professional but the scheduling and getting to the job on time sucked. I will not use them again.

I needed some items moved so my contractor could do some work. Called Clear Lake Movers in the am and set up a time for 4 pm that afternoon. The movers had a blow out and didn't arrive until about 5:20 p.m. The movers Shawn, Thomas and Manual were polite and worked fast.They completed the move without damaging my newly painted walls or my furniture. The one thing I discovered the next morning is that one of our scarves was used to tie down the sleeper sofa for the move to the curb without permission and it was left on the sofa to be discarded. I was unaware that cash only was accepted because the listing on Angie's list lists other forms of payment. I had to rush to the bank to get cash to pay the movers. Other than these things, my experience was a good one.

Clear Lake Movers was referred to me by the apartment complex I am moving to. I called and spoke with David and a reservation was made for a move scheduled for Sept 24. I called David today, Sept 21, to add services to my move. To further explain, my original reservation was for movers to 'unload'. I called to request if a 'load' as well as an 'unload' service could be provided. Yes it can. When I asked about whether the movers would have dollies is when it all went down hill. David's exact words were "No. You are absolutely incorrect. Let me educate you." Boy, did he make me feel dumb! Subsequently, David requested to cancel the reservation. I have worked in a professional atmosphere for over 15 years in the banking industry and know how to be professional over the phose. Obviously, David does not. I would NOT recommend you use Clear Lake Movers, unless you are "educated" on moving services. My experience with David was extremely unpleasant.
