They called to confirm the appointment for estimate and showed up on time. They came on the day promised and did the they work. They gave a very detailed explanation of what they had to do and why. No question that I will use them again.

Provided details of repairs required. Very friendly and professional. Shared information on other jobs they had performed. Repairs completed quickly...worked as a team assisting each other with the repairs. Left work area neat and clean.

It all went very well. He came out and gave me a quote for a number of other things I asked him to look at. They came later that week and fixed everything before the rain started. I was very please with him. He did all the work for the quoted price.

They were on time, honest, cleaned up after themselves and were very knowledgeable.

I contacted Vance via Angie's List and explained that we had just purchased a home. Vance came over and explained what was required which luckily for me was not too much. We agreed on a date and time, but due to rainy weather the work had to be rescheduled. The day the work was completed I was not present, but he took the time to explain the work that was completed to my wife.

Great job, super fast service and reasonable price. Highly recommend him to others.

Arrived on time and very professional. Every step of the way Vance Boyer kept us informed of what was going on. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs roofing work done. When the job was finished all old and scrap material was hauled away. We were very pleased with the work preformed at our home. This past week we had quiet a bit of rain and I went outside to check the work Vance had done for any leaks, and there was none. Great job!!!!!!

Very responsive and good price.

After being 2 hrs and 20 minutes late my husband had to call and ask when coming they were coming. They said that they would be at our house in 1 hour but it was over 1.5 hrs later. They were polite and professional when here but they need to be on time or call and provide an accurate time. Price was $25 higher than estimated. The problem was that they did not come when scheduled and that they did not call to let my husband know.

My insurance company requires a certificate of liability coverage and an IRS tax identification form from the company repairing my roof after severe hail damage. I was pleased with Vance's knowledge and estimate and was prepared to hire him, but after trying to get these documents from him since November, I give up. If everything is above-board, what's the hesitation? He won't even respond to my requests now--very questionable behavior. Proceed with caution.

Vance was very knowledgeable about his trade and answered my many questions regarding my concerns of my roof. A Honesty Roofing was my 5th estimate and the prices ranges from $900 to $350. Most of the estimates were over $800 for essentially doing the same work as Vance quoted me for his price. I received only one estimate that was lower than A Honesty Roofing's, and the lower estimate that I received did not include all of the work that I felt was needed on my roof. Vance lives up to the name of his company: "A Honesty Roofing". I felt that I could trust Vance to tell me what was really necessary for my roof repair. Some of the estimates that I received was not only overpriced, but they were trying to charge me for extra work that I did not need. I would definitely recommend him for any roofing job.

One man show, and punctual, courteous, and did good work. Would deal with him again.

Vance was more than punctual, several times he beat me home and was already working when I arrived. He surprised me whenever told me that I wouldn't need a new roof the existing roof would last 5-6 more years. Imagine a sales person talking you out of a sale. He has all my future work and anyone else's that I run across needing a roof. Honesty Roofing has all my roofing work.

Arrived on time for scheduled appointment. Inspected & photoed storm damage. I though estimate was too low for quality work. Repairs were completed next day. Did a quality job at a low price. I would recommend this company, service to all. Vance was very informative and professional.

I have owned real estate, built new houses, and remodeled houses for 40 years. Finding a reliable, trustworthy roofer presents a unique set of challenges. I turned to Angie's List for contact for contractors to fix the problem of a roofing leak on one of my properties. I selected three contractors based on the reviews and proximity to my address. One did not show. One made a determination that the problem was fixable for $700. His diagnosis and remedy sounded logical. Again, since I am experienced in this area, I thought that it was reasonable and the price for the work was fair. I had confidence in the roofer based on the reviews and my knowledge. I authorized him to begin work. He said that because of his schedule it would be a couple of weeks. Then, Vance meets me at the house and listens as I identify the problem. He climbs on the roof and traces to the source of the leak. I join him on the roof, he lifts certain shingles giving an explanation of his findings, and shows evidence to me of water intrusion. His analysis was very logical and seemed on target. I then asked him to look at the area identified by the prior company as needing repair and he could not find a leak. I contacted the other roofer and cancelled the proposed work. I gave Vance authorization to do the work and he performed the work in a very professional manner. Would I recommend Vance Boyer of A Honesty Roofing? Yes, yes, and yes. I consider him a credit to the Roofing Contractor Profession and a credit to Angie's List. I wish all were as credible as this man. He saved me from spending a bunch of money for work that would not have fixed the problem. If you are looking for honesty, integrity, and professionalism from a contractor, then, you must talk to Vance. He will be my first call next time. He earned this review the old fashioned way.

He repaired the flashing, that had come away from the house. He also caulked a 2*4 that was parallel to the roof, that had also come away from the house, due to it being treated wood that had now dried and pulled away. He caulked around some siding that was on the second story and nailed down any shingles that had bulged up. He also nailed all nail heads that were sticking up, and looked for any missing shingles to replace.

Even thought I did not want to lose the plant it needed to be removed because it was too close to the roof. Vance is very protective of roofs. Vance made sure every step of these repairs were done to perfection. He took a paint sample (lid from paint can) to match the trim color when he bought the supplies. While he was reattaching the facia boards he replaced the nails with longer wood and weather resistant screws. We are very impressed with Vance's professional ethics and his skills. He is our go to guy!

We would recommend them. They came out and did an estimate and it everything went well.

Although Mr. Boyer was about an hour late arriving at my home, once he began he didn't stop until the job was complete. The price was exactly what was proposed. Thanks Vance for giving us a leak free roof.

Vance will listen to what you have to say and if there is any concerns he will discuss them with you and make it right.

This was a great experience. I found Vance on Angie's List and he was extremely responsive from the time I called him. He came right out and took time to examine what was going on and to explain it. He was very knowledgable and his price seemed reasonable so I actually canceled an appointment for another company to come out and give me a quote. He came out the next week and did the repair and it looks very good. Again, he took time to explain everything. I think the name of his company- A Honesty Roofing- is correct. He actually reduced his fee by $17 from the amount quoted since his original quote included purchase of paint that he ended up not needing. I forgot about this and wouldn't have known the difference. But he did. I would definitely use his services again.

I have to add my rave review to the others I have read on other sites. Indeed I was surprised to find that Vance and Ahonesty roofing wasn't on Angie's list until I realized that he was not a huge operation with multiple crews. He actually does most of the work himself, personally. And the work he does is first rate. Everything was done to specifications, and there were no "extra this" or "extra that" in terms of expenses. He did exactly what he had said ... even when the job was tougher than he thought it might be (he needed to use more shingles than expected because the ones that were being removed did not come off easily; breakage of nearby shingles thus became an issue) or when his proposal failed to account for all the work done (he had bid for one whirly bird but there were two). He told me what was happening but reiterated that he is a man of his word, so any excess costs were out of his pocket. He scheduled with me over several days and arrived when he said he would, and worked until he completed the job. In fact, I am so pleased with his work that he has bid (and won the bid) for additional repair work related to the inspection. Vance is a real find in the world of contractor/roofing/remodeling/repairing. He is an experienced young contractor for whom this is a career, with a work ethic, and sense of commitment that is hard to find these days. I almost hesitate to share this diamond for fear that he will become difficult to schedule for his current customers. But that's what this list is all about; so I will share this good news!
