The job proved to be more difficult than originally estimated so it required additional tools not normally required. He worked with me as it was the end of the day and the supply houses were closed. He was back the next morning as promised and completed the job and he honored the original estimate. Ben was very pleasant to work with and very professional. I will definitely give him another opportunity the next time I need electrical work done.
Description of Work: Installed an electrical outlet in my see through fireplace to accommodate a blower on a fireplace insert.

I initially paid for an Angie's deal ($99 for 2 hours electrical work) to figure out why the lights in our house were flickering. This turned out to be due to a burnt connector from the transformer line to A phase line, which was replaced/repaired. While he was there, Ben found some additional problems - the wires from the weatherhead to panel were worn out from heat and weather, and the breakers were also old, worn and not up to code. I was so happy with the initial work that I went ahead immediately with the additional recommended work. Throughout, service was polite, punctual and timely and at a great price. I will definitely use Copper Electric again for any electrical needs I may have!

It went great! My husband and I are not easily impressed, but we were truly impressed by Ben's prompt service, knowledge and professionalism. He identified our problem post haste and fixed it. His price was fair and honest. He is a US navy veteran who owns his own business and so in addition to getting absolutely great service, you'll be supporting our military service people who integrate back into communities. We just happened upon Ben by chance on Angie's list and, boy, are we glad we did. Would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of electrical services.

It went well. Unfortunately, I bought a fan that was too large. The electrician advised me of the potential issues with installing a fan so close to the existing recessed lighting. He started the work while I purchased a smaller fan. He installed the smaller fan, wired a new switch, and replace two existing switches. Everything is working great.

Could never reach the provider. Called all the numbers on the Angie's List page as well as the one on the deal coupon and only got private voicemails. Calls were not returned. I don't think they have an actual office. Am increasingly frustrated with Angie's List Deals because providers sell these and then are too busy to service them. Seems like they want to take care of other customers first since they already have your money.

We apologize and your correct. Im the owner and technician and scheduler and anything else involved with Copper Creek Electric. It's unfortunate that I couldn't get to you in time or schedule you. When I was asked to run the big deal I had concerns with the overload of customers and me not able to service everyone in a timely manner. This is a huge problem for me and I'm extremely sorry. With the comment of getting paid and servicing other customers first - I can assure you that once Angie's list takes their cut and sends me 30% of what's left 2 weeks AFTER big deal ends I'm really not taking your money and running. Ive returned all refunds that have been paid to me.

Bought big deal for replacement of light fixtures. Set up and confirmed a date and time in writing through Angie's list messaging. I took the old light fixtures down in anticipation of someone showing up in order to save time. No one showed up, or called, or texted, or returned my calls and texts throughout that day to see if someone was or was not showing up. Spent half a day in a dark home waiting. Bad experience.

I purchased installation of 4 LED recessed lights and a dimmer from Copper Creek Electric on December 30, 2015. Initial communications with the service provider by email seemed straight forward and professional. My service appointment was set for 01/14 between 9-12 with a thirty minute prior call. At 1PM after not hearing from CCE I went online to check for messages. While there I looked at the reviews for this provider. Much to my dismay I found a very negative review posted one day earlier on 01/13. Same issue, contractor did not show up on time and failed to call. In that case the buyer was able to contact CCE and was told that he would have to reschedule. In my case CCE did not call or show up as promised. In early evening I called the contact number listed on Angie's list and left a message. Thus far I have not been contacted. I based my purchase on the many good reviews of this vendor. Seems like something has recently gone off the rails at Copper Creek Electric... I will update my review as needed. Update: On 01/15 I received a text message from CCE. They acknowledged making the 01/14 appointment and said that they had recorded a 01/21 appointment. I will update further after the work has been accomplished. Update 2: Second appointment scheduled 01/18, no-show, no-call, no-text....ridiculous waste of time. The whole BIG DEAL system of marketing on Angie's list invites trouble. When is it ever smart to pay in advance for services?... I've learned my lesson.

I purchased 2 hours of electrical work on an Angie's list 'deal.' Copper Creek sent me an Angie's list message after 1.5 hours into my appointment window they would not be able to make it because " unfortunately we have had several over booking issues due to so many purchasing the big deal. please let me know if you have any availability in the week of 1/25. I apologize for the inconvenience." I rely on Angie's list reviews so thought it was important to write this one. If they are going to sell an Angie's list 'deal' and take business away from other companies that are reliable, I feel that it is important people be warned before they purchase a deal from this company. Before writing this review, I responded that if we did need to reschedule that week (nearly two weeks away from the original appointment), I requested a shorter window than 3 hours since I already left work once and they did not show. The response: "I can't give you an smaller window than 3-6 pm. I'm trying my best to accommodate everyone and getting everyone satisfied but knowing you took off work isn't going to help your frustration so I have no problem supporting you on a full refund. thank you." Sorry but I don't think that is acceptable. I saw an earlier review that they did in fact accommodate that customer when an appointment was missed, so I guess if you purchase an Angie's list deal then you should expect service that is below their standard. If they had called me that morning to reschedule, rather than try to unsuccessfully 'fit me in' an overbooked day, I would be completely different and would be fine rescheduling for a different day, time or week. In my opinion this is a deserved poor review.

The electrician was excellent and resolved a potentially dangerous problem. The patio light was apparently not wired correctly and had been sloppily done, but it was still live. Based on some other issues we discovered with the house, we think that that this was probably a DIY job by the previous homeowner. Even the home inspector we hired to thoroughly inspect the house prior to purchasing it failed to note this potentially dangerous problem. The electrician disconnected the light and gave us an estimate to redo the light/fan when we were ready. We are thankful and should have provided this info the Angie's List much sooner.
Description of Work: Several small electrical repairs, as well as diagnosis and solution for a patio light/fan that did not only didn't work properly, but which also had the potential to cause a major catastrophe.

Bought the $99 deal for 2 hrs of electrical work. Scheduled for the following Tuesday between 3 & 6 pm. However, the technician called at 4:30 pm and asked to reschedule as he will not be able to make it. Called the office but no one was answering. Left a message. Called again next day, but no one answered. I was then able to get hold of the technician to reschedule later that day. He arrived and was able to replace both chandeliers in the house. Then he assisted me in diagnosing the issue with my outside plug that was not working. He spent almost 45 mins to get to be bottom of the issue. I appreciated his assistance on that. The work was of good quality. Will certainly use this company again.

I set the schedule and received confirmation they will arrive on Saturday between 9-12p with a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. I waited until 12:15p and called the company and received a voicemail. I left a message and called the office number as given on the voice message from the first number. I left a voicemail there as well. It is now the end of the day and I have yet to hear from anyone from the company. I understand if the time needs to change on the same day but a courtesy call was necessary. I would not recommend this company if they cannot keep track of their scheduling and not even return calls on a day they work. Even a quick call between jobs or to check their voicemail between jobs to see if any client has called. **UPDATE** Received a contact from the Owner and he came out a few days later to work around my schedule. He showed up on time and was able to answer all of my questions. An outlet was replaced outside and then he checked another outlet that was having an issue as well. All of this work was done really quickly and was a great service. It was sad that this was not the service that I received on the original date, but glad it was finally resolved.
Description of Work: Missed the original appointment and then came out a few days later to work around my schedule. Work was completed in a timely fashion.

He replaced light fixtures in my dining room, kitchen, hallway and office. It went great. I love the guy. I'm buying more things for him to put up for me. I sent him to my daughter's house too. I'm having him back out once I buy all my pieces to replace them in the other hallway, laundry room, the second bath and a ceiling fan in my living room. He'll put another light in my kitchen. He's fabulous. He's really good. He came back out to do work on some things he discovered and she paid for that. I won't use anybody else. I figure sending him to my daughter's house was another major sign that I trust him.

They gave me a great deal of two hours for $159 with a window of 9 am - 12 pm. Therefore, I pay and schedule the service and schedule the dentist at 3:00 pm thinking this will be great and I can get two things done while taking one day off from work. I wait until 10:08 am to be "that person" who calls and asks on the progress of their electrician arriving and Kelly tells me "he is one his way", so I think, "Great." At 11:00 am, I'm starting to think this isn't going to go well and start doing some other work. At 11:40 am, the electrician tells me he is "finishing up a project in Rockwall."???!!??? Why would Kelly tell me he is on his way when he is at another job in another city? Did they deliberately double-book me in the thought that if I stick around to wait they'll get two jobs in one day. Do they realize that I also charge by-the-hour? This is soooo frustrating. Why couldn't Kelly tell me they double-booked me and were training to fit me in? I could've said, no thanks and gone to work! Instead, they try to race to ARRIVE at 12:15 pm when my window was 9-12. This company does NOT value your time and will double book you. If you have ALL DAY to wait then give them a try. The next time I hire someone from Angie's list (or anywhere else), I'm going to ask when EXACTLY are you going to arrive. Frustrated. Corby Hankins

On the date in question the customer had a window of technician arriving between 9-12 am Monday morning. My first call ran a little long and I informed [Member Info Removed] of this situation around 11a.m. To which he had no response. I then informed [Member Info Removed] I was on my way from Rockwall to Turtle Creek and would probably be a few minutes late. As I was finding a parking spot on turtle creek at 12:03 pm he informed me that wasn't the arranged time. I offered my apologies and supported him on whatever decision he would decide. There was no double booked if your window is from 9-12pm and i would have showed up at 11:55am the call would have taken at least 3 hours to complete putting me at the residence at least til 3 pm. Canceling a call for 3 min late is your right and was wrong and for that I apologize. Good luck finding any service contractor who will give an exact time of arrival. Trust me I would love to be able to do this. Every call is different so we try and allow a appropriate safe window.
