I was very pleased and impressed with Kevin's friendliness and willingness to do my home remodel. He came out to my property in December 2014. He took thorough measurements and promised a quote within 2 weeks. So I waited. And waited. And waited. I followed up with him a few times and he made repeated promises that a "bid was on its way". He asked for another week. Then another week. Then another week. I put my other contractors on hold so I could receive Kevin's bid. I truly wanted to use Kevin's services. So I waited. Many emails and texts exchanged for the next many weeks. Finally, two months later.... I received a short, mobile email from Kevin while he was on the go. His bid was $80,000.... which was over $20,000 higher than other companies who were much more thorough. Since Kevin had taken TWO MONTHS to finally reply with a price.... his bid was woefully outdated. I had already spent the previous TWO MONTHS working on the project while I waited for Kevin. So, a lot of work had been done, and his outdated price quote included work that I had already completed. It was just very frustrating. He was friendly.... but sadly lax about his work. My project, literally, fell behind two months for major construction while I waited on Kevin and his simple estimate. Very disappointing. I regret the time I waited for Kevin. He was friendly and eager... but he just simply put me and dozens of other projects on the backburner for months. He told me he had a dozen other customers waiting months for him, but he "wanted to put me at the top of the list." Unfortunately, two months just for a bid is what he call "top of the list". I joined all the rest of the folks waiting on him. No thank you. Two months wasted. I went with another company who began work the following day.

We hired Kevin Pawlik to do a total makeover in our kitchen. We also had him build a custom built-in bookcase for our master bedroom. He removed all the popcorn texturing on the ceiling in the kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway and re-textured and painted the ceiling in all those rooms. He re-textured and painted the walls and put down tile flooring in all same rooms as well. Kevin took lots of detailed measurements in the kitchen and made sure he understood exactly what we wanted before he began work. All those measurements were given to his cabinet maker to begin work on our new cabinets. The quality and detail of the cabinets was exceptional! They were made so that they gently closed on their own once gently pushed. Lazy Susans were installed in the corner cabinets, making sure every space possible was utilized. Kevin referred us to an appliance vendor to pick out our new appliances and order them so they'd arrive by the time the cabinets were completed and installed. Then he started by completely gutting our existing kitchen, tore down a wall to expand the kitchen area, re-routed our plumbing so that our kitchen sink would be on the opposite side of the kitchen. He created a wall with door for our revamped utility room (which also required some plumbing and electrical work). He insulated the walls, which previously were not insulated well. We had canned lighting put in the ceiling of the kitchen. The cabinets came in. He stained them onsite to match the color we selected. Flooring was put in throughout the kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway. The cabinets were installed, appliances brought in and installed. All walls were stripped, re-textured, and painted, including new baseboards. He sent us to another vendor to select a back-splash for the kitchen. This was the only area that my husband and I could not agree. Kevin brought in a design consultant for us to use for "X" number of hours, at no charge to us. She brought us many samples of back-splashes from which to choose. My husband and I were still having trouble coming together on the back-splash. She finally brought a sample that was a home-run. Even though our selection was way over what was in our budget, that was the one we ended up selecting. We were living in the house at the time the work was being done. Kevin and his crew were very mindful of keeping the dust and noise to a minimum. They were always prompt and always available by phone. Kevin kept us up to speed on what he'd be doing over the next week or so, so we were prepared. Kevin is the most laid-back, congenial person with whom to work. I don't know if he's like this with all of his customers, but he just made us feel like we were family. Not only does he do excellent work, he is an outstanding gentleman. I am delighted that our paths crossed. We are planning on using his services for the bathrooms soon, too.
