The owner of the company (David Anderson) gets the job then under delivers or renegotiates after the contract is signed. He knew we had a tight timeline for closing on the home and getting this project finalized... Knowing this he promised his guys would work weekends and long days to ensure it happened. After we signed and gave the 50% deposit a month or so prior to closing I told David that I would let them know the final date that they could get in and start the job as soon as I knew it. When I called he told me that he could not have his crew out in a 48 hr turn around time and it was a Sunday.. This all falls back to the initial "verbal" agreement while finalizing the contract that his crew would do whatever it takes to meet the deadline. Additionally, when the David does get his crew out and is checking on the job he comes out and says he can do some minor repairs to the granite counter tops and it would cost $300 to $400 dollars as he wasn't worried about making money on this since he was already doing the flooring. Well, as soon as I call him back to get this scheduled after not hearing back for a week or so he immediately renegs on the verbal agreement and says he can't make any money at $300 to $400?? Really after we previously discussed this? Needless to say the granite did not get done. I was out of town once the flooring job was completed and got a call from Shonda demanding payment. I let her know that I would pay her as soon as I got home and was able to inspect the final product. After getting back and being mostly satisfied with the final job I called Shonda and paid the remaining balance over the phone via credit card. I did let her know of a few minor issues that needed to be address but agreed to hold off until business slowed for them to come back out. The issues included; filling one large hole in the wood that pulled when being hand scraped (it is right in a major walkway), replacing a door sweep on a door that was removed during installation, and cleaning up some of doors that the crew got stain from the wood on. This job is nearly a year old and David stopped responding to my calls or texts for him to finalize the last pending issues.. Once he got paid it was on to bigger and better!! I wish I knew how to contract the crew to assist as I am sure this would of been handled as overall the crew was respectful and did a nice job. Stay away if your value customer service and honesty!!

The quote was good! We have received quotes from other companies and have not yet made a decision. Jeff was knowledgeable and professional.
Description of Work: Jeff came out and took measurements for hand scraped hardwoods to match the existing hardwoods in our home. Anderson also quoted adding hardwoods to the stairs.

We were looking for a wood floor and had gone to all the big box stores and to Lumber Liquidiadator and really didn't find anything I loved. When we went to Anderson's they were very helpful. I took several samples home. When I decided on one they came out and measured. the floor I chose was made in the USA which was important to me. everywhere I looked they were all made in china. We ordered the flooring and they installed it two weeks later. They came when they told me they would be here. It took two and a half days. They were very neat and the floor's are beautiful. I would give them all ****** stars. I had the dinning room two halls and two bath rooms done. Every person that worked with us was very nice and helpful . They did everything we asked them to do. The next thing we are going to do is have new carpet put in and when we are ready we will go to Anderson 's and buy it from them.
Description of Work: They put down about 500 Sq. feet of engineered scraped wood flooring.

I needed a new kitchen floor, the linoleum floor that was in the kitchen was probably 20 years old or older. I got estimates from Empire, Flooring America and Andersons. I also talked to Lowes and Home Depot. I wanted the old floor pulled up but Empire and flooring America said it was unnecessary, Lowes and Home Depot refused to do it. Jeff from Anderson was the only one that was willing to do it. When I visited the store in Lake Dallas I was helped by Shonda and she helped me pick out the perfect tile for my kitchen. Then I met Katy and she picked out the perfect grout color. I know nothing about any of this, but thanks to Shonda and Katy, I have a GREAT looking floor. Next came installation and for that we turn to Victor. What a fantastic job Victor and his helper did! Just getting the old floor removed was a huge task but they moved all appliances, washer and dryer also in laundry room, took out the old floor and laid tile in 1 day. Came back next day to do grout work. They also cut and installed new baseboard wood. Andersons Flooring in Lake Dallas had the best price of anyone I talked to . I could not be happier with the work they performed!

It is a lengthy process to get David to follow through and come out and measure and then the delivery of the bid can take weeks of phone calls. They have so much business from 1 custom builder that they don't follow-up through with the average consumer. The contractors were not always timely because of other jobs they were required to be at for the owner but the contractors did great work. When the toilet needed to be reset and the electrical outlet needed to be fixed after tile work it took weeks of harassing phone calls from me to get done. Once the work was done and the money was paid in full David never finished through with promises and other work I wanted done. Call me crazy, but I still may use their services for work I need completed. They know the business and use quality contractors (which they claim are all employees). Amy, in the office is great but her hands are tied working for David.
Description of Work: I had Anderson's remove carpet and tile and replace with a total of 3000 sq ft of distressed hardwoods, carpet, & tile. In addition, tile backsplash replaced in kitchen. The shop is ran by owner, David Anderson and office helper, Amy. Once David comes out to measure he never looks at the job again.
