I bought the unit myself because they told me I might could get a better deal because the ones they sell are more expensive. I liked them. They were very good. I am going to be calling them again shortly to do some ductwork to help even out the heating and cooling balance in some of our rooms. They are just going to move a duct or combine some ducts.

great office person and great technician. fit me into schedule to be seen the same day i called during busy summer season. provided me with all of my options and estimates for each option. drew diagrams and explained how my system worked, making it easier to understand my options. did not feel like they were trying to sell me anything. didn't feel like i was being cheated or pressured into making a decision. technician even tolerated my overly friendly dog who does not understand personal space.

Unit is performing well. Brian was knowledgeable and professional.

Barretts has been out to my house on several occasions and have always been wonderful. This last visit I think I got a new tech. I told him there was a problem in the attic with the blower motor and instead of going into the attic he checked the level of the coolant and said that was the problem. I had to ask him to go into the attic and check the blower motor. After he did, he said that that was the actual problem and replaced the motor. I was disappointed I had to tell him twice. I'm not sure if he didn't want to listen to a woman or was lazy about doing the work. Either way makes me sad because I really like doing business with Barretts.

We got home from the lake at about 5pm and the house was 96 degrees inside. I called and Rex answered he said he had 2 other calls and he would head this way. He showed up about 11:30pm and had us up and running by 12:30am.

The AC went out in the evening and we called another after hours company (not Barrettts) to assess the situation. We were informed that the condensor coil had a hole and that repair was possible but not recommended. The primary reason for recommending replacement instead of repair was the cost of the outdated refrigerant which made up 80% of the $1100 repair estimate. After receiving a quote for repair and replacement ($7000) of the entire system we decided to get a second opinion. I found Barretts on Angies list, called them the next morning and met the technician at the house around noon. After walking the system wih the Barretts technician we both agreed that the system was still in good condition for the age and I was provided with 2 more quotes: Repair ($800) and Replace ($5500). Based on the better pricing and the perceived condition of the unit I decided on the repair. The technician did not have the refrigerant with him so we scheduled the repair for the next day. Similar to the previous day the technician arrived on time. The repair was made and the system refilled with refrigerant in under an hour. Overall the quality, service, punctuality, professionalism and price were all top notch. I will definitely use again.

There were two teams of workers, all very professional and knowledgeable about what the work they were performing. Very tidy and cleaned up after themselves, protecting the floors in the house and ensuring the attic was left tidy.

The job performed was exceptional. They replaced things that I didn't ask for to be replaced such as the drainage piping, thermostats and much more. The work done inside to seal the units was very solid. The entire crew was great and very professional. The work crew was very thorough in their cleanup and all had a positive attitude. We inherited Barrett's from the previous owner as they have replaced the furnaces prior to our owning the house. They provided service over the past 9 years for the 2 air conditioning units that were replaced. At no time in many years have I been displeased with their service and their product. They provide a superior product at a fair price and exceeded any expectations we had. A complete do-over of air conditioning in a two story home performed in a half day. Fantastic.

Went fine were satisfed. The contractors that did the install was a little messy but it had rained that day. Quality was good.

When I called the office, the lady that answered was so kind. A little later the owner called me letting me they were on the way. He was a nice down to earth guy. Good family man kind of guy. He could have easily charged me a lot of money but he didn't. His price was cheaper than all the other places I check. He saved me a lot of money and with his friendly personality just was icing on the cake. This company was a blessing to my family. Great work, a person I feel I can trust and just good people.. I'm happy, my husband happy and my family will be happy cause we don't have to sleep without the AC. I couldn't wait to tell my friends about him. I would gladly do work with this company again. My husband said he would get them to do regular maintenance. Total, he charged me $66.24 but said , just give me $60.00 . So so happy!!! The $60.00 was for everything. For him to check out the unit and the repairs. I don't know if this is his regular price, but this is the price he blessed our family with...

he arrived on time, did a great job quickly and saved us money

Our Ruud A/C was just over two years old and I was shocked to find that the blower had stopped working. First I called another A/C service company (AirCon). They came out and said that the parts were under warranty but it would still cost $325 plus the $65 trip charge. Also they said the parts were not readily available and would take a day or two to be shipped. This estimate seemed high plus the delay, so I decided to call a different A/C service company. I made an appointment for Barrett's A/C for the next day. Barrett's service tech was here on time. He said that the parts were under warranty and I would pay for the labor. They managed to secure the parts (control board and blower control module), and completed the job the same day. They charged $150 for the labor which was significantly less than the $325 quote from AirCon. I would highly recommend Barrett's for A/C service, particularly for Ruud A/C.

Barrett's sent a unit out with in 2 hours of our phone call for service. They determined that our A/C was not cooling due to a leak in the Chiller in the attic. We were given an option of repairing the unit or replacing the unit. We decided to replace. Barrett's sent an install team the next day and had the unit up and running by noon. They were very good about limiting their mess while bringing down the old chiller and installing the new one. They even vacuumed the carpet where they brought the unit in.

Brian was very professional and personable. I was pleased with the service.

I called Barrett's a/c on Monday, June 24th. I was told they were booked for Monday and would not be able to come until Tuesday. The receptionist could not give me a time when they would be here, but that the technician would call me before he came. I called Tuesday morning and was told they were short handed, due to an illness, and the tech would call before he came. At noon we had not heard from anyone, so we called and was told that he would be here within the next 2 hours. True to his word, Dennis showed up and had assessed the situation and was able to fix the unit within one hour. I had a coupon from Angie's list that the company was unaware of, but honored it anyways. I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them in the fall to replace my duct work.

They service and provide parts for our air conditioning needs. They are very responsive and will come out all hours of the day, night and weekends, if I have a severe problem. They are very fair, I have compared them with other people, sometimes they are higher, and sometimes they are lower. I cannot complain about any of it. Their people are all top-notch. The quality of work is top-notch. They are very honest. If they do not know they will tell me and they will find somebody who does. I would use them again.

We called them because the air-conditoner ran for a few hours before it would shut off. I first called the office yesterday 06/17/2013, they said they would be out today 06/18/2013. He called when he was on his way. He was very polite and could see the air-conditioner was cooling well. Went out-side checked the unit, washed the condenser and checked the freon level. It was just a little low and he added a small amount. With it so hot outside the unit will run longer. We know why our living room is harder to cool than the rest of the house. We have very little insulation in the attic in that area. But he showed and explained to us how the one vent in the living room needs to be replaced and said we could go to Lowe's to replace them. You can't adjust the vents, and one blows towards the return air-vent causing the cool air to go right up the vent. And if we could not find the vents to give them a call and he would take care of it. Hopefully Lowe's or Home Depot will have them. He saved us money on the vents. He also pointed out, our attic ladder has a gap and we are losing cool air through it. He was very helpful and friendly. And we will use them again and refer them to friends and family. He only charged us the service call, which was $55 with the coupon.

We have used this company for more than 15 years, we always recommend them to our clients that are in there service area.

Called and requested someone to come out and service my AC since summer is right around the corner and I had been noticing that it was not cooling like it should. Brian (the owner) said that he would be at my house the next morning and would give me a call before he came and (He did). He immediately got to work on my AC unit. He explained to my husband and I that there was a freon leak and insisted on showing my husband how he tested the unit as well as the results. We found that Brian was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He worked thoroughly and quickly. I will be calling him again for ANY repairs or maintenance that needs to be done at my home or business.

I like them a lot. They’re very honest and very courteous. I like the guy that comes out.

They came in and check everything in the furnace and made sure that everything was working properly.
