+ 1 moreSteve is very client-focused, and helped us to plan a much needed refurbishment of our entire downstairs flooring and walls, as well as creating and installing several shelving units and making needed repairs. Steve was able to help us obtain materials at excellent prices and is fanatical about quality. He usually only does one job at a time, and doesn't normally subcontract work, so you get his entire attention during the project. I would recommend him without hesitation.
Description of Work: Repainting several rooms, replacing tile floor in entryway, removal of carpet and vinyl flooring, consultation on selection of hardwood flooring, supervision of installation of hardwood flooring, installation of tile flooring in kitchen, construction and installation of shelving units in living room, drywall repair, installation of new lighting, miscellaneous repairs and upgrades. Cost does not include the cost of hardwood flooring, which we purchased from a vendor separately.

+ -1 moreOverall the project went great. At the beginning, we sat down and discussed the project. I then received a spreadsheet detailing the work and an estimate for each task to be done. In addition to the big remodeling job of the kitchen and guest bath, improvements to the home and property were made (front gate no longer drags, chain link fence straightened, kayak now hangs for easy loading, hard to find vent covers for both baths were located, etc.). This contractor can do it all -- carpentry, electrical, plumbing.
Description of Work: Repaired and painted outside of house, completely remodeled the kitchen and the guest bath, built new pump house and fixed/corrected small problems in and around the home and property.

+ -1 moreSteve and Skip were pleasant, hardworking, experienced workers. It only took them a few days from start to finish. The workmanship, recycling, and price were all great.
Description of Work: Steve Olson and his partner, Skip Bartek, torn down the old shed in our back yard and built a new one. The new shed is 10' x 20', built on-site. They reused as much of the old shed's materials as possible. It turned out great, with the look of an old fashioned tack barn, complete with dutch door that I bought at Habitat for Humanity and they squared it up and made it look awesome. The shed is a focal point in our back yard now, with the corrugated tin roof and matching tin trim on the bottom half of the exterior walls.
