The job was great but the downside was that they charged me over $700 for 7 drain covers. I had two drain covers that came off and due to the new regulations, I had to upgrade all the drain covers which resulted into all new ones. New ones were okay; however, after 16 months, one of my covers broke and it needs to be installed again. I have an 8 foot deep pool and you need scuba gear to install it again. (Which we did find the screws, which should be an easy job) When I called Texsun Pools to see if I could get them to re-attach the cover, they said it was 16 months ago and the diver charges $295 a trip. "I said $295 just to come out and she said "that is what we charged you last time"? I was shocked and didn't know how to respond. A $295 charge to install 7 drain covers is completely differently than for 1 and then she said "I don't know how it came off?" Really, if I ran a business stating this to a customer that just spent over $2,000 with them over the recent 6 months, I don't think I would say such a thing. Please, go somewhere else. I think Texsun Pools is getting too large for their own britches.

They OVER CHARGE for labor! I have a security system that snaps a picture each time someone walks by one of the cameras. The pool tech was at my house a total of 28 minutes and I was invoiced and charged for 50 minutes. I called the office and they indicated they were not going to change the invoice even after I explained that I could show them recorded evidence he was only there 28 minutes. It amounted to a 20% increase in my bill!

We hired Texsun pools to renovate our pool and it was a disaster. I agree with James on one thing, they all need to go into a new line of work because customer services is not even in their vocabulary. We paid them thousands of dollars, they did the work incorrectly, we ended up with the concrete all around out pool cracking, I called repeaded times for it to be fixed. I was always told, they would come out and figure out what to do. Meanwhile, year after year passed, I called, heard the same story, they were going to figure out what to do. The crack got bigger until it circled my whole pool. Bear in mind the pool had been in for thirty years, no cracks until they came. In the beginning I was told that a substance should have been put in between the flagstone and the concrete when they replaced the flagstone, because that did not happen, it started the cracking. Because it took years for someone to come and figure it out, it kept cracking. Finally last year I called and the department supervisor came out and gave me his work he would get the problem fixed and do so before this years pool season, probably in March. Well they just came yesterday, June 6 after repeated calls again to his office, and they filled the crack in so I know have a visible squiggly line around my pool. It is an eyesore. The supervisor showed up today because I called yesterday to complain about how it was being repaired. Said it was all he could do. I told him for the thousands I had spent, my pool area looked horrible and I wish I had never selected them. He tried to give some ridiculous excuse and I calmly asked him to leave. He then walked away saying something under his breath that it had been six years!!! Yes I had tried to get help all of that time, and no one came, cared or responded. I told him that as he walked away and he said there was no reason to shout. Oh my gosh, seriously. If you are thinking of using these guys to remodel your pool, do not. You may as well burn your money. Every time I have called them I have either been ignored or treated in a very rude manner. All the way across the board, makes you wonder what is going on at the top of this company that this is allowed.

I guess it's safe to say it didn't go well. Maybe it was bad communication or something else, but I got the impression they were overwhelmed with work and I slipped through the cracks. I never got a bill from them. But I did find another company Cypress Pool Care that came out ASAP and got it all fixed in two days. So that's who I'm using from now on.
