Review on target.I personally went to office of Kingwood Air Conditioning and met with Sylvia.I told her of problem with previous company.She set me up with her best technician for Thur.,5/18/19 between 1 and 3 p.m. Technician arrived at 1 p.m.He had to spend about 4 hours basically fixing all the problems from poor installation and service.Basically I would have gone through another evaporator coil and compressor on a three year old unit..Technician actually took me up in attic to show me problems and observed for about an hour what he was fixing.Not once was there any over selling or high pressure.Also recommended my first floor air conditioner Needs to be replaced.It is 151/2 years old.Had to put 2 pounds of refrigerant in.Technician believes should get through this summer.By the way this company has been reviewed on Angie's List and was on target in terms of previous reviews.

The guy Grey really knows his details on A/C units. He is knowledgeable and forthright with information. He will help you weigh the pros and cons without "selling" you on items you dont need. He also helped repair our broken A/C unit after another provider had broken it. I love the fact they put covers over their shoes when they walk in the house and are courteous of your home. I can not say enough good things about this provider! Highly recommend them.

While I ultimately couldn't afford them I did want to review them because out of the 8 estimates I received for a new HVAC system they were one of two contractors that did J-Calc on my home and the only one that did a complete manual one. Also they were the only ones that did a complete duct analysis and found some other problems that no one else did. Greg was very thorough in his explanations and drawings and a complete professional. This company and Greg did everything an HVAC contractor should do when evaluating a home for a new system and I only wish more contractors would follow their example. They give HVAC contractors a good name.

I am extremely expressed with the service I've been getting from Kingwood A/C over the last 8 years. They are courteous, punctual, professional and do excellent and thorough work. They do my yearly checks in addition to any emergency and non-emergency repairs. I've had anything from freon reflills, to capacitors failing in the heat of the hottests summers and they take care of us quickly and expertly, also had drain pans backing up. Today's service was just a regular 2x yearly check. Mr. Vinh (a vietnamese gentleman, whom I always ask for) is , as always, on time, has fantastic customer service skills, and ever so courteous. I appreciate his excellent technical knowledge and he is incredibly detailed oriented and thorough. Today, he finds a small freon leak, explains his findings, which unit is affected and corrective action he feels necessary. I trust him explicitly, he explains all options, cost points and consequence. He never trys to just sell, he is honestly concerned about fixing what needs to be fixed at a fair price and not doing things that don't need to be done. He knows my units inside and out, has notes on all visits and readings and problems, so he can quickly recognize any inconsistencies from the year before (he has lots of other customers so it would be hard to remember). He has all the equipment labled and identified by now, so at a glance you know what unit belongs to what floor, what drains go where - as I said very very impressive and detail oriented and this insures optimal customer service too. His time here today was 3 1/2 hrs, 3 -4hrs is the norm for the 2x yearly service. They are definitely not the cheapest service provider, but you certainly get what you pay for. I've tried another company once, one with a checkup special - they spend a fraction of the time and then try to sell you hundreds of dollars worth of stuff you don't need, it was a wake-upcall for me, I could never trust someone like that. So keep up the fantastic work, Kingwood A/C and Mr. Vinh!!! I certainly do appreciate it!

It was an excellent experience overall. I have used them for quite some time and would continue to use them. I don't know why anybody here would use anybody other than Kingwood AC and Heating. They are very professional. They are people from Kingwood, that live in Kingwood that have been around for a long time and they are very good at what they do. Normally, the cost to replace ductwork would be around $3000 but all they charged me on that was for the materials.

Very well. They identified the problem capacitor and replaced it. I asked them to repair the drainage pipes and they readily agreed to do it.

I have had a service contract with Kingwood AC for several years. They have installed both furnaces and both AC units, and I've stuck with them for service. The checkups have to be scheduled well in advance, usually at least two weeks, but the service techs arrive on time, don't make a mess, and seem to be thorough. This last call a couple of weeks ago was the same. The tech arrived on time and spent a long time checking things. Before I started using KW AC, I had a couple of furnace checks that lasted maybe 10-15 minutes for both furnaces. KW check the motors, starting capacitors, gas valves, pressure switches, all of the operational and safety components. He explained a couple of things he recommended tending to, but no real pressure or scare tactics. I always feel like I'm valued as a customer and treated fairly and honestly. Will probably have a couple of hundred dollars of work done to replace a couple of components shortly after the holidays.

They were on time and the work went well! We were told by another company that we were needing to replace it, but the worker assured us this was not the case. He ended up servicing it, and we haven't had any issues since.

My air filters were clogged after one month. They suggested we talk to the air quality expert. He came out and said we that not only did we need a brand new system for $11,000 (mine was less than 4 years old), but we had a lot of mold. I got a second opinion and they found NO MOLD. My dryer exhaust motor was broke which cause all the filters to fill up. It turns out that the Air Quality Expert was their salesperson. Using mold as a scare tactic to sell a new system that we didn't need was outrageous.

They re-filed my A/C unit with freon and gave me some great advice on what to do.

They were on time, and I was happy with his work, and I was happy with the fact that it didn't cost me anything. He came prepared and ready to work and got the job done in no time.

I had a year-to-year service contract with Kingwood. In this instance, I was concerned about the "guess" the tech made on the part and researched it after paying for the job. I was surprised I could get the part for less than $90 over the internet. When I attempted to complain to the old lady at Kingwood AC, she referred me to her old man, who apparently must be the pants of the business. When I questioned the charges, he was rude and short. I filed report with BBB and got no-where. The old lady at Kingwood AC sent me a rude letter questioning my integrity for questioning their prices (whoa----who's the customer here?). BBB administratively closed case, so I suggest don't bother with them. I am now on service contract with Cruz Air in Humble and paying significantly less, and find them more courteous and professional, and more FAIR in their prices. If you are using Kingwood heating and AC, I assure you that you are paying TOO MUCH!!!

I believe they do a fair job. They had previously installed the system. They offer two sets of inspections for $249 per year. I think this is a good deal. I like to know in advance if there is a problem so I think it is well worth it.
