Description of Work: They responded quickly to my request for a bid to build 2 cabinets. They were very professional, had a clear view of what the project entailed, and they promised a bid within a few days. I had to ask twice to get the bid. His bid was considerably higher than all the other bids had been, so not affordable.

Description of Work: Remodeled a 1975 bedroom. They sanded the textured ceiling and made it smooth, created a 12"X12" box above the headboard with recessed lighting and hanging lights above the night stands with dual controls right next to the night stands. They also installed a fan and recessed lights offset from each blade. John also pointed out issues like the AC vents not being sealed and creating dust around the vents and also fixed it.

+ 9 moreI've had many handy-men, fix-it guys come over 15 years of home ownership and have never really found anyone that hit my checklist for what I wanted in a reliable, smart, experienced handyman that shows pride in his work....until I found this guy. He worked in our home for over a month on different projects and listened to my suggestions on how I wanted designs to look and he also would explain if something that I wanted probably wouldn't work. He was on time almost every time and if not exactly on time, he always would call or text me to tell me. He cleaned up after himself well. He was meticulous and thorough and hard-working.
Description of Work: John did many things at our home including: re-framing and putting in a new interior door and painting frame, removing outlets in wood flooring and adding wood there, repairing sheetrock all throughout house, installing shelves and curtain rods, repairing granite of kitchen counter, fixing furniture, cleaning out french drains, repairing sprinkler system, tearing out and hauling away a big wood deck, re-grouting bathroom, removing ceramic tiles (in sunroom and master bathroom damaged from foundation repairs) and replacing with new designs, and tearing out old shower and replacing with new bathtub and faucet, new framework, and new tile with shelves and niche.

+ 13 moreHe previously did excellent remodelling/painting work for us in Jamaica Beach, Galveston so we contacted him for an estimate and projection of duration for these apartment units. He came in under budget and all work was completed in a timely fashion. He is a professional with great attention to detail and had innovative ideas for improvement above & beyond our requests. We were particularly pleased when. on his own, he chose to rearrange the placement of the toilet to provide easier access to it, with more legroom. He acted as the head contractor, and at our request, (in order to expedite the job), he subcontracted certain parts of the job, and was diligent in finding the right people at an economical price for us He is a perfectionist and the quality of his work was excellent. .
Description of Work: Completely gutted and remodeled 2 apartment units in Galveston, TX, He also previously did similar work for us in Jamaica Beach, Galveston.
