The customer service is great. They called me the day before to confirm the appointment. He arrived on time and finished in less than two hours on all projects. I am very pleased with his work. He was friendly and approachable. I was comfortable with him in my house.

Organizationally and administratively, we would give Handyman Matters a "C +". Their craftsman, Bud, however, was outstanding and we would assign him an "A:" He was excellent in everything he did for us. We would hire him again in a heartbeat. We feel as if we got real value from Bud.

UTTERLY TERRIBLE! I called them to schedule work in the past, they just didn't show up. Tried again last week, scheduled time for this morning and after a half an hour of them being late I called. The lady that answers the phone seemed so confused and just out of it. They have yet to return my call to explain and my handyman is 4.5 hours late. Some guy from Handyman Matters, "JASON" called me to ask me for my name and then hung up on me. I think they hire a bunch of druggie felons that just don't work. Save yourself the aggravation and call someone else. They are WEIRD!

I've used this company before with good results. This was not the case this time. The service was terrible. The contractor was 3 hours late for the appt, spent an hour at Lowes getting supplies, charged $240 for the job and was told they could not warranty the work. The mold returned the very next day. After reading the label on the Kilz2 product that they applied to my bathroom wall it clearly stated that the mold needed to be removed before applying this product. I asked the contractor at least twice if this product would kill the mold and was told "yes" both times. I made a trip to Lowes myself the next day and was advised what to do to rid the mold. i will redo the work myself and use a different company if the problem persists. I understand that leak detection in not an exact science, but you expect a little bit more from skilled technician that you are paying $75 an hour.

The cabinet drawer runner was in a very difficult place to get to & fix. Scott had a solution in no time & now it works beautifully. The bedroom door he fixed wouldn't stay shut. Scott moved the strike plate & now it cannot be pushed open. Scott fixed my kitchen cabinet door that my husband could not get to hang straight. Scott had the tools & the knowledge to fix all of my problems. I will definitely use Handyman Matters again!

V ery good all considered. The tenant had moved in. The drumshades were a bit of a problem for me but the serviceman arrived promptly and would have installed the microwavehood but could not because of the time constraints. I installed that myself and it was not very nice. I will be calling this company again now that I have a flush mounted ceiling fan and to remove the one that had a rod which made the overall fan look unsightly compared to the one installed in the kitchen. Also he did some carpentry work to enable my new stove to be slipped between the cabinets. These were my new Thomasville cabinets, so seeing them being cut at all I was not happy and the results worked let's say luckily the stove would hide it. He also help to work out how to assemble the microwavehood before he had to leave on his scheduled appointment.

They were professional. They were clean and neat. They were not real skilled in assembling the grill. It took longer then I thought it would. They did clean the mess up. It took 2 people four hours to do the assembling which I felt was to long.

I started at 8am to meet the gentlemen out there, we walked through what needed to be done. He then told me it would take approximately 3 hours and would call me when he was finishing up. I never heard from him all morning, so I finally called around noon. I showed up around 1pm to find that most of what I had asked to be done had not actually been started. So at this point I am not happy, I realize I am getting ripped off. I never received an estimate, an invoice, etc on site. It was not until about 2 weeks later I received an invoice for over $1000. I was shocked to say the least. This was clearly a price gouge if I had ever seen one. I was charged for 2 workers at a total of around 13 hours. I was never told it would take so long or that I would be paying for 2 workers. So basically the owner attempted to satisfy me by knocking 25% off. I paid over twice what any other handyman had bid for the work. I would not use them again.

First appointment was to get an estimate and materials list so I could perform the shopping for the materials instead of paying for time and mark-up on materials. Second appointment was for the work to get done. Very pleased with the quality of the work. Also, all construction debris was removed from the premises. Surprisingly, surplus materials that were unused were left (so I can return to home improvement store for refund). A little disappointed in the punctuality (35 minutes late on first appointment with no communication, 16 minutes late on second appointment), but overall very professional. Truly appreciated the detailed materials list developed on the first visit, and had no problems finding the items, some of which I (not being a roofing expert) was not familiar with ("D" style drip edge flashing, for example). I'd recommend HMN.

I would actually grade the quality of painting a F. The one thing that really disturbed me was that I was paying $55 an hour for this service, and for that I expected superb work. The person who did the painting wasn't even a painter. His profession was installing cable. I could have done a better job than this man did and he lied about his time. He took an hour lunch break and didn't tell that to the company. When I challenged it, the office did take my word for it and didn't charge me. It was a 9 x 10 foot room that was already cleared out and it took him 3 hours to prep. They did have a couple of really good helpers. One was kind of inexperienced but very eager and did his best. I think I would have saved some money if he had more experience. The door latch was installed a little too high so the door wouldn't fully close. I called them to get it fixed and they were out that week to re-do it. That was a good thing and a positive experience.

We called and someone was out to do the work within an hour or so. He came, did the job quickly, efficiently and cleanup afterward.

The service fee is $35 and the hourly minimum is $65. However, they came within ten minutes of the call, were quick and finished in 10 minutes! My relief and the quickness of the response made the amount worth it.

He was not only on time, but he was early. He wanted to see what equipment he would need and he went to get it. He was very good. He did what he was asked and he did it well and in a timely fashion. I was very satisfied with his level of service.

I thought this was an excellent service for one reason because of the discount that is offered for their services. I was also informed that they provide 1,162 home repairs which proved to me that they are well rounded in this industry. The project was very affordable and the owner is very, very pleasant.

He did a very good job, and he cleaned up very well. He was a real craftsman.

Slow. The first man did not finish the job.

I had to put an amount in because the e-mail would not go without it. The amount paid for nothing is nothing.

Lee was wonderful!! He was very polite and made suggestions on how to fix things differently so as to save me money. He cleaned up after himself (which was great) and probably would have stayed until midnight doing things I wanted done if I had asked.

Handyman Matters answered my call promptly and followed up readily with an estimate and repair. Their prices were quite reasonable. They told me how they would patch the ceiling and paint it to repair the water damage. The repair job was scheduled as soon as a day was agreed on, and the repairmen were on time. They thought it would take four hours to do the job, but they finished in two and half hours. They came back the next day to paint it, did an excellent job, cleaned up all the mess and left the house in great shape.
