About us

We are a full service landscape and architectural lighting company specializing in low voltage LED lighting. We are a small company of 7 employees which does not use sub contractors unless we are installing a high voltage system which is very rare. We are not required to be licensed but we do have four technicians who are certified by the Association of Outdoor Lighting professionals. We are the only outdoor lighting company in the country with for AOLP certified technicians. We give a free one hour consultation on the first visit and then charge a design fee which is then applied to the overall cost of the project. Since we are primarily a lighting design company we can not give free lighting design services and a proper proposal can not be created without a quality lighting design. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. We service all major brands of professional outdoor lighting and guarantee our work. Our lighting systems are backed by our exclusive three year maintenance plan which includes all light bulbs. We offer Angie’s list clients a 10% discount on service and a $200.00 discount on a design/installation of a professional lighting system of at least 10 fixtures. NightScenes Landscape Lighting Professionals is a member of the Association of outdoor Lighting Professionals, American Lighting Association, Kingsland and Marble Falls Chambers of Commerce, Horseshoe Bay Business Alliance, and International Dark Sky Association. Our president and lead designer also serves as a director for the AOLP.

The entire experience with Paul and Paul Jr was fantastic. From the consultation to the quote to the execution, everything went great. They were always on-time, met their commitments, and the end product looks wonderful. Very pleased with the experience and will use them again when we expand our lighting in the future.

Description of Work: As people, I like the guys who run Nightscenes, but honestly, we have had nothing but trouble with our lights and after several years still have no resolution. We have only had them a few years and there is ALWAYS something wrong. Either a big bank of lights will just be out completely, the controller won't work, or in the case we're experiencing now, they're just on 24/7 wasting energy and burning out. At first they came out and tried to resolve the issues, but never seemed to really resolve them as we are still having the same problems. In the last few months, I have contacted them several times and they haven't been very responsive. I finally had a second opinion to try to get a resolution and was told that the lights aren't wired with outdoor-grade hardware and I'm guessing aren't configured correctly. Either way, for the expense it has been a real shame that we haven't been able to enjoy the lights in a more trouble-free manner since they're pretty awesome when they actually work.

I am sorry to see this review as we have always tried our best to please all of our clients. This residence is very old (probably built in the 1960s or early 70s) with several electrical issues with a mixture of 240 and 480 three phase electrical service. The electrical system in this home is not up to current electrical standards. We have explained many times how the electrical situation has caused problems in the automation controls of the low voltage lighting system. These are issues beyond our control since our lighting is using secondary power, using 12 volt transformers that are plugged into their home's electrical system. We have responded on every occasion with on site visits to troubleshoot and reset the control system due to power issues in the home. There was also a case of a lightning strike that burned up a transformer and some of the control devices. We replaced those items with no charge for the labor, only the material costs. Scheduling has sometimes been an issue since this is not the primary residence. When we leave the property, the system is working at 100% every time. There were two occasions of malfunctioning lighting products that were taken care of at no charge, under warranty. All of our 12 volt lighting systems are installed according to the National Electrical Code and we only use outdoor rated products. If there is something other than those materials installed on the low voltage side of the lighting system they were not installed by NightScenes. We don't do any work on the home's electrical system so if there are products used outdoors that are not outdoor rated they were not installed by us. NightScenes Landscape Lighting Professionals is the only outdoor lighting company that I'm aware of that gives a full three year service agreement on all of our new lighting systems. We cover all materials and labor against any defect or workmanship. During those three years we only charge for damage due to issues beyond our control and even then we normally only charge for materials if they are not covered under warranty. We have not heard of any issues with this system for several months so we assumed all is well. We would be more than willing to come out and take care of any issues that we can, as we have always done. Unfortunately when working with older properties that have had a lot of work done over the years, there are many issues to try to overcome. We always do anything we can to insure our clients satisfaction and welcome an opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your NightScenes Landscape Lighting system. Great experience all around - positive meeting with Paul Gosselin to discuss the job, professional installation, and even a follow up visit from the crew to be sure that all of the lights were correctly adjusted. We are thrilled with the lighting and Paul's design encompassing the practical need to light the walkway with an artistic design.
Description of Work: Removed old walkway lighting and installed LED down light fixtures in an oak tree that stands next to the walkway.

Years back had local franchise out fo Dallas to put in system. They went our of business. Luckily found their website .. they fixed issues with old lighting that had not been properly installed with water staying in wells and improper placement of wires where could be exposed or not repaird. To cut down on costs and issues with maintenance, they had special to replace the bulbs with longer lasting and more cost efficient LED actually brighter and installed light sensor so not have to keep changing times. Despite my hours as a professinal, they came out to discuss after hours/weekends and easy to work with over phone/net. Luckily all work outside so didnt have to be present and when came home could not tell had been there except that the lights now worked and looked great! in for some time and really maintenance free.

Description of Work: They provided a detailed bid showing pictures and descriptions of each light and fixture to be used with cost. Sat down personally and went over the bid explaining every detail and cost involved. Loved the look so much that we added more lights and then more at another time. Guarantee is excellent. They are very responsive to calls and address any concern immediately. Two other neighbors used them and that is how I got their name for contact. My neighbors are very pleased with the service as well. Have recommended them to other friends as well and they have had lights installed. Can't say enough good things about this owner operated company. Feel so blessed that there are actually still good hearted, honest and hard-working people out there today, because you run into more of them that are not.

As above, great response time, and when was a problem with wasp nest, did not even charge.
Description of Work: They originally installed my landscaping lights about 4 years ago and did exactly as promised on price and completion. Since then, what few service calls have been required, they have responded immediately and when charges did apply, were reasonable. This company is really good and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very professional, responsive, flexible and polite. When they discovered a problem with my electrical wiring, they corrected it for me. Good people. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Great experience! They installed moon lights in the trees around my home and did a great job. It was expensive - but that's because this sort of thing is expensive; not because they charged inflated prices.
