+ -1 moreI called Specialty Restoration twice over a week span to schedule a quote and each time the receptionist has taken my contact info, told me an inspector would call back, but still no phone call back. If their responsiveness is any indication of the actual work they do, I'm not interested in working with a company like this.
Description of Work: After fixing a leak in the home we just moved into, my insurance company referred me to Specialty Restoration as one of two preferred contractors in the Austin area to repair the water damage. It looks like it was a slow leak that caused framing to rot and mold on the drywall.

During a telephone miscommunication with one of the employees, the situation quickly evavated and I recieved a call from the vice president of the company. They came to my home and surveyed the damage and had it fixed in record time! Aawesome customer service and expereinced professionals. I would definetly recommend this company to anyone!
Description of Work: Surveyed and replaced broken shingles on my roof following a wind storm.

+ -1 moreWe had wind damage on our home and one of our out-buildings. Specialty Restoration of Texas provided a clear, detailed cost estimate. Their crew completed the work in a timely manner. All of the staff was very friendly and professional... the estimator, office staff and the work crew... The crew was VERY professional and always kept the work site clean and neat. They were very detail-oriented to ensure the roof was installed expertly. They did an amazing job! The roof looks great! During the final site cleanup the crew was very diligent to ensure they picked up all the waste material and roofing nails. Overall this was a very pleasant and satisfying experience...
Description of Work: On home, breezeway and garage: Removed existing comp. shingle roof and felt. Removed 3 wind turbine vents. Installed new felt and laminated, dimensional shingles. Installed ridge vents on all ridges. On out-building: Removed existing comp. shingle roof and felt. Installed new felt and laminated, dimensional shingles. Installed ridge vents.

+ -1 moreThe first thing they did was to come out and secure the door that night. The door frame was completely ruined and had to be removed and replaced which ended up being an all day job instead of a morning one. They had to remove the old door and frame and replace it, redo the tile at the entry, redo the concrete threshold (it was a JOB!) It required retexturing the wall, new trim and all had to be repainted which required moving my washer and dryer an hooking them back up. Plus a new lock had to be installed and painting the doors that had fingerprint smudge on them. And....they couldn't let the dogs out and had to let the neighbor in! Mark and the contractors went shopping with me to find what needed to be replaced.
Description of Work: I had a burglary back in early February. Two calls, my insurance company and Specialty Restoration and I was secure for the night. Mark, the foreman that worked with me is such a nice man. I was so vulnerable and dependent on their immediate help from start to finish. Specialty Restoration made my bad circumstance a bearable one. The insurance company covered all the expenses except for my deductible. However, Mark helped me make decisions I will live with for awhile and I'm happy with his ideas. The work goes on for a bit so it's important to me to have someone who communicates well and listens to my concerns. I feel I had this during the work period. After the work was completed, a few things came up and the office was great to resolve them. Thank you Specialty Restoration for your service!
