It went great. This was not a cookie-cutter job. It required detective work, selective demolition, knowledge of outdated systems and new codes, and hard work. My technician, David, was excited to do the work and worked diligently to complete it. He was able to overcome several obstacles that he encountered along the way. It is difficult to remove knob and tube wiring without some plaster removal, but David kept it at a minimum and he even ordered a special drill set-up to accomplish the task. It is hard to find contractors who are willing to work on old homes (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Exterior Maintenance etc.), but it appears that I have found a keeper when it comes to future electrical projects.

The technician called to make sure we were home. He came earlier than expected which suited us just fine. He explained the problem to my husband and I. The manner in which the wires were connected to the switches, caused the switch to fail after many years of use. The technician asked if we had any other problems with our switches. I had heard a "fizzle" when using the master bedroom closet switch this morning. The switch had not failed, but he rewired it according to current code. I felt he charged me about the price (or less) of what I would have paid for the switches at a hardware store.

we were moving and need to have one of the fans at the old house replaced. They came out early at 7:30 am so that they would arrive and complete all the work before the packers arrived. Hired this company after I hired a contractor to install ceiling fans in my house and improperly installed them twice. Turned out the ceiling fan was not working because the previous contractor burned the motor out by wiring the fan wrong. Then had the technician look at GFCI outlets and a dimmer switch that weren't working anymore which he fixed the wiring on. Very prompt and professional. Will use them again.
