It's hard to find contractors that take the time to understand your need and treat you with respect. I called Mr. Powers on behalf of a neighbor who's property was damaged during a storm. He took my call in the evening and repaired the damage the next morning. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. His price was competitive and he made time for this, because of impending weather, even though he was only coming for a quick look as he was headed to another job. Like another reviewer mentioned this job was small, but I wholeheartedly recommend Power Home Improvement for bigger jobs. I am keeping his number handy for upcoming work I need done because his service was that exceptional.

Mr Powers was a friendly professional from beginning to end. I called asking for help with a simple task (turning up the heat on an electric water heater with no buttons or knobs), however I felt confident he could have handled many more complicated tasks if I ever needed so in the future (which I will!). Even though the task was small, he didn't act like he was "above" it; he treated it like any other job... So don't hesitate to contact him for smaller jobs, too, because you're sure to want to use him for bigger jobs later! He was courteous, on-time/prompt, his prices are fair, the work is good, he got the job done quickly and he emailed the invoice in a timely manner. I also called him again about another matter and he returned my call promptly. One of the neatest things about Mr Powers is that he does NOT have a bad, impatient, or condescending attitude like some other contractors and handymen I've called in the past, who don't sound at all grateful for the patronage and may make you feel stupid for asking certain questions. Mr Powers truly treats you like a customer that he intends to keep FOR LIFE, like an old friend. You will love working with him.

I don't remember how much they charged us. My husband dealt with that, but I know it seemed very reasonable to us compared to some of the other estimates that we got. They definitely turned up when they said they were going to.

He was absolutely top notch. He was quick, efficient, clean and did a wonderful job. He did all the prep work and replaced everything just the way it was.

I called Power Home Improvement to work on some chores around the house that I could never seem to get done. Donald came out looked at each thing I wanted fixed and then gave me an estimate on how much it would cost. We made arrangements for him to come back and complete the work on two separate occasions. He works with his son. They did a great job. Donald called and kept me informed every step of the way. If he had a question he checked with me before proceeding. He called me when he was going to be a little late (which I found refreshing - most contractors I have worked with never call you to tell you they won't be there when they told you they would). He did a great job and I am very happy with the results. I will keep his number close by to use again in the near future.

Powers repaired a large hole in the ceiling of my pantry and two small holes in the garage where I put my foot through while walking in the attic. He had to replace sheet rock, tape and float the cracks and spray on texture. He did an excellent job, returning three times to get the mortar just right before putting on the finising touches, and went to great lengths to put up protective barriers so nothing else would get texture on it. He was very personable, punctual and professional. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone needing sheet rock work or general home repair.

Mr. Power was very professional and polite. Before the work got started, he met with me at Home Depot to ensure I was buying the proper materials.

I called Mr. Powers out a little over a week ago with the sole purpose of getting my roof, ad ceiling in my garage fixed. When Mr. Powers arrived he took a look at my roof and mentioned that I had a bunch of shingles missing that he could replace for me. He even mentioned that he thought he had some shingles that would match already at his house that he could use. From there I began to talk about a tree that I needed gone, and to my surprise Mr. Powers said that he could take care of that too. I received a call within 2 hours of Mr. Powers leaving my house with a quote, and a time frame that I was pleased with. He was friendly, professional, prompt, reasonably priced, and did a fantastic job. I will contact Mr. Powers for all of my home improvement needs in the future. Love his work, and feel completely comfortable with him around my family.

Power Home Improvement said it would take 2 weeks because it was a 1 man operation and then he brought his son with him and it still took 2 weeks. The last few days they seemed rushed and their quality of work went down.

Donald gave us an estimate on touching up paint on molding throughout our house, drywall repair and restaining exterior doors. His price was fair, his work very good. He is prompt, in that he arrives when he says he will and completes the work in the time frame he agreed upon. He cleaned up after himself. We never had to ask him to redo anything. If he wasn't satisfied with how a project turned out, he redid it himself. I would recommend Donald to anyone in need of a painter and will use his services again in the future.

I called Mr. Power and he was friendly and professional over the phone. He came to my home at a time that was convenient for me to offer an estimate. He did not haggle over prices. I got a quote from another company that tried to charge me $2500 for the work Mr. Powers did, and eventually tried to compete with his price ($550). Mr. Power began promptly at 8 am each morning he worked through the day until approximately 4:30 pm. He rolled the walls rather than spraying even though the room is empty so that the paint smell would not permeate the house (we have an infant). Mr. Powers made suggestions on extra areas to paint that were not in the original quote that did raise the price, (from $550 to $750) however he did consult with me before doing anything and I still feel his price was very competitive. Mr. Powers began one week after I consulted with him and was very considerate of time time constraints (we were trying to get our house in it's best condition for a large party). He took about 2.5 days to start and complete the job. I feel that he accurately represented his work (price, how long it would take, when he could begin) during our initial consultation.

We have used random contractors in the past and have found you get what you pay for. Fortunately, we found his estimates to be extremely competitive for the quality of work he does. Not the typical fly by night we get in the Killeen area. He was friendly, professional, accomodating and trustworthy.
