They were prompt and on time. The price was very reasonable and they did excellent work. I was very satisfied and I would definitely use them again.

Charlie Carr is one of the best in town. He is a certified arborist. He's the only one that I would trust to come and do anything that I needed to be done. He's awesome.

We had been discouraged at the non-responsive, or slow responses, from other tree/landscaping companies we had called. Some would not even come if they thought our costs would be under $3000. We had lived a short time in Kerrville prior to moving to Boerne, and I recalled passing Texas Tree Services in Kerrville. I was concerned that we lived 30 miles away, but after our lack of responses, we called them. They were here the next day and gave us an estimate, explained their services, what to expect, and even had a senior discount. Since we are newly retired, that was a very nice surprise and not one we had expected. We also had not expected an added expense for tree services when we had bought our home. The Senior Discount is very thoughtful. We also found at the end, that there had been no hidden costs as I had been surprised to see on other reviews. The final price was what we had been quoted initially. After setting a time and date for the service which would be the next day (how surprised we were!), the supervisor and crew arrived exactly on time. The Supervisor, Randy, talked to us as the crew set-up. There was a cherry-picker and a mulcher. The professionalism of the Crew actually caught our attention; professional work method and professional manners. We were surprised and impressed also to watch them clean up as they went. Amos picked up the fallen limbs as they were cut down by Tino ; he then carried them to the mulcher in the front where Mike ground them up. They worked constantly as an effective Team. We never cringed or worried as they got to within a foot of our new home or carried away the limbs over our new yard. I was also very surprised to see Mike even raking the leaves, twigs, etc, that had fallen down into the yard. They worked constantly; took no breaks except for a very short lunch. We moved here from the DC area and have learned Life moves more casually here for so many things we have needed to get done. We heard several times 'we're on our way'..only to have the service person show up 3 days later. We are learning to smile and 'slow down' as best we can. So, to have the Texas Tree Service of Kerrville show up on time, have a great work ethic, and watch a professional Crew..is something that I felt had to be shared with others who may be like we were...looking for good Service and not finding it where we looked. Angie's List is new to us. We have never needed it before. But here in a new State and a new Town and not knowing anyone, it is a great place to begin! I would have felt much better had I seen this review when we first looked on Angie's List. I hope it helps others who might be looking for Tree Service like we were.

I will not hire them again. They are very over priced and poor quality of work. They had a bad attitude. Their professionalism was poor and we did not know what they were doing. I also had argument with them about the price. Their chain saw was not working. I was paying them by the day and it was like I’m paying them to repair their saws. This was five years ago. They charged me $ 10000 but I didn’t feel they have done $10000 worth of work. They are really not good. The only plus about them are they did clean up after they finished and did not leave any debris.

The orginal estimate was $6500.00 for the initial dead tree removal. My husband contract for an additional $19,000.00 for more dead tree removal and limb trim with some brush clearance. At no time were we aware of all the extra expenses. We truly thought that the above prices were for the whole job. However, they charged an additional $5,976.00 for stump grinding, $12,600.00 for debris removal, $700.00 for chipper loads, an extra $3,000 for something, as well as an extra $95.00 on the second estimate. They did much more work than I had wanted as well. I was out of town, my husband at work, and when I returned my entire privacy screen from the highway had been removed....it will never grow back in my lifetime! Their reasoning was that my husband would need to get his tractor through the trees to mow! Mow What! We are completely exposed now and after using money in our IRA (that we will be taxed on) we are considering selling our home! If you use these guys make sure to ask hundreds of questions and get it all in writing....and never not be there when they are on your property.
