I have been using Underwood's for many years. I cannot thank him enough for helping me out anytime I need it. Always prompt, fair, and most importantly, trustworthy. Hard to find now days.

I have used Lee Underwood since 2005. He has responded quickly and in a reasonable time. I recently had an issue with my thermostat Lee came out and replaced some batteries , I was so embarrassed . He didn't charge me for his valuable time now thats what I call service.

I HIGHLY recommend Lee Underwood's Heating and A/C. I had my brother's heat worked on and I am from San Antonio. I was recommended to Mr. Underwood through a friend who lives in Kerrville. Mr. Underwood was amazing and his office staff were awesome. They were MORE than fair, generous, courteous and we had same day service! Mr. Underwood was straight forward and very, very honest! We were so grateful to his service and will be using him again for all our heating and ac needs! Homegrown company equals honesty, caring and quality! If I would have had this work done in SA it would have cost me twice as much!

Took a while do to manufacturer not wanting to honor a part made by their own sub-contractor. (several weeks IIRC) Lee personally went to bat for my elderly mother to get a major repair done under warranty. He had to have a personal meeting with the manufacturer representative to get this straightened out. AND while all that was going on, Lee and his wife made a service call on a Saturday to keep mom's air conditioner limping alone. Thanks to Lee's efforts and record keeping (A/C installed 8 years ago but still under extended warranty) my mother's A/C was repaired under warranty. THANK YOU Mr. Underwood for your efforts in getting this done, AND keeping my mother cool in the process!!!

Mr. Underwood was delayed, as the job he was working on prior to our appt ran into some problems. So, late arrival, but very pleased with the outcome. My husband went with him to check the a/c. He showed him how to clean the a/c coils and answered all the questions. We would definitely use Lee Underwood in the future. Professional and very knowledgeable.

It turns out when we had our roof put on that an extension was put on our furnace exhaust that was not supposed to be put on. It needed the original height put back on or the furnace worn't work.. That was bad as it made the furnace not operate at all. We had a different provider out several times - charged us each time and they wanted to put over $600.00 worth of parts on and then they said that was no promise that it would work. If it didn't we were out over $600.00. They also suggested we put in a new furnace. We did not do anything trying to decide what to do when a friend from Church suggested we call Lee Underwood. We did - Lee came out and the first thing he said was...did you get a new roof put on? Yes, I told him and he knew right away that the exhaust pipe had been extended. He cut it back down to the proper height and we went in the house and wa-la - the furnace took right off. Nice man - great service and very knowledgeable. We will use Lee in the future.

Turned out the Heat Pump system had three problems which the "original supplier" failed to find or fix on multiple occasions. Lee found all three on his first visit and fixed two. Lee bypassed the third problem so the unit would perform adequately while waiting for parts. He then came back "on his own time" i.e. well after normal working hours, to FIX the remaining problem. In addition to fixing the problems for a reasonable charge Lee saved me a lot of worry on a trip out of town during the cold weather. He will be my regular AC service supplier.

Mr. Underwood was out of town and the furnace would not come on. Temp outside was in the 20's. We called American Home Shield in desperation. After 2 weeks, 3 different repairmen they sent and the replacement of 2 parts that didn't work due to improper installation, Lee came out and corrected the errors. We are up and running again. Lee is our HERO.

Mr. Underwood came out and checked the heater in question and as we had two separate units he also checked on the other one. He had to climb into the attic space for the second unit, tight space. He made some recommendations for the attic unit to be done in near future, but both units were working fine. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely have him out again for any needed work.

Called late in afternoon around 2 pm he was here after he finished a job, I have called upon this company twice and have been extremely happy. From the lady who answers the phone to the gentlemen who comes to the house very professional and extremely courteous. Have recommended this co several times. thank you

Located the problem in a few minutes (chewed wire under home). Extremely honest. Repaired wire and recharged the system. $80.00 service call, $20.00 to find and repair wire, $50.00 for freon. Would highly recommend this company. Did not try to sell me anything, but was very knowledgeable when asked him about a new unit in the future. Very reasonable, good warranty, knew which manufacturers to avoid. Hard to find honest and professionals these days, this company is both.

Great! Underwood's Heating & A/C is the best. They came (after hours @ no charge) to diagnose my furnace problems, then promptly ordered, installed and troubleshot my entire furnace, propane & exhaust vent issues. Lee Underwood?s Heating and A/C provided great service at a very fair price. From the time I called (the lady that answered the phone was super polite and helpful) until the time repairs were made was less than 24 hours, and our issue was NOT an emergency. Mr. Underwood called before coming so we knew he was on his way and he showed up right on time (actually a little early, which was great.) He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained it to me, and showed me the problem. He then repaired it quickly and professionally. Mr. Underwood is very personable, intelligent, and fair. He isn?t looking to sell you stuff you don?t need. He just wants to find the problem, get you fixed up, and hopes you?ll call him the next time you need service. And in this case, we certainly will! Originally came out to provide an estimate for replacing the unit (at my request). Lee mentioned that there was a leak in one of our lines in the attic. Of all of the HVAC companies I had provide estimates Lee is the only one that mentioned the leak and gave me an estimate on how much longer we could get by with our current unit. He provided more options and more information than the other HVAC companies.

When our A/C unit failed to begin working early this summer, we contacted our appliance (not home) insurance company, who sent out one of their contractors. After several visits in which they failed to correctly or completely diagnose the problem, we were left with an issue that was going to be quite expensive to fix, but for which the insurance company refused further coverage. Since the insurers were now out of the picture we consulted Angie's List and found a highly-rated local heating and A/C service firm, Underwood's Heating & A/C. We called and set up a service visit. Mr. Underwood came, and after we briefed him on what had happened to that point, viewed the disabled system. After a brief investigation, he presented several options, with a focus on cost-effectiveness. He returned to the office and emailed us a firm quote. We accepted his quote and we set up a time for a second service call. The time came and so did Mr. Underwood. In a couple of hours the repair was completed and our system was working to keep us cool again. In fact, he had been able to devise an effective repair that was less costly, and saved us 15% relative to his quote. The initial visit was organized very quickly in a couple of days (that's fast at the peak of A/C service season!), the quotation arrived promptly, and the repair was completed as scheduled, very efficiently. We are very pleased with every aspect of the service from Underwood's Heating & A/C!

I am a 77-year-old widow who has never had to deal with air conditioning problems. After another man tried to rip me off badly, I began making calls and wound up being to referred to Mr. Underwood, who turned out to be my neighbor. He agreed to come over after he finished his appointments for the day, and told me I didn't need a new air conditioner, but only some Freeon. His honesty saved me almost $3,800. I was impressed by his knowledge, competency and reliability and would not hesitate to call on him again.
