Holloway Plumbing

Called for an estimate, and I was told that I have to call another company called A&A plumbing to get serviced, and thus despite the fact that my zip code is showing as inside their service area. Called A&A plumbing and they asked me to pay $25 to get someone to come and give me an estimate.

James Ozuna was fantastic, personable, courteous, professional and excellent at his job. Very thorough too.

He tightened it and it works beautifully now, but we do know that eventually the whole faucet will need to be replaced. However, we were grateful for his consideration of our financial situation and offered a less expensive solution in the hopes that the fix would last long enough in the meantime. We will always use Holloway because they're good people and provide excellent service!

Justin from Holloway came out to assess the problem, determined that a new faucet set was the only answer (the original was installed in the '70's) and arranged to return two days later after obtaining the Wolverine replacement for the Moen. Install required a bit of modification of the faucet entry due to the age of the cast iron/porcelain sink but Justin worked steadily and completed the work quickly and efficiently and with a great attitude!!

There is not much I like about them after spending $4500 with them. Initially when I recruited them, I was pleased with the services. The prices weren't cheap, they were premium market value, and I just thought it was commission based. After getting into 2 or 3 jobs, and spending $3500, which was services, I started to see the customer loyalty, and the customer service diminish. We got down to a very trivial issue. They had overtightened a water filter, and they had installed some stuff that was not leveled, and I was very patient, I understand plumbers. When I was trying to voice those concerns, Damon Lewis, the boss, took 10 minutes to belittle me, and basically imply that I was a really difficult, high maintenance type customer. The only thing that I can figure out what had happen, was that clearly for his guy to come back and fix the job that he messed up, he would have been losing money. Obviously his employee complained about me, creating some negative picture. I got my water filter fixed, and I made it very clear to Damon Lewis that the 10 minute condescending that he gave me, questioning my credibility and my integrity, after spending $3500 with him, and potentially spending an addition $4000, I wouldn't be spending with him. The fact that they are commission based is a problem, because you know that these guys want to sell you, in the discrepancies in the water filter price. I used them for exactly 3 different jobs, and when I needed something fixed, they were trying to square over it, and they belittled the customer. I let him know that I was going to use him for an additional $4000 and he lost that.

Excellent workmanship. The plumbers put shoe covers on their feet before entering my house and removed the old heater in a plastic bag so it wouldn't leak onto my carpeting. They also placed a rubber backed carpet on the floor to protect it where they were working. Thank you Gerald Masters and Dale Lemond. lOnce they arrived, everything was carefully explained, including cost for running the machine that would unclog the drain. They proceeded, and the drain was unclogged and flushed out. It took about 45 minutes. James Ozuna was the plumber that did the work, he was very competent and cleaned up any mess that he made, including removing spots on the carpet where his assistant stepped.

James arrived on time, answered all questions, explained process, provided prices. Very professional.

We called Holloway Plumbing and asked for a free estimate to do this small job. The dispatcher was friendly, knowledgeable and said a plumber would call back that day. In fact, it was less than 10 minutes. George called my husband to confirm his arrival time, with a second update. He's been a plumber for many years and knew how to properly install a new toilet.

Gerald and his helper were great. There were some parts that weren't shipped with the heater, and Gerald had to drive quite a distance to meet someone who brought them to him. This made him later than he had said, but he kept me informed of his progress with regular calls. They installed the new heater, hauled off the old one and cleaned up so well you couldn't tell anyone had been working there. They didn't even stop working for lunch!

The servicemen, Texas and Dale, were great. What impressed me was they could have sold me a new disposal unit, but instead they worked hard to fix my existing disposal at a much cheaper price. They were so generous that I will definitely use them in the future for any plumbing work.

The hot water heater is under warranty for parts only. The heater's pilot light kept going out. I called the technical service dept. at Bradford White and they determined the problem was the controller and/or the thermocoupler. They would only warrant the parts, not labor. They would only reimburse an authorized Bradford White dealer for parts so I contacted Holloway Plumbing in Kerrville, Tx.. They set up an appt. for 3/06/2014 between 3 & 5 P.M.. and said the technician would contact us prior to coming out. Mr. Gerald Masters contacted us at 4:15 P.M. on 3/06/2014 and said he was on his way. He arrived at 5:15 P.M. and started work. He was careful not to bring in dust or dirt and made sure his equip. was clean. He made me aware of the company policy of up-front pricing and estimated the job would take about 2 hrs to complete. Although I thought $422.00 was quite high for labor only ($153.00 to replace the thermocoupler, $215 to replace the controller and a $39. service charge) I felt I really had no choice. I told him to start on the job. He performed the work professionally and had to travel back to Kerrville, Tx. for parts. He returned to our house at 7:35 P.M. with the needed parts and finished the job at 8:25 P.M.. Mr. Gerald Masters did a good job for us, knew what he was doing and was courteous and professional. My concern is that for two hours of labor, no parts, the cost was $422.00. This seems very expensive to me. If Holloway Plumbing wants to do work in the Harper area they should join the Harper Chamber of Commerce.

It took many calls to get them at the home, the water shutoff is still not covered up, waiting for the city inspector for a month now._x000D_|

I had a nice conversation with the master plumber. The plumber came out with an assistant and did a thorough job of viewing the area where the heater was to go. The bid was delivered. By all standards, this was a high bill for what I wanted done. I called back asking for clarification on some of the costs and did not ever get a call back. I was concerned about some of the charges that didn't appear correct after I did some independent research.

Joe is a master plumber and he came with an assistant on time as scheduled. He and his assistant did an excellent job working in a small water heater closet. He explained all the work he did and showed me how it worked. Since some plumbers don't do water heaters, Simply Water Heaters is a part of his plumbing company that does just that. While I may have got a lower price somewhere else, I feel that the service provided was worth the cost.

Justin arrived midmorning and was completed in a timely manner. He replaced a pipe that was too short from the garbage disposal to the trap that had been previously installed about a year and a half ago by the same company. He explained that the garbage disposal was putting pressure on the pipe and that it needed the longer pipe to be secure in the fitting Justin was competent and very professional, and I would request him back if I had more plumbing work

I called them on a Monday at 7:30 and requested service. The office person asked all the right questions, what the problem was, gas, propane, or electric, size, etc. They called back at 8AM and said that a technician would be out between 10 and 12 the same day. The technicians Joe and Fernando arrived by 10:30 AM and reviewed the problem (deceased water heater). Joe then put together a cost sheet and requested that I review it. If it was ok for them to start on the replacement. I approved the workup and they started immediately. They drained the old water heater and removed all the old piping as well as the old water heater. Joe started replacing all the pipings while Fernando was getting the new water heater set up. All the fittings were replaced and taped. They had the new unit in place and working by 11:45 AM. They were extremely professional, and punctual. They cleaned up their work area as well as cleaned out the water heater closet before putting the new old in. I was very pleased with their work. They were not the cheapest plumbers I contacted but there work and punctuality were fantastic.

Have never worked with a company so accomodating and over and above what others do. The two men worked hard to solve difficulties caused by the contractor who built the house with substandard materials. They were professional, personable, and explained everything. Will never use a different plumber. The men that worked on our house were Gerald and Dale. Thank you so much, gentlemen.

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to a restaurant with all of our relatives and company. When our party returned to our home, we found that the sewer line had plugged. All the plumbing companies were closed except for Holloway Plumbing. One of their technicians, Justin, left his Thanksgiving family celebration, and was at our home within an hour. He worked until dark and was then replaced by another technician, Gerald, who cleared the problem about an hour later. We were able to resume our holiday gathering. Holloway's prompt response to our call for help is greatly appreciated. Their technicians were courteous, professional, and kept us informed as to progress on the problem.

Justin Carnes displayed exemplary professionalism in every aspect of his job. He arrived on time and was through in his execution of the plumbing repairs. He also explained that our service contract included a complete plumbing inspection and scheduled a date to preform the inspection. Our two dogs also enjoyed the attention he gave them. As long as Justin comes back, we will keep Holloway as our plumbing company of choice in the Kerrville area.

mold check was from previous leak. no indication of active problem. created access to allow mold treatment and observation. Tech name Matt Simpson who was most courteous and professional in his inspection and diagnosis of the cause of the mold problem.

I called their office on Thursday morning and the crew arrived on Friday afternoon. Joe and Duane were both extremely professional in appearance as was their truck. I take notice in such things as that will often tell you all you need to know about a company. The office had already asked for the serial number and model number on my unit, so when they arrived Joe already knew the age and details of what I had. As my unit was already 11 years old and after doing research there wasn't much question in my mind that it needed to be replaced, but I explained the problem I was having with my water heater and Joe gave me my options, although he did suggest replacing it as repairs on a unit that age isn't usually a wise investment for the cost. They had the new unit hooked up in an hour, double checked it, swept out the room and were on their way in less than 2 hours total time. I was really glad to come across a company that specializes in water heaters instead of having to call a plumber who has to come look, go to a store, load up what I needed and then come back to install. These guys are really ahead of the game in that manner and a great business model for filling in an empty spot in the service industry. They also do regular plumbing work and I'll be calling them for that, but as the name implies, they are the water heater gurus of the San antonio area. It's really nice these days to find service providers like Simply Water Heaters. They are sadly few and far between. Give them a call, you won't be sorry.

Having been out of town for a week, we returned to find a pretty badly leaking water heater (one of two). We called late on a Saturday afternoon, reaching the answering service and received a callback in minutes. The company's master plumber was contacted and within an hour an appointment was scheduled for SUNDAY morning! We were already satisfied with the company's install of a water heater in September and we had no hesitation calling them again. Cannot recommend more highly! Service, cleanup, product.... they have it all.

Dispatcher was very friendly and connected me to Jared...not sure of the name...quickly. He listened to my problem and asked a tech my questions. He called me right back and said a tech would be out soon. Matt Simpson showed up about three hours later and was very friendly and professional. He was pleasant to talk to and answered all of my questions. The response time was longer due to it being Sunday and he came straight from church. Matt did a great job and I will request him when I need plumbing service again! The only complaint I have is the pricing is expensive, especially for a single mother that lives paycheck to paycheck.
