GUADALUPE WASTEWATER CO

The promptness of the response, punctuality, quality of work, and professionalism were all good. I'm new to the area and had a service contract with Guadalupe Wastewater for my septic system because the previous owners used them. I called them first thing in the morning to report a problem with the septic system. They asked me a few questions over the phone as to when the last time the system ran the sprinklers... based on my answers David determined that a service call was in order and said he would be over at 10am. He showed up a little early and got started right away. He found the problem rather quickly and began the repair (replacing one faulty float switch). After the repair he tested the system and all was fine. I got the bill and that's where I'm not so happy: the break out of the bill included 3 pieces of heat shrink at $11ea, 6 zip ties at $4ea, and the float switch. I was ok with the repairs but nickeling and diming me for minor parts like heat shrink and zip ties ($57..??). The service call was billed at 2.5 hours, so it started when he left the office to come to my house. He was only on location for 1.75hrs. I'm mainly irked at the petty billing and overcharging of hours. I called the company to express my displeasure of the billing and they explained that all the charges and billing were standard and that they would refund me for 15min of time. The promptness of the response to the problem, punctuality, quality of work, and professionalism were all good. I'm actually undecided about whether to use them again if I need to. I also called around to other companies and found out that the charging of minor parts is standard in the area.
