I scheduled an appointment to get my air conditioner fixed. At the end of the appointment window, the dispatcher called to say the technician was 20 minutes away. After waiting for an additional hour, I called back. Dispatch said he was 20 minutes away and apologized. They said he was stuck in traffic. When he arrived, the technician was very abrasive and hardly made an effort to wear a mask in my house. It was obvious the technician had been smoking weed. After looking at the air conditioner for 10 minutes, the technician said the only option was to replace the entire system and began going through pricing for a new unit. It was clear his only intention was to sell me a new unit. I had a second company come out and they had no issue fixing my current system. Very disappointed in metro express.

Within 2-3 days of the quote, installers showed up on time and worked diligently all day to replace the outside unit and the air handler in our 2nd story attic. We also had them run larger ductwork to one of the rooms upstairs that needed better air flow for cooling. The Trane xv20i has had no mechanical quality issues at all and we have seen savings on our electric bill. The "B" grade is related to the technicians' (not installers) limited experience with the smart thermostat which may have improved by now as it was relatively new back then. I've awarded an A for cost but, to be fully transparent, we didn't solicit additional quotes and may have been able to find slightly better pricing. Included in the pricing was 2 free years of maintenance and, I'm sure, some buffer to cover the 0% interest/5 years loan.

Our service manager has taken care of the issues with the new air handler and the tenant is cooling and hopefully will have no more problems. We have given Mr [Member Name Removed] 5 year MES Agreement on the new air handler, that includes Air & Heating Maintenances as well as Parts & Labor. We also, gave them a Preventative Maintenance Contract for the outside condenser for 5 years. This includes the Air & Heating Maintenances with a 10% discount for repairs. They're very good. They're very reliable and dependable and they do good work. Different people come out each time to do the work, but it doesn't seem to matter because they're all good. They show up when they say they will. Every once in a while, we've had to replace a part or something and I think in those cases, under the contract, the labor is covered and we have to pay for the part but they're very reasonable.

Took longer to install than we were told; had to scramble to arrange time off from work. After system was running, the zones were not channeled correctly, making parts of the house extremely cold or hot. So that was one return trip. Then we found out the primary evaporator drain was plumbed to the secondary outlet, which was dripping off our patio. So that was a second return trip. Then, we found out the humidifier was slowly leaking. The water leaked through the ceiling and down the wall, behind the paint, which stained the ceiling, split the crown moulding, and bubbled the wall paint. They returned a 3rd time to replace the humidifier. They say the crack was a "factory defect:, but it looked to us that the installer over torqued it and cracked it. From that point we couldn't get MES to return our call to tell us status on getting the wall repaired. We called half a dozen times over a month and each time, had to repeat the situation and were told they'd call back. Days went by and no call.

MES has been out to my house about twice a year since the evaporator coil was originally replaced by them in 2012 under manufacturer warranty. They have yet to resolve the leak issue. The system is out of Puron after being filled in October 2015. 13 pounds and the tech was going to refill it with $500 worth of refrigerant without fixing the leak. On the bright side, their price seems to be about the same as other estimates and they do get people out to look at issues pretty quick. This doesn't make up for multiple calls on the same issue and no resolution. Bottom line is I went to another company for a complete AC replacement.
Description of Work: Needed an estimate to get warranty replacement of an evaporator coil that was leaking. Was charged for a service charge.

They're all extremely polite, nice and always do a good job. Their ability to respond to questions and concerns was good. All of the sudden something's wrong, two different sets of them came and they never confirmed what it was and they came to do a regular roofing check and said what was wrong, it was kind of odd but you're not even pleased they came 2 or 3 times, it takes 3rd times really and but even before but you get a problem to have it fixed but I tried to understand their condition so I can't really blame them for it supposedly they did everything that they are supposed to do try and find it and they didn't.

I was told that they were going to get an inspection because with anything done on your home you're supposed to get an inspection and they said they were going to pull the permits. So after they're done Trane would come out and check the air conditioner unit plus the city that I live in, which is the city of north Richland Hills, a city inspector would also come check it. No city inspector has ever come so that made me to believe they never pulled the permit. They're on my list to call about that too because that's pretty much a lie. They lied to us. My unit works good. They got it in. I thought they did a good job. I've had to call them on a couple of things. They've gotten back to me on it. But the only thing really is about the inspection. I'm kind of upset about the inspection thing. I just kind of feel like that shouldn't be my responsibility to call the company. When they send a sales person out and they have that conversation with you they have to follow through on why was an inspection not done. That's just a normal procedure, anything you do on your home now you have to pull an inspection. We were told they would handle it. Everything else was fine. They put the unit in and it was a little wild and they had to come back and redo a vent. So we did have a little problem with that but they took care of it. They came and they sold us. Two days later we were getting a unit in. So I believed everything they said. I liked the fact they had 24 hour service. They kind of made you feel like you're a priority. I just felt like I've been deceived. Don't tell me if you're not going to do it. I could have handled that but since you presented that and said that's what you were going to do you should followed through. That's your job.

I am extremely pleased with the work that Edward did. It toook a monumental effort to clean out the drain line. First, he/we had to locate where the drain line is supposed to empty out on the first floor, then he had to cut the line in order to attmepto to drain water and debris clogging the line. When we determiend the water still wasn't draining properly, we went upstairs near the air conditoning unit and cut the line again. Edwared had a piece of machinery that blew into the line forcing water and gunk out of the line. When the line was determined to be free of gunk, Edward reconnected the line pieces and sealed the joints. He then vacuumed up all the water and debris that came out of the drain line leaving the areas (in which he worked) in the same cleaned state as how they were before he began. The work done today was a follow-up to the and quot;springand quot; serviceand quot; call I had the previous week. Even though it took a second call to totally complete what should have been accomplished by the first service call, I am very pleased with MES. The work provided by Edward, during this follow-up, was done at no charge to me. I would certainly hire MES again and would request Edward when the and quot;fall/winterand quot; service is required. I also, referred a neighbor of mine to MES and my neighbor seemed pleased with the work that was done by MES.

This is for Metro Express Services - address 7120 W Interstate 20, Arlington, TX 76017, phone 817-516-0700 Jacob worked with me to get an estimate, change products after I had other estimates, and come up with a very good price (other's could come close, but MES was willing to do everything but the enhanced air filters for the price I wanted - it pays to compare and not be in a rush, as my existing units were still functioning but ready to be replaced). Beyond Jacob, Nathan, James, Jesse and Johnny all did great work - kept my property as clean as possible, explained what they were doing, were more than willing to redo some things that just didn't work out the way they expected (enlarged return was too loud, so they added an extra return) Installation took 15 hours for 2 men. Quality review and some adjustments took another 3 hours. Rework/adjustments took another 4 hours for 2 men. They definitely were willing to spend the time to get things done well. Assuming the units work as advertised and no unexpected problems, I can't imagine a better deal (product and service).
