Contractor did a good job.

I called to set up an appointment for an estimate on regrouting my shower, and I left a message on their answering machine. The called back two days later, and we scheduled the appointment for Wednesday at 6:00. On Wednesday, Matt called to say that he was stuck on a job and would not be able to make the appointment. That's fine - I understand things happen, and I appreciate his calling early enough that I could re-work my schedule for that evening. We rescheduled for Friday at 8:30 a.m. On Friday, I stayed home from work to meet with Matt at 8:30 and get the estimate. By 9:00, he had not shown up and had not called. I called the company's main number and just got the answering machine. Then I called Matt's mobile number and left him a voice mail (he didn't answer), informing him that I needed to go to work and cancelling our appointment. I wasted 2+ hours of my morning (I normally leave the house at 7:00), and I had no estimate to show for it. Based on other reviews on this site, I trust that Grout Medic does good work. But in business, first impressions are everything, and a reschedule and a no-show for an estimate does not fill me with confidence in this company. What assurance do I have now that they will show up on time if I hire them to do the job? I have tolerance for the rescheduling - I understand that unexpected things come up - but I have no tolerance for being stood up and having my time wasted without so much as a phone call. Needless to say, I will not be hiring Grout Medic for this or any other job.

Representative (Matt) listened carefully to my concerns and recommended an effective solution. He did excellent work, was on time, polite, overall a great value. The repair is still working. No evidence of mildew or mold 5 months later (prior to Grout Medic mold and mildew appeared within days of cleaning).

A company rep showed up on time and gave me what I believed to be a reasonable estimate. After getting several bids from contractors to completely re-do the shower my wife and I decided that we would just repair the tile for now. The worker showed-up on time and completed the work on time. I believe that he would have finished much sooner if he wasn't such a "chatty Kathy". But, I can't complain. He was pleasant and I think that he did a good job. My only complaint is that the new tiles do not match the old tiles but I am to blame for the "mismatch" as I am the one that picked them out (they matched perfectly in the store!)

The price was more than reasonable and my shower is now clean and I am pleased with the work and contractor Matt . Thanks Matt for all your hard work. I would defiantly recommend this company and will use again for other grout work when needed.

They are very honest. He told me they could do the work but they couldn't guarantee it. The person that put our tiles in use the wrong grout. They said they could fix it. David was honest and straight forward, he explained everything to me, and didn't push any of the work need on me. He told me that the other company used floor grout and not wall grout. He didn't try and talk me into doing anything, he was just straight forward and I liked that. They were prompt and courteous.

They did a great job. They called me when they were going to be 10 minutes late. They got everything done in a timely manner and explained what they were going to do. So far it has been good.

This was a small job and I was concerned about getting it done in a quality manner and economically. Did work as proposed, on time and in professional manner. Very satisfied.

Allen was very responsive when I left him a message that we would like to get an estimate on the work to be done on two of our showers. He came when he said he would and left us a detailed estimate of the work to be performed. His quote was very competitive, but he was just more professional than the gentleman from the competitor with a very similar name. He did not try to "sell" me on having both showers re-grouted and re-caulked, acknowledging that one of our showers did not need as extensive work (Now that we have seen how much better our other shower looks, we may just go ahead and have them re-grout the one we only had re-caulked). We had to wait three weeks to have the work done because he was so booked. Jeff was our "medic", and he arrived precisely at the scheduled time. He spent nearly 6 hours on our showers, and they look fantastic! I pointed out to Jeff that we had just had new carpet installed, and he was very careful to keep the work area neat and clean.

We had a pretty good experience with this company and were pleased with their work and the price. The only thing that was a little negative was that they came later than they said they would. The serviceman was courteous and friendly and apologized for being.
