They never returned my calls.

Miserable. We bought the services in 2011. when contacted he said he was overwhelmed and got a lot of Dallas assignments when he only did Ft. Worth. He said it was a mutual mistake with Angie's List. But he said if we could wait he would perform the service. When we made the appointment he basically went through the motions and we had to call him to get his response, which he whipped out in a few hours or so it appears and he left out several things (we wanted a gas cook top design, he came up with an electric drop-in even though we had a separate wall oven and his design included it. We were looking for ideas but ended up with (1) a re-do of what we had and (2) he parroted back to us what we said. No originality, no thought to the process. A thorough waste of time for both of us. Follow Up The design wasn't worth direct feedback, you got it here. He never asked for ANYTHING in advance of the appointment, except for patience in setting it. I had to followup twice to get any response from him after the meeting. The rest of the comments show enough contempt for his customers to prompt me to waste no more time.

If you want the job done well and in the time period promised, do hire Swanson Renovations.

It took awhile to receive the drawings of what the new bathroom would look like. He took many measurements. He put everything where I asked in his drawing. I was very impressed with the picture. I found him on Angie's List. I would use him.

The job started with the total protection of the areas of my home not involved in the remodel. Floors were covered completely and furniture was draped and a zippered plastic covered the entry area to the work zone.The tear out was completed fast and thoroughly and cleaned up immediately. From beginning to end there was never a time when work wasn't being done. The subs were totally respectful of me and my home, and I never had loud music or trash to contend with.Chad and Carter were extremely sensitive to my design ideas and always listened and responded to my ideas and concerns.The job was completed on time and with such attention to detail that I would highly recommend this company. It is my opinion that Chad Swanson has such a high level of integrity that he wouldn't be able to accept anything but perfection in his work and that of his subs.

Company owner and project manager showed up on day 1 to prep work area. Detailed care was taken to seal off work area, furniture, floors and porch all covered and protected from dust, debris and dirt. Each days activities where planned and communicated. Care was taken to be punctual, neat and mindful of the family pet who watched the whole process with interest. Project manager was on site daily to monitor work progress and confirm fixture placements, vanity placements and the variety of other details during a remodel. A mis-communication on lighting placement was promptly fixed without delay. Billing was clear and easy to read. Payment was due as a specific portion was completed to our satisfaction. The entire project took 4 business weeks to complete. While any remodel is a inconvenience - these guys were great to work with and care was taken to minimize the impact on the family.

We started with Swanson Renovations by purchasing a kitchen design from them and receiving what we considered to be a very fair bid. We are absolutely thrilled with the results!!! While preparing the design, Chad Swanson LISTENED to what we wanted and gave us expert advice on alternatives that we should consider. When he emailed the first version of the design, it was like he had been able to read our minds. It was perfect. As work began, they identified a very serious structural issue (a sagging support beam) and faulty electrical wiring that needed repair. They came up with a cost effective plan to address these issues, and to add several other tasks that we had been wanting to fix on the 1959 house since we bought it. The original contract called for the work to be completed in 6 to 7 weeks. The actual time - even with the add-ons - was exactly 7 weeks. Amazing! While the problems with the house added to the cost, Chad Swanson and his project manager Carter Lyons were excellent at presenting options to reduce cost while giving us the quality we all wanted. We had the strong feeling that Swanson was just as interested in the quality of the finished product and maintaining the integrity of the design as we were. While every aspect of the job was outstanding, we feel the most important skill demonstrated by Swanson's team was excellent communications. We always knew where things were at, what was going to happen next, and which things would impact us as we lived temporarily in our bedroom. Every day, Carter would brief us on the next days work and schedule. In order to keep costs down, we supplied many of the components such as light fixtures and appliances. They did a great job making sure we knew when these items would be needed and the correct type to purchase. Most of the owner supplied material was purchased on the internet at a discount from store prices. ALL of the contractors used by Swanson - plumber, electrician, painter, tile and others did a spectacular job and were very pleasant to work with. There have only been three issues since the job was completed, and all were dealt with promptly and completely. All work passed the city inspections on the first try. Would we use them again? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! In fact, we plan to hire them later this year to renovate our bathrooms. There is literally nothing I would change about this project, and I give all the credit to the wonderful Swanson team. We love our beautiful kitchen, pantry, laundry, living and dining rooms!

Since I knew nothing except trying to stay in budget I had many concerns and know i tested Chad's patience but he didn't run away. He speaks his mind and that was refreshing. He wants the job done right even it costs him money out of his own pocket and I felt the same way even it was going to increase my budget expenses. He has responded in a timely manner to do touch ups etc. . All the workers have a good sense of humor so it was easy to establish a rapport with them. As the area's economy improves he will have to hire more full time employees. Hire him now. P.S. The company took every precaution to manage the dust and dirt that comes with remodeling and no on complained about having to climb three flights of stairs to get to the bathroom They all lost weight and are real troopers.

Giving a "C" for showed up on time to take measurements, and a "D" grade for no "D"eliverables.

Overall, it was fine. We got an estimate that was detailed and reasonable. Decided to use another contractor.

He hasn’t finished yet but he was certainly nice when he came out.

Fast efficient and beautifully done. Every subcontractor was scheduled appropriately and without long delays.

Chad promptly returned my initial call and we met within a day or two to discuss the project. Chad was very professional and easy to work with. His project manager, Carter, kept me informed on what to expect every step along the way. They blocked off the kitchen area and covered the high traffic areas with plastic so I didn’t have to worry about noise and dust. All of the sub-contractors were pleasant and did great work. I think what impressed me the most about Chad and his crew was their willingness to work with me to make sure that I was happy with all the work being done. I especially appreciated Chad’s patience and guidance. He has a very good eye for what looks good and helped me make sure that I made the right choices. He is very meticulous about all aspects of the work being done and makes sure that things are completed to the highest standard. Overall, they did an excellent job. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I plan to use them in the future for any upcoming home improvement projects.

I could not be happier with the work performed or those who performed it. Everyone was punctual, respectful and most easy to have in and around the house. They cleaned up after themselves each day and made what could have been a highly stressful situation very manageable. I will be using Swanson Renovations for further projects and highly recommend their work.

Chad's team is very professional. They completed all of the work quickly and cleaned up after they were completed. The work is the highest quality. I will definitely use them again.

Their pricing was little high. They are very interacting. They were very thorough and they knew what they were doing. The guy who came out was very good. His quality of answers were much better. We had called someone before for a quote, but they never showed up again and they never got us the quote. I would consider using their service in the future.

They were very pleasant and professional. They were prompt in returning my request for information. I would possibly use them again in the future.

Chad was responsive to our requests. He kept us informed as to the plans and if we were ok with the plans. Chad was onsite, at times, during the days his crew was at our house, so adjustments could be made quickly.

Chad is very professional and extremely communicative. He contacted me within minutes of posting a request on Service-Magic and arrived professionally dressed to provide an estimate. The estimate was detailed and emailed overnight. Chad & his partners finished the work within a week including one day when the power went out He also did a couple of smaller jobs for me during the process. The wall they rebuilt is superior to the original. Chads best work is in structural and finish carpentry.
