Since we have heard nothing from Swanson and have been terribly disappointed, we were wondering how this word gets out to other potential clients. They did not provide any service other than wasting our time and costing us $75 with absolutely nothing in return. I question the vetting that is done by Angie's List that allows this kind of scam.

I have a real problem with them. They had the promotion for renderings of work to be done and it was for both bath and kitchen. He sent me the kitchen ones after several months I mean after times had gone by. I have to check and see when I started this whole process, but I am thinking it started back in March or April. The process started and you know they were very nice. He came out and we had a real nice two hour visit and he was great and then he said they will get the renderings to me in couple of weeks and I understood that he was busy, but I kept on the followup and finally he did send me some for kitchen and I gave my feedback and told him what I didn't like. He replied pretty quickly so okay we will send a new rendering of that and also of the bath and now here it is October and I got nothing. I think I have sent two emails in the last two weeks and I told him I said look I pay the $150 right off for two different renderings which I thought was reasonable, I thought was fine. Technically he did give me the kitchen one after I prompted all the time so I didn't request that, but I have insisted that he reimbursed me for the $75 dollar like this is going to happen. I would have appreciate it if he just mail it to me and we will leave it at that and it is when you that you called as I am very close to make this thing going to work. He is an outstanding guy, came really straightforward and it looks like some of his work his good. I don't know if this is because she is overwhelmed and can't handle the volume and did not provide at least the minimum that the rendering that he promised and all these months had gone by. I don't think that represents Angie's list very well at all. I left him a voice message it is probably been couple of weeks and he did not return my call. All I can think is I don't think his intentions are bad and I think it was a promotion that overwhelmed him because I think he just got so many people that put in a request because he had promised to come through and I am just one of those examples of somebody he didn't follow up with and at this point they reimbursed and technically you did do the kitchen rendering even though I didn't like it. I can't take that away from him, but I do expect $75 sent to me. I haven't received any response and I pretty much the ultimatum email. I didn't make any threats or I am not going to do anything on Angie's list and that was going to be my next stop and that is just not the way I rolled. I think people need to be aware of his lack of service. He is not professional if he don't followup. I think he just can't handle this kind of workload. I would not use them again in the future.

Provider was to provide a bathroom design with floor plan, lighting, cabinet, tile design, and a 3-D rendering. He came to our house, took measurements of the area, and discussed the process with us indicating he would have the plan done in 2 to 3 weeks. After 6 months, we have given up; his only response to follow up calls and emails has been to emails that seemed to be written to a larger group than just us explaining one time how he was backlogged and another time how he had been sick. Both emails indicated we would receive our product "at the end of the month" - unfortunately this never came to pass.

Mr. Swanson seemed very competent when he was gathering information from be about what types of things I would like in the new bathroom. He seems to have good innovative ideas. He stated at that time that he was quite busy as a result of the "Big Deal" that I had purchased and since I was in no hurry to get the work done on my bathroom I told him not to rush with the plan. Another individual from Swanson Renovations called me a couple of months later to tell me he would be working on my plan. Since then, I have heard nothing from anyone at Swanson's. I have tried both by phone and email to contact them for about 3 weeks but have received no reply. I am sorry to put in negative comments since I think they would do good work and give me a well designed plan but since I can't get in touch with them I really don't know what else to do.

He only provide the layout but I have not had him or anyone else complete the work as of this date. Will contact him for a bid in the future if and when I decide to perform the remodeling.

Mr. Swanson was very professional and came out and took dimensions and spoke to me about the project. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about the work. He did mention that he was extremely busy and his core area was more Keller/Fort Worth and it would be a long distance for me. We left our meeting with the assignment for him to provide an estimate the 3-d rendering of the project. He told me it would take about a month for him to get to it for which I responded sure no problem. After a couple of emails and phone calls he has yet to provide either of the assignments. He did respond to an email and a phone call requesting more time, however it has been more then 4 months so I have given up chasing him down for the rendering and chalked the money up as a loss. In summary I think he just has too much business to be bothering with this project even though our project estimates to date are around $40 k so it is a pretty substantial project.

Purchased the service but never got around to scheduling the service, my mistake. Perhaps recommend the company make contact to follow-up as well

After purchasing the Big Deal, I worked with Chad to come up with plans for remodeling my bathroom. He came and measured and we discussed the project. He did several renderings based on my comments. Unfortunately, we weren't getting to a look I liked. When I felt he'd more than earned the money I'd paid for the Big Deal, I decided to call it off and tackle it some other time. Chad was very professional throughout and I think if I'd had him do any of the remodeling, he'd have done a good job.

Never received a design plan from Swanson Renovations.

We would highly recommend Chad and his team. Chad listened carefully to what we wanted and offered suggestions on both the design and functionality of our kitchen. Before we started, he took us to several homes where we were able to see his work first hand and get ideas about how we wanted our finished kitchen to look. He worked tirelessly throughout the renovation to make sure we were pleased with every aspect of the project. He was involved at every step of the way--from initial design to tear-out to installation. He was easy to reach by phone and was on the worksite daily. He was willing to accommodate our work schedules by meeting with us after hours and on week-ends to discuss plans and pick out materials. One of our favorite features of our new kitchen is a custom island that Chad designed and created for us. The cabinetry is elegant and highly functional. It has a bookshelf, 4 spice cabinets, and a built-in bread drawer. We also like the treatment that he did on our existing cabinets--an antique white with a glaze. It makes our kitchen look more spacious and light.

It was fine and they did a very good job. There were no extra charges because we went ahead and did the renovations with them. They were punctual and there was always somebody here doing the things that they said they were going to do. They were very responsible and they cleaned up very well.

They're great. There's nothing negative I can say about Chad Swanson. In my book, his team is rated top can. Their workmanship is the best. His prices were beyond reasonable.

Chad was wonderful helping me through the design process. His 3D renderings showed me he understood my vision and made the process much easier for us. He also has an inside decorator working for him who visits your home, helps with design, color, tile, lighting choices. She will also visit vendors with you to pick out your design choices.

There were no additional charges outside the big deal amount. They were good!

Swanson Renovations was very professional and did fantastic work. Probably not the cheapest company to go with, but fairly priced and their work speaks for itself. I would recommend them again to anyone who needs contract work done.

Although initially it went ok they promised to send kitchen drawings and then shortly later the bath drawings. I did get the kitchen renderings but never got the bath drawings. They explained they were backed up and said it would be a while before they could get to the bath. I was ok with that but it is now going on 1 year later and nothing. I tried to call several times left Msgs etc. but none were returned. Ok so they ripped me off took my money and I got only half of what I paid for!,. Thanks Angie's list for steering me wrong and stealing my money

They asked me if I got what I wanted, I suppose I got what I wanted but I wouldn't hire the guy. As for what it was, we got it but it took forever. It took months. My husband and I told him what we had in mind remodeling the entire bathroom. He was probably in our house for about half an hour and he had some suggestions. He did respond to two of my phone calls after that and emails. He did provide for us a 3D rendering of several different angles of what our bathroom would look like after he was done with it. Between the time he was in our bathroom and to the time we got the rendering, it was two or three months. I asked him about that and I did inquire, he said he was swamped because of the Angie's list deal so that was his reason for not giving a timely response.

Everything went great and the drawings were delivered as promised. They are beautiful with so much potential. Unfortunately, we have been distracted with several unplanned projects that have come up and we have not yet followed thru on the actual remodel but that is getting closer to the top of our "to do" list. When we are ready, we will certainly work with Swanson to perform the needed work.

Don't buy a Big Deal if you are on a time frame!

He is really a contractor and we didn't end up using him, but I would have felt very comfortable hiring him. As it goes with the deals sometime, he got many, many more purchases than he expected so it took him a while, but even as swamped as he had to be, he stuck to his word and worked through them without skimping on the work. Overall I was very pleased and impressed with his dedication.

Really good, with the help of Chad and Carter. Sometimes a project of this size can be overwhelming but they helped us through the tough days.

This company was spot on with their estimate and timing. They were very good and keeping everything clean, picking up after themselves each day, and at the end of the project.

We found him to be right on time, professional, helpful and sincere. We haven't received his design or cost estimate yet, but I felt he was honest about his thoughts on cost and construction timeframe.

Very professional. Pleased with service and no high pressure to purchase additional services.
