Response from Swanson Renovations, LLC
Below Is the email I recievd from this member after completing the new kitchen design and my response. I was asked to give the details of storage space in removing the pantry with the new design. After my response I made many phone call that went to voicemail where I left a message each time. None of my calls where ever returned. I would appreciate that members at least be truthful in their reviews. Hey Chad, my wife has concerns about the lack of a pantry. She doesn't want to store food in under counter cabinets. Can you describe the storage plan/volume with your design? Also, I'm not sure I mentioned this, but we want to add a beverage refrigerator along the wall by the pass thru. Looking forward to your answer.... On Monday, September 10, 2012, wrote: My response: Hello Member, Thanks for getting back so fast. I calculated the volume currently being used in your pantry at about 72 cubic feet. That is with using all the floor space up to the 24" mark and (5) rows of 12" deep 8' linear feet shelves being use to full capacity. There is alot of wasted space given the foot print of the pantry. The new cabinet layout will give you a little over 100 cubit feet of storage and at the same time increase the feel in size of the kitchen. Also, I believe the greatest gain is by creating a balanced focal point of the range wall. I try to incorporate base cabinet pullouts to maximize the storage volume at the same time giving you an easy way to access the items situated towards the rear of the cabinet. You will also gain some need counter space. I hope this answers some concerns. All things being equal how do you and your wife feel about the way the range will look on that wall? Chad
