Platinum Painting and Gutters

********** BUYER BEWARE *********** If you are looking for an upstanding, professional, stand behind our word company then KEEP LOOKING cause this one is NOT it. After the initial paint job, it took 3 additional visits just to get the paint job finished properly and correctly AND I am still waiting on the cedar shutters that were part of this agreement. The salesman and owner both left me high and dry claiming that was not in the companies’ scope of work. Needless to say, we are going elsewhere for the gutters and will be spreading the word on this unprofessional, unethical, untrusting and extremely questionable company. If you are currently working with them, I highly recommend paying via credit card only, this way you have some leverage when the dispute arises and trust me it will.

I highly recommend this company! My home has been beautifully updated. They did an excellent job. I would tell anyone needing paint, they are super-efficient, hardworking, do fabulous work & are priced great!

Excellent! Platinum painting and gutters once again provided fabulous results when they painted the exterior of our home and replaced our gutters.

Platinum Painting was amazing! I needed cabinets painted in my kitchen and they were from the 2000 era (milky white/pink wash). Platinum Painting stripped, stained and finished the cabinets beautifully so they now match our hardwood floors.

I've used Platinum Paint to paint the inside and outside of several houses I own over the years. They are now the preferred company to call for painting in our HOA. They do a great job and pay special attention to detail. The are a trusted company, show up on time, get the job done and clean up afterwards. They will also return and correct any issue you may find afterwards.

We had the 2000-type pink/white milk wash cabinets in our kitchen. Platinum Painting came in and stripped them and then stained them to match our existing dark wood floors. We could not be more happy with the results. The work was done several years ago and they still look just as good as the day the day were done. I typically don't write reviews but Platinum Painting was top notch and I wanted people to know that.

Buyer beware! They use subcontractors who are NOT licensed or insured. False advertising. Their ad says, "Fully insured," but apparently not their subcontractors. Here's what happened. I had a sales rep come out, Cristian Barraza at cristian@platinumpainting.com, to look at my whole house project. I was then told I would receive a quote the same night or first thing in the morning. Finally received the quote, although not as timely as expected. The price was more than others; however, with the 15% coupon, they were more in line with other quotes. Of course, makes me think that they increased their price to compensate for the coupon since the other companies did not need a coupon. I was then sent a final quote after I requested one additional repair and was told I needed to sign the quote to reserve our dates. See attached. I reviewed the paperwork and noticed that in very small print, the paperwork says, "We use professional subcontractors." Using subcontractors is not an issue, but since I am an attorney, I wanted to make sure the subcontractors were licensed and insured. I send an email to Cristian and when I finally get the response back, after hours, his emails states, in part, "After reviewing your project, we may not be a good fit for you." What? Is that Platinum's way of saying they do not have insurance on their subcontractors? I send Cristian an email asking for clarification. I tell Cristian that I just want to make sure the workers are insured because I do not need someone who gets hurt filing a claim against my homeowner's insurance policy. Well, Cristian ghosts me. On Mon Aug 8, I call the main number and leave a message for a manager or the owner. I also send an email to the business office at 'office@platinumpainting.com'. On Tues Aug 9, I call in the middle of day (1:45 pm) because I haven't heard from anyone, Cristian or the business office, and no one answers the phone. I leave another message. As I write this review, no one has responded to my emails nor returned any of my phone calls. I have been ghosted all because I asked if their subcontractors have insurance. I guess the answer is NO! Don't waste your time with this company. As an attorney, I can tell you that if a subcontractor injures themselves while doing a project, it will hurt your homeowner's insurance. If a subcontractor does damage to your house or steals something, clearly Platinum is not going to cover their action since they do not insure them.

Chris was professional and accurate in assessment of the work that need to be accomplished . He listened to my concerns and addressed them. The crew was also professional and respectful of the property. There was extreme attention to detail and the cleanup was meticulous. Chris touched base everyday to make sure everything was on track and that I was happy with the job. He would also come by and find the smallest details that I would have never noticed and had the crew address it. The job was done on time and on estimate. Exceeded my expectation. Would use them again.

Platinum prices were very competitive and the work was very detailed. The pressure washed was done the night before, and the old gutters were removed a few days earlier. They were on time and started working immediately after Chris, the project manager, instructed them on what to do. They caulked all the seems on the wood before starting the painting and protected other areas. Chris was here at the start and end of both painting and gutters projects. He was very responsive through out the work. The gutters were installed a few days after. Everything looks great, I’ll definitely hire Platinum in the future for the inside painting.

I chose this company for gutter replacement and painting the exterior of my house because they had good reviews and the estimate was reasonable. Rod Bohl was the project manager. I ended up cancelling them after the very first day they were supposed to start the work. Rod had told me the crew would remove the gutters at 8am. At 8:30 they had not come so I texted Rod. He didn't even know they hadn't shown. Then he texted me they would be here at 11. They never came. Turns out the schedule had been changed due to the possibility of rain. However, Rod didn't even know that until the next day and he never checked on whether or not they had come. He did not know what was going on with my project and I expect a project manager to be on top of things. I knew after that I would not be able to trust him or the company to do what they said they were going to do. It is unacceptable to me to leave a customer not knowing what is going to happen and when. I do not recommend this company.

Platinum Painting was exceptional! Great service and communication from Kevin, our project manager. Completed the job early, with excellent results! Would absolutely recommend Platinum to anyone looking for painting contractors.

It went poorly. Office staff was very competent. Project manager should retire or change professions. Slow, unresponsive, had to be prodded to come out. Acted as though he was being inconvenienced when we called him. Our project was definitely not a priority. We were disappointed since everyone we had used through Angie's List had been excellent.

I got the whole home exterior painted and all windows caulked plus a few worn out planks replaced including chimney edges. About the quote: Eddie gave me a detailed quote for the job and provided a breakdown of some repairs as per my request since I hadn't decided if I wanted to get them done or not. He gave me the detailed quote while he was here and I liked that plus the repair cost breakdown. He also suggested using hardie board for planks being replaced as well as improving the seal around the garage door when I told him about insect issues. This quote process as well as the reasonable discounted price is what led me to select Platinum Painting for the job. About the job: A 4 man uniformed crew completed the job on the scheduled day. They did a good job independently and I had to point out only one item towards the end that was missed. The foreman Wilson made sure he was with me during the final walk-through and eagerly answered my questions. Cons: One thing I think could use improvement is communication - a proactive reminder a few days before the job for finalizing paint color selection and then providing some samples that would help me confirm my selection. However I'm happy with my selections so no issues. Overall: I would hire Platinum Painting again as the work and cost was as per my expectations.

I highly recommend the team at Platinum Painting. Rod Bohl managed the sales process from estimate to completion with a high level of customer service. Ivan and the paint team worked very quickly and completed the entire project with two coats of paint in two days which was amazing. Ivan was very responsive to my requests, ensured that the workmanship was of the highest quality and that I was completely satisfied. Overall a great experience and I will use Platinum again!

Exterior Painting, replace underpin and some rotting wood.

Tim came and provided an estimate that was the very competitive and offered the best value. Julio and Brian did an excellent job. They were careful not to over spray and clean up afterwards very well. Painting is great. Would hire this company again.

Everything went perfectly! Was great to find a company that specialized in the 2 small projects I had. Kevin was great to work with - understood exactly what I wanted and got both jobs done within 2 weeks at a reasonable price. Everyone was very prompt and friendly and got their work done quickly and cleaned up well after. Great job.
