Platinum Painting and Gutters

Speed of service, courtesy, good communication and responsiveness to issues/concerns was all great. Actual work quality was less than expected. There was an instance of major streaking on one ceiling which was corrected. A new vanity top in a bathroom was scratched up by paint tools and cans. Trim paint lines were not very straight and some overspray/paint got on cabinets, vanity tops, and some small white spaces were not painted at all, Also, some slight splatter on tile in bathrooms.

The gentleman who came out was very good. He walked around the house, told me exactly what needed to be done, and I got the quote back the next day. Platinum Painting Inc are coming next week to do the work.

I am so glad I called Platinum Painting. From Chris, to Jorge, to Victor... I couldn't have been more pleased with the process of estimates, to paint delivery and then work crew. The work crew did an excellent job of painting the exterior and then interior. Clean up was minimal as they were excellent at their job. Chris was great in helping select colors and matching some of the existing trim. Thank you all for such a great experience!

Karl and his crews did an excellent job painting both interior and exterior of our house. We have approximately 3400 SF and Platinum painted all but 3 B/R and some trim on interior and the entire exterior, including doors. The job was completed in 3 days. Karl's team showed up timely each day and was very professional. Their attention to detail was exceptional in prepping the house for painting (covering flooring and furniture, moving furniture, etc), as was the final product. Karl's recommendations on paint color were very helpful in solving some uncertainty. We highly recommend Platinum and would hire them again.

From initial contact with this company to the last painter leaving, this was a positive experience. The salesman, Ben, was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Further, he provided the estimate within the communicated time frame. There were no surprises on the estimate. Everything was included: Materials, labor and moving of "regular" furniture (no breakables!). The crew arrived 10 minutes ahead of their stated start time (8:20 AM vs. 8:30 AM), and since it was raining, the outdoor crew joined them as well. This made a stated three day project compress into one, long day. BONUS!!! During the day, the crew all were very courteous and professional, performing their work with minimal noise. Their attention to detail was apparent, with only one small spot on a wall needing attention on walk through. This was quickly and cheerfully corrected. Further, the salesman, "Ben" visited our home several times during the day to check in on the progress and see if we needed anything. We are very pleased with the professional quality of the work and the efforts of Ben. It was a pleasure to work with this company, and when we ever need painting again, we'll call up Platinum Painting.

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Ben arrived on time then walked through the project with me. Three days before the work began Ben and Julio,the foreman, came again and went over the project with me and wanted to know if I had any question. The day of the painting Julio arrived with a full crew of painters. I had just had a new wood floor put in the week before, so I was concerned about paint getting on the floor. I need not have worried the paint crew did a great job of covering the floor and also covering every entry way. They also fixed a hole in my garage wall, tape and bedding, texturing and painting...cannot even see where the hole was. No money is collected until the job s finished. Also they use quality paint, Sherwin Williams. The painting of my paneling updated the room and looks great. I would highly recommend this company!

I met with Ben, the salesman, regarding a bid on the above work, in preparation of selling my home. The bid was outrageously high, given I wasn't having most of the trim, any interior doors, and only some ceilings painted. I was told that the price might be high, but you get what you pay for. That is not always the case! I had Karl, the owner, show up to go over concerns and I was assured that the job would be fast, painless, and that quality control and customer satisfaction was a must. Work commenced and the outside painting was fast and as expected. However, the inside work became a disaster. The foreman that was suppose to here supervising the painters, was gone half of the time on other jobs. The job supervisor never came around, except to drop off paint. I had repairs to be made in the sheetrock, on walls and ceilings. The texture they applied looked like a glob and was not the same as that which I have. As such, when the painting was complete, and lights on at night, you can see the repair on the ceilings and walls...which looks horrific. I could have done a better job! The master bath that had just been remodeled, required the cabinets to be painted; which were oil based. Oil base was not used, and no prep was done on the cabinets. As such, the paint was tacky for weeks, and now peels off when you scrape it with your body or fingers. I'm going to have to have the cabinets totally sanded down and repainted. Oil base paint will not accept any other paint other than Oil base. One bathroom required that the wallpaper be removed under the old light fixture (24" x 6"), re-textured, and painted. They just sprayed the same glob of texture over the wallpaper (not removing it!) and proceeded to paint. Not only is it an eye soar around the new smaller light fixture, they also didn't paint the walls in a professional manner. I can see the old light color bleeding through the dark color. As for the cabinets in the same bathroom, they painted them with the cabinet doors in place, and closed. When you open them, you can see the old paint around the edges. Moreover, I've been removing paint from towel bars, tile floors, hardwood, window seals, door frames and replacing dozen of light switches, for months. I have attempted to get Karl to return my calls for a couple of months, and to fix my reasonable concerns. I had complained while the work was being conducted. Not one time did he ever come back and do a quality control check, after the job, or sense. He blows off my calls, and now that my house has sold and closes next week, I'm having to hire another painter this week, have them come in and mess up the house, and repaint the foyer ceilings, walls and cabinets in two bathrooms. I'm told it will be about 3-4k and will take 4 days. I close in 7 days! I then will be filing a lawsuit to recover the costs have the work repaired and lawyer and court costs. Are you feeling my pain yet? You'll also notice that most of the paint jobs are a few thousand, or even 5K, but I didn't see any for what I was charged (they must have noticed my Bentley in the garage). I believe they felt I would sell the home and the next owner would have to come along and deal with chipping cabinets and unsightly texture repair and such. However, I won't pay for something I didn't receive, and certainly won't leave it for the buyer to have to sort through. Platinum? I found the color to be more like green and red. Thank God for Angies List and a place where people can leave honest and accurate reviews so others can avoid being ripped off by another contractor. IN RESPONSE TO PLATINUM PAINTING'S RESPONSE: Yes, I paid in full, being told that touch-ups and repairs were always necessary. First, 3 months didn't pass by! More like weeks passed by. It's been less than 3 months from the time I painted, listed home and closed. Your comments about impossible to please everyone is a joke. I just paid $1,500.00 last week to a top rated painting company, who agreed that part of the foyer and ceilings were done in flat and half in eggshell, requiring to paint the entire ceiling over (which worked!). They also agreed that the paint was falling off of all of the cabinets and front door because Plaintinum had painted latex over oil base, without any stripping and/or primer. They also agreed that the old color was bleeding through in rooms and the texture looked terrible. They will be testifying in court and we will let a jury decide if I was just being picky, because I drive a Bentley!

My wife handled the transaction with them and connected with Anthony Gomez, who gave us our quote for everything. He was very professional and the front end and took time to answer her questions. He promised they could get all the work done in one day (which seemed really fast to us given the amount of work there was). However, Their quote was competitive so we decided to go with them. On the day they promised to start, the crew showed up on time bright and early. There were four guys and foreman (which was interesting as Anthony had promised 14 people to be there). Raul was the project foreman and was very friendly and professional. Most of the day was uneventful as they worked on the interior of the house. As the day ended, they had done most of the interior, but had not put the glazing on our family room (the biggest part of the interior job). Anthony started making excuses that the glazing was not included (which was directly against what I had heard him quote my wife and was shown in his quote). He was not remotely professional and threatened to walk off the job or up-charge us for the glazing. The crew tells us that this has happened a few times with him (they were all very nice). My wife is very unhappy with his attitude and he leaves her multiple less than professional messages on her VM. If I had written the review at this point, it would have been very different, but my wife decides to call the owner, Karl, who unlike Anthony, is very professional and immediately apologizes for the way she was treated, offers us a discount for the inconvenience and tell us his crew will show up first thing in the morning to finish all the work (the outside was also not completed yet). At 7:30 as agreed, two full crews show up and our house with a new project lead named Jorge. Jorge was really great, perfect English and attentive to make sure everything was done right. They finished the rest of the work that day as promised and did an excellent job. We have since gotten multiple people asking for the name of our painters as the front door and garage doors look like new. What I would recommend on them is to ask for one of the other three sales people (Chris & Ben are the others I know of) and simply avoid Anthony (my guess is he won't last long as they seem to be really good people otherwise and can't imagine the owner will tolerate it more than a few more times before letting him go). Karl & Marjorie (the owners) are really good people and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, turning what could have been a very unpleasant situation in to a very good one. We would definitely use them again.

Their team of painters came in very precise, remove all switch plate, taped then started painting. They finished in one day. Handpainted and rolled paint on, glad they did not spray. They repaired cracks and some drywall that needed repair also. It was a great experience. Will use again in future provided quote is in my budget at time.

They were terrific! I would definitely hire them again!

Moving out of my home and i had some water damage to my master bedroom ceiling and along one of the walls due to a faulty air conditioner unit from a few months back. I called and spoke to Chris, he was very polite and professional, came over to take a look and offer an estimate both in terms of $ and time and to set a date if i was agreeable. I needed this done right away bc was moving on a sudden job offer in another state. His estimate was very close to another that i had been given a few weeks earlier so i felt good about that, and the reviews spoke for themselves. The problem was he could not get the job done for a few days and i needed it done ASAP. He left for a few mins and returned offering to do the room immediately since the rain that day had meant a postponement to another job his crew was to have been busy with...so that crew came to do my interior painting and in a matter of hours it was done, looking great and as good as new! They protected my furniture, the carpet, doors, etc...and did a great job on the ceiling and walls as had been discussed!

Karl with a K was great! Showed up as scheduled and had a detailed bid that afternoon. Julio and the rest of the guys were very professional, always on time and cleaned up and painted beautifully!! The job was finished in exactly the time Karl said it would take, which was huge for us. I WOULD recommend Platinum Painting in the future!

Every aspect: initial communication, estimate, color selection, site prep, painting, final walkthru & cleanup was conducted in a friendly professional manner. The painting crew was courteous, efficient, and obviously skilled at their work. Included within this project was the painting of my living room fireplace that had an existing painted brick surface. When the new paint was applied to the old surface, the resulting color was not a good match with the color sample I had selected and I mentioned this to the painter. He was very responsive to my concern and informed his crew boss and office. I was immediately contacted by the company and informed that a new batch would be mixed to match the desired color at no additional cost. The painting of the fireplace was completed and the entire job looks fantastic! From the reviews I had read about Platinum Painting, I was expecting an excellent job at a fair price. I feel that they gave me all that and more. I am so pleased with the outcome that I will gladly rccommend this company to all my friends and anyone who is looking pleasant experience with their next painting project.

If you want a company that is professional, highly capable and reasonable in price this is the best. I would highly recommend them to others.

They showed up exactly on time each day. The first day there were a lot of workers, and each was co-ordinated beautifully by their foreman Julio. The base two coats were done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Two more days were spent completing the base painting, making the sheetrock repairs, glazing, and accents. It should be noted here that Julio kept us informed and part of the decision making process the entire time, and their sheetrock repairman was sheer genius. He made the repairs so professionally that they virtually disappeared. Although the ceiling they repaired did not need to be repainted, the repair did. Julio searched through some old paint the former owners left, found the old ceiling paint which was dried up, went out and purchased the same formula, and painted the repair to match existing paint which was more than 5 years old. The result is that the repair is virtually invisible. That is the type of professional service Julio provided throughout every step of the project. And that is topped by the fact that he is a master painter as well. When the job was complete, Julio walked around with us having anything we found fixed on the spot. After they left, upon closer inspection we found several other areas that we weren't quite happy with. We contacted the company and informed them of the same. Anthony came out the same day and walked with me looking at these areas and taking pictures. Julio returned two days later with one other worker, addressed each of the issues, and repaired or repainted them on the spot. He also made several repairs to the glazing which I did not even think was possible. Overall this was a very positive experience. I liked every one of the workers and believe each of them to be very good to excellent painters. Anthony and Julio were consumate professionals who did what they said they would do making the job as close to perfect as possible. And as a final check the Project coordinator Raul periodically checked on the job and called to ensure that the project had been concluded to our satisfaction. A very satisfying project and a beautiful home.

I got a good quote quickly, and they were able to schedule it quickly and complete it in 3 days. The day prior to starting the work, they did a full walk thru and marked everything with blue tape that was to be done, identified paint that was to be used in each area. On start day covered all floors, cabinets, protected trim, took down all the light fixtures in bathrooms, didn't just paint around them, and put everything back. Moved the furniture and covered it well. Covered floor well and protected ladders to insure no damage to the finish of the floors. Cleaned up after everything was done each day to the degree necessary. Did final walk thru on completion although as things were noticed, I mentioned and they were immediately corrected. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs interior or exterior painting.

They were excellent, professional, clean, punctual, and did an over all great job. They were very service oriented, and accommodating. The owner Theresa was very involved in the whole process, communicated well, was timely and made sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Platinum did the job as quoted with punctuality and professionalism. It only took 2-1/2 days and when they left, my home was completely cleaned from debris and the job was beautifully done. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again when needed.

My house is beautiful!!! Every wall and line are perfect. The crew came in and worked long days to finish in 5 days. They left no mess for me and the walk-through produced no touch ups or issues of any kind. I could not be happier.

In november I contacted W2W to get an estimate, Theresa was there 2 or 3 days later and said she could do every thing I wanted and she would send me an estimate, when i received it i was very pleased, i hired her company and scheduled an appointment to work on color choices and she also talked to us about our choices in tile and back splash. she did not start this job until Feb. as i was the general contractor we stayed in touch until i was ready for her crew and she was very patient. the dry wall went up very quickly and the taping was finished the second day, they did all the priming the second day and finished up the painting on day three, i did not mention that the walls have a smooth finish, and i did find issues with some of the walls and wall edges, she worked very hard to resolve the issues and the walls came out great. the crew returned 1 week later to paint the cabinets after the floor and the cabinets were installed i thought this would be a very big job little did i know it would 4 days. Her guys were very conscious of the cabinet flaws and did a great job filling any defects and flaws in the wood. they did a good job taping off the drawer slides as they were very expensive (about $40 a pair). they keep a very clean work area and were very considerate of my house, dog, and my time

W2W was excellent. Their price matched the quotes that we received (or was in the ball park) from other A rated Angie's list companies. W2W helped us select colors, and we are very grateful for their help. Their expertise helped us out get outside of our comfort zone for color selection and we are very pleased with the results. We selected W2W due to their high marks for responsivness. True to form they delivered. Their crew finished the job in one day by working late (1.5 days ahead of estimate). They welcomed us doing a through inspection in the daylight. Once we were complete with our "daylight inspection" we called Theresa with a few areas that needed touched up. They send a small crew and all work was completed within a few hours. Very impressed.

Platinum Painting power washed my cedar fence and stained it. They also stained my front-entry door and painted my rear door. They did an excellent job, and I would highly recommend them.

Karl and his team were fantastic to work with; to start, Karl promptly responded to my inquiry for a quote and provided a detailed estimate and very fair price. Once awarded the work, the team was punctual, professional and friendly. They did everything i asked for and even handled some unforeseen requests i made without impacting timelines or significantly increasing costs. The quality of workmanship was excellent and i intend to use platinum again in the spring to repaint the exterior of my home. Thanks Karl and Happy Holidays!
