Platinum Painting and Gutters

Working with Platinum Painting was a great experience. They came out to the house for the estimate, very knowledgable, we discussed different options and after everything was measured Chris went to his car and provided a printed quote on the spot. The job was expected to be 1-2 days because of the bookshelves however they showed up at 8am with two full crews (approx 3-4 guys per crew) and did it all in one day. The crew did an excellent job, they were very thorough and the paint looks great. There were no additions or hidden fees i paid what was quoted after the job was complete. I will definitely use them again for future painting projects.

Everything went very well. This company does excellent work and strives for the impossible; perfection. Ben Rosenthal was a pleasure to work with and provided a detailed and reasonably priced estimate. He was very knowledgeable and answered our questions in a confident and well informed manner. He knows his business. His crew was experienced and included as many as six at a time to get such a large project done within the seven days that we requested. They protected the newly installed wood floor and got not one speck of paint anywhere. They transformed a weather-beaten front door into an entrance that looked new. The crew removed wall paper from the master room with a steam technique and retextured the walls perfectly before painting them. They repaired nail holes and small defects in the walls and ceiling, going back over areas that were anything less than perfect, even after painting them. Their attention to details and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations.

The company was very responsive in coming out for the estimate and scheduling the job on the day requested. The job was quoted as taking 1 or 2 days. They arrived on time and performed the work well, the ceiling looks great. My only complaint is that the clean up was less than expected, as there were paint spots on the carpet, a few splatters on the wall, lots of dust in the master bath and lots of white popcorn debris left in the driveway. The 2 workers did not finish until 8PM when it was dark outside and I am sure they were very tired. I would have preferred for them to come back on the next day to finish instead of trying to get it all done in one day. I think the clean up would have been better in the day light. I was able to scrap the paint off of the carpet with a razor blade and touch up the walls. My husband cleaned the driveway. With so many paint companies to choose from, little details like this make the difference in whether I will use the company again.

The painting of the interior and exterior of one?s home is a major under taking. I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing of what it takes to do the job. After getting several quotes it came down to two companies I felt comfortable with. Chris the sales rep from Platinum made me feel so at ease. He was not in a hurry. He explained every detail involved with the job, told me what type and brand of paint they'd be using and why things needed to be done in a certain way. After the quote we spent several minutes just talking in general about his life and mine it was wonderful to realize he just wasn't trying to sell me something. The day of the Job the crew manager Victor was so professional and his crew was outstanding and fast. I didn't see one drop of paint where it shouldn't have been. The inside and outside of my home looks fantastic. They were not the cheapest but I feel I made the correct choice and I'd recommend them to anyone even my mother.

Platinum is A+ all the way. Anthony Gomez is the person who gave us a quote. He was on time at his appointment and did a thorough job with the estimate, very friendly and open about the entire process. He recommended that we have a person review the guttering due to the wood rot and where it was, he also recommended another contractor on Angie's list called A1 Aluminum for the guttering. I'll review that company seperately however it's important to note that these companies worked very well together in concert. A1 came and removed the old gutter the day before Platinum came out to powerwash and treat for mold and mildew. Platinum came promptly after cleaning and started repairing rotten wood. They did more than originally quoted! After the wood repair they did a first rate painting job in 2 days with no over spray and no mess. We were impressed and we'll use them again.

Everything went great! Eddie came out for the estimate and was very helpful. Some additional items came up after we scheduled, and he was very willing to accommodate us. They removed wallpaper, retextured the walls, repaired sheetrock from backsplash tear out, and added window sills to two windows. They also painted all of our kitchen cabinets, as well as the kitchen and family room walls. I couldn't have asked for more professional and friendly crews. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I will not hesitate to use them again.

Did a fantastic job. Very professional and prompt. Anthony came to our property give us a quote on the spot, unlike other companies who I had to fight to get a response, and was able to fit us in the schedule within a week. The project coordinator Raul and the foreman Orlando were on time at the start and we able to get the job completed a day early the anticipated. Looking at the price it about average to the other companies but after having the job completed I feel like I got a steal. Will definitely use them again

Excellent experience. Ben and Jorge were courteous, professional and prompt. Their painting team did an excellent job of painting, and cleaning up afterwards.

They did a wonderful job! They were scheduled to begin the work on Monday, October 14th and Ben brought paint samples by on Friday, the 11th and spent time going over all the details. They arrived on time on Monday and were ready to work. The team was so respectful of our home as well as my husband and myself. When it came time to start the glazing process, Robert was very patient as we worked to get it the way I wanted as I had selected a darker glaze on Friday but changed my mind when they showed me the sample on Wednesday. Jorge checked in on the process with the crew and to make sure we were satisfied with the progress of the work. They cleaned up thoroughly after they were done and never left a mess. The work was completed on time, October 17th. I really can't say enough nice things about the crew as this was a lot of work given the amount of cabinetry in our kitchen and family room. The finished job is just beautiful! I would recommend them highly (and actually have,to my brother). We will certainly use them again in the future.

We had a full crew of 8 guys that knocked out 2000 sq feet in one day. Overall they did a great job, but some paint did get on unintended targets, even though most everything was covered in plastic.

They did a fantastic paint job! Clean with absolutely no paint drippings anywhere...& no paint on my new tile when they had to do the baseboards. They arrived on time, took one day & cleaned up nicely. Will recommend them to anyone who wants a quality paint job completed. If I need anything painted in the future I will go with them.

Platinum painting provided superior service! I have two story ceilings and had a tape/drywall crack needing repair. They used plastic sheeting to protect the rest of my home, were neat and tidy and extremely helpful. They painted my daughters bedroom with a dark blue color. The paint lines are perfect where is butts up to the contrast color. What a professional company!!! Will use them everytime I need painting!!!

These guys are amazing to work with! The salesperson was very professional and gave us a fair quote. The project manager came out and explained the job in detail and made sure all my questions were answered. The painting crew did an amazing job! They stained our badly weathered front door, painted the entire house, and retextured and painted a water stain section in our bathroom. I could not be happier with the work they did. I will definitely hire them again!

Reasonable price. Arrived on time. Completed the work as agreed and did an excellent job. They matched the texturing in my ceiling almost perfectly. Their workmen were professional and courteous.

My wife met with three or four people for quotes. When she met with Anthony, she said he was the best listener and felt comfortable entrusting the job to Platinum Painting. I met with Anthony to do a walk-through before the job started. As my wife can attest, I am very particular. We had the kitchen done at our last place by two different companies and were not overly pleased with either. I shared my biggest concerns about the project. Anthony assured me they would do what it takes to make everything look the way I envisioned it. In the kitchen - wood and wallpaper removed, walls textured and painted, windowsills replaced, baseboards added, as well as some wood refinishing were necessary. In the bedroom ? walls painted. On project day, an ARMY OF MEN showed up, on time, as scheduled. They worked fast! The wood was gone in no time. As they started to remove the wallpaper, they discovered two additional wallpapers underneath. They worked their butts off for two days to get it all. When it was time to texture, they put up samples of what I was looking for. It?s hard to describe a pattern, but they came really close. Before painting, I inspected and noted areas I wanted to change. NO PROBLEM! After the made the changes I did another inspection. We were ready to paint! Before they painted the entire room, I asked them to paint a wall first to ensure the color would work. NO PROBLEM! It looked great! As they removed the wood on the walls, we discovered the gap between the tile and the walls was large. They suggested adding baseboard, not just quarter round. Fabulous suggestion; it looks FANTASTIC! In the bedroom, the walls looked so great, we asked them to paint the ceiling too. NO PROBLEM! While doing the final inspection, again I am particular; they immediately touched up any area I noted. Throughout the entire process the Project Coordinator Raul was responsive; call or text, day or night. Louis, the foreman, was there every morning. I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor. We made a number of changes during the four days this took place. Each time, they met our expectations. Based on how well this job went, we plan to use them again!

Though I was very excited to work with Platinum based on the many positive reviews on Angie's List, I was disappointed when they called me back to cancel my appointment because they do not work in the city of Dallas south of 635. Make sure you confirm that they serve your geographic area before agreeing on an appointment time with them.

The Platinum Painting team are true professionals that pride themselves in quality. I was first impressed that I received a competitive bid at the time of our first meeting; they didn't make me wait like all of the others. Once I received quotes from other contractors we reviewed them and decided to choose Platinum Painting as their professionalism was unmatched. I was on schedule within 6 days. Anthony said that it would only take one day to complete & I thought he was nuts since this was a big job. But, 4 guys showed up as scheduled as knocked it out in one day. It is amazing how new your house can look with white & shiny trim.

We highly recommend Platinum Painting!! If you want professionals this is the company to go with. We were VERY HAPPY with the work that Platinum Painting did for us. We needed the entire interior of the house painted. Ben came out to do the estimate. He was punctual, through and very available during the process. Even though the house is 2200 Sq. ft. the entire job was done in one day. Raul was our contact person for the job and checked in with us several times during the day. Ben also was there to start the day off making sure all were on the same page. Orlando headed up the crew of about 7 including Jose and Milton. This team worked together like clockwork. They showed up on time and each set to work with their own task. Areas were securely taped and covered with plastic which meant we didn't have paint on anything we didn't want painted. And yes they did finish the job in one day. Shortly afterward we had new carpeting installed. The installers left quite a few marks but Orlando returned and did touch-ups. Thank you Platinum Painting for doing a beautiful job and making it a painless process for us. We wish all contractors were as professional as you are.

Karl and his crew (especially Edwin on Wilbur's team) did an absolutely fantastic job!! This was a large scale project, involving scraping off existing skip trowel texture throughout my whole house, making all walls and ceiling smooth, then prime/paint everything. As I have come to realize, this was also a fairly unusual project since most homes in TX are painted with some sort of texture, as oppose to smooth flat surface. My wife and I are very happy with the end result, and glad that we went with Platinum Painting for the job. Karl went above and beyond in making sure that the job was done right and that we were fully satisfied. I have included a detailed review below. But in summary, I'd like to say Platinum Painting did an excellent job. Karl knows how to run a business... he is fair, honest, professional, customer-focused, and takes great pride in delivering high quality work. I consider myself extremely detailed, and Platinum Painting managed to exceed my expectation. They might not be the cheapest out there, but if you're looking for quality work and professionalism, this is the company for you. QUOTING PROCESS Karl arrived right on time to review the project and give me a quote. Right from the start, he was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Whereas other vendors took at least 1-2 days to give me a quote, Karl gave me a quote on the spot. He went room by room, taking measurements with a laser pointer. He was able to input all this info into his computer within minutes and showed me a spreadsheet with a detailed quote for each room and project. Truly amazing. None of the other 5 vendors I contacted were able to do this. PROJECT SETUP / PREP The crew arrived first day at 8am as promised. All floors, trims, and counters were thoroughly covered and taped. They quickly and efficiently setup everything. I was impressed with the speed and coordination of the 13 member crew. WORK & COMMUNICATION The crew members for the most part were courteous, hard working, and skilled. I could tell certain members were more experienced than others. Edwin, in particular, stood out as an exceptional texture master and painter. At one point, I had raised an issue with Karl and the foreman, Wilbur regarding the unevenness of the rounded (bull-nosed) corners when the mud was applied. Edwin took the initiative to devise a special tool that helped apply mud evenly on all the rounded edges. He really saved the day. Throughout the entire project, I was in constant contact with Karl and crew. There was at least 1 English speaking team member at my house at all times. QUALITY CONTROL If there is one thing I could change about this project, it would be to have the foreman here at all times to review the crew's work as they progressed throughout the day. However, I understand that my project was placed on Karl's lap on such a short notice. I had a tight timeline to move into the house, and Karl had to fit my project into his company's busy schedule to make it work. As a result, the foreman (Wilbur) that was assigned to me had other projects going on at the same time. Karl told me this even before the project began, so I understand it's not their fault. It helped that I took time off work during the length of this project, so I was around most of the days to review the progress and quality. The crew members were very responsive to my requests to redo or touch up problematic areas. In the end, I was very happy with the quality of their work. CLEAN-UP The crew did a good job cleaning up after the project was completed. There was much less dust than I had imagined. They vacuumed my floors / counters, wiped away excess paint and dust. No garbage were left behind. FOLLOW-UP As with any large projects, there are bound to be a few spots that were missed and will need some additional touch-up. I have not contacted Karl yet about this, but given their reputation, I have no doubt that Platinum Painting will stand by their warranty policy. I will add to this review later, once I contact the company regarding warranty work.

Estimator Chris, highly knowledgeable, very professional, estimate completed quickly, accurately and provided in writing. Price was not the lowest of four bids acquired but professional knowledge of estimator and understanding of the objective made the choice obvious. Schedule I required due to my employment scheduling was met without problem, crew arrived on time, deployed and worked very quickly/efficiently. Project completed on time, on budget in a very professional manner. Cleanup was done quickly and completely. Very highly satisfied, will use again, and highly recommend, especially if you have a slightly unusual job or require a very professional end result. This company does something slightly unusual for small residential jobs in my experience anyway, they have a "Quality Control" type of manager that comes around to check on the setup of each job and the terms of the contract to insure that all parties are on the same page, and that the work expected by the customer matches what the paint crew understands from the job order. Very nice touch.
