Platinum Painting and Gutters

They came out and gave us an estimate for a thousand dollars. It was too expensive so we decided not to go with them. We had a family member do it instead for half the cost. This was about a week ago. They were nice, they looked at everything and offered me advice on some parts of the house that might need to be replaced- for example a piece of wood. The advice that they gave was good and professional but we decided not to go with them. If I needed somebody again I would use them.

The initial contact was positive the quote was emailed to me in a timely manner. On the day the work was scheduled to start ,the crew arrived as planned at 7am and work immediately began ,I received a call from Raul (PP) at 12.30pm to say that the work was complete and I should return home to do a walk through. When I arrived home I was less that satisfied with some aspects of the job ,the forman accepted my criticism and rectified most things but some items ( caulking garage door surround ,paint spots on tile floor ) were missed because I didn't notice till after the crew had left. The job was not what I expected from such a highly rated firm, my home is new (less than 16 months old) I had repaired a couple of cosmetic cracks in the crown molding and decided to add a fresh coat of paint to keep it looking bright . I feel that this was probably a small job for PP and felt that it had been rushed with little attention to detail ,I had high hopes when I hired Platinum Painting because of their great reviews but I was unhappy with the result and will not hire them again .

I am going to be as fair as possible, while being truthful about my experience. Platinum Painting was/is highly rated on Angie's List and I selected them based largely on that, along with their estimate and my initial impression of them. Eddie was very gracious and professional when we met to consult on the work. He was a bit abrupt with me, however, when I encountered some problems with the job. Let me be clear; the finished product is beautiful. The overall job was well done. My issues are about other actions, which impacted my overall impression of the company. Specifically, there were promises made about completion dates/times that may have been overly amibitous. When I did my final walk-through, painting was still going on. A final walk-through, to me, means that everything is done. I arrived late in the day and painters were still working on my exterior doors, when I was told four hours earlier that this work was almost done. I met the project manager one time and never saw him again. He texted me, but I would have liked him to be available for my walk-through. The person I met with was courteous, but the language barrier was significant. Other issues include; a rag soaked with turpentine was left on the floor of my bedroom overnight, on my newly refinished hardwood floors. I was told that I would have to replace drawers, which were not dry yet. I would also have to replace other fixtures that were removed, because surfaces were not dry yet. For the amount I paid, I did not think this appropriate. A shower curtain was taken off and thrown in the bathtub, along with the rod and paint was tracked in various spots through the house. Shelving in my closets was removed and just thrown back up incorrectly. They did send someone to my home the next day to clean up andjust things, but it hampered my ability to move on to other projects. I expected someone to follow up with me afterward to be sure things were right, but they never did. All in all, great finished product, but getting there was very stressful for me. I would not be motivated to recommend the company.

Karl and Anthony came to give us an estimate. They arrived on time and were very professional. After about a week, and after finding a few additional items that needed to be included in the estimate, we agreed on the price and scheduled the job. We were very difficult to work with, as we did not want the kids to be home and exposed to the paint/vapors, so scheduling was difficult. They were VERY accommodating to our schedule, and even agreed to work only during the morning and early afternoon, while the kids were at school. This caused the job to take 3 days instead of only 2, but they were more than accommodating and did not charge us more for that service. The day the job started, the guys arrived on time and began prepping for the job. We were very impressed with the detail to which they covered hardwood floors, baseboards etc. They worked in a quiet, clean manner and cleaned up EACH day before leaving. The job was completed on time, and we are VERY happy with the results. We highly recommend Platinum Painting to anyone needing a painting company. KH

If you?re searching for a company you can trust to do an excellent job painting your home and at a fair price, then search no more. I found that company in Platinum Painting. I?m taking the time to write this very detailed review, as I was that impressed and pleased with the quality of the work done in my home and with my contact with each of the employees, contractors, and owner at Platinum Painting. Why Platinum? The deciding factors and why I chose Platinum after receiving several bids are: 1) reputation of quality work, customer reviews, 2) price, 3) responsiveness and thoroughness in the bidding process, 4) availability to do the job when I needed it done, 5) and the $100 credit toward a color consultant (with so many open areas in my home I knew I needed help with color selection!) Overall: Grade: A+ Price: Their price was very reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent. So for me that equated to a great value, a wise choice in painters, a beautiful end result, and a very happy customer. Quality: It?s not my nature to give high marks or evaluations that aren?t earned. Platinum earned an ?A+? in the quality of the work performed. I can?t say enough about how pleased I am with the end result, particularly since this was not a simple job. Some areas required two coats of paint, as I was a little too aggressive in my large swatches of testing different paint colors. Ben provided the job estimate and took great care in understanding what I wanted done in each room so the estimate would be complete and accurate. For example, he explained the pros and cons of light vs dark colors, types of paint that would look the best and best conceal imperfections in my walls and ceilings, length of job, etc. Even though it was a weeklong job and involved all but two rooms, I opted to stay in my home with my dogs during the process. Karl wanted to make sure I understood how disruptive it would be with work being done in multiple rooms throughout my home each day which was very helpful. He also asked his team to be as accommodating as possible while still working efficiently. They did and it was much appreciated. Once the job started, Jorge was the project coordinator and on top of the project every step of the way. He came by daily to check on the overall progress, answer questions, and ensure I was pleased with how the work was going. He was very thorough and detailed which I appreciated. Victor was the crew/team leader. There were 3-5 guys on site each day. I was home the entire time and observed each of the crew members doing their individual tasks from removing wall paper, texturing, painting ceilings and trim, etc. I felt each of the crew was very attentive to their task and took care to ensure a quality job and my home and belongings were properly protected. Responsiveness: Everyone was prompt and responsive to my requests, questions, etc. This is another area that I was pleasantly surprised when compared to my past experience with other companies. Punctuality Ben was punctual in arriving to provide the initial estimate. And, once I chose Platinum to do the work (it was a 5 day job) - Victor and his crew were on time or a few minutes early every single day. I?ve had several multi-day projects done in my home over the last few years and this is the first time I?ve experienced consistent punctuality. Professionalism: The owner?s pride and commitment to his business in the form of providing high quality work and great customer service was evident not only in Karl, (owner) but the same commitment was also evident in each of his employees as well. I notice things like that and prefer to do business with companies that have high standards and expectations of the service they provide ? it matches my own and is what most customers are looking for. Platinum Painting went above and beyond in every aspect of the job and in the level of customer service they provided. I have already recommended them to my friends, and they are definitely my painter of choice in the future.

VThe job went very well, though there was a little bit of language problem. Most of the crew was Spanish and spoke little English. Still, crew arrived promptly (8 AM) on the appointed day, at the appointed hour, moved the heavy stuff out of the way, laid protective coverying over the furniture and appliances, put a taped down layer of heavy paper to protect our hardwood floors from front door to bedroom, removed drapes and ventian blinds, and got to work. By about 2 PM that afternoon, both rooms were stripped of all wallpaper, the bathroom walls were retextured, and the master bedroom was complete -- paper stripped, walls retextured, ceiling and walls painted. A somewhat smaller crew returned the next day (8 AM) and completed painting the master bathroom walls and ceiling. They then mounted the new blinds we'd purchased and returned the furniture to its proper places. As on the previous day, they cleaned up thoroughly upon completion and were done before noon of that day. For a somewhat major project, it went very smoothly and very quickl (estimated two days to complete & actually took about 1 1/2 days), and were even able to sleep in the master after both days! Have an estimate from them for refinishing our kitchen cabinets (oak) and will definitely hire them for that in the near future.

I scheduled a quote with Ben. He arrived on time and walked around the house with me. He pointed out that the boards along the garage would need to be replaced due to rot. He printed an estimate for the exterior painting from his car. They power washed the outside of the house and came to paint the next day. The crew worked very quickly and the job site was very clean. After the job was complete, the project manager Jorge walked me around the house to make sure that I did not see any areas that needed touch ups or that I did not like. They left the extra paint with me in case I need it in the future. I would definitely use Platinum Painting again in the future.

They painted the master bedroom, trim and all and was done wonderfully!!! The master bath had issues from a recent paint and covering of wallpaper with plaster. They 'sealed' and repainted the walls. Looks awesome now. They also had to fix a small section of ceiling in another bath, they were able to patch and match texture so they only had to repaint a small section. Overall they were very professional, did great work ,very clean and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

The owner and his scheduler were great--prompt callbacks, great advice with paint choices, reasonable estimate. We felt we had found a great painting company. But the actual painting and follow through were less than stellar. Multiple drips on the floor, the crew had loud music playing while they were working in the house (not a big deal if we weren't home, but I was working in the home office), and rested a wet paint roller on top of our couch that was only covered by flimsy plastic (I had to ask them to move it and they seemed put out). In addition, an employee of the company stopped by midway through the job to "see how things were going" but really wanted to know if I could go ahead and pay him the balance right now (before the job was completed) and put a platinum painting sign in our yard for 30 days. He also walked right by all the drips and the paint roller sitting on the couch so clearly he wasn't too concerned with the quality. I am ok with a sign in the yard while they are working on the project, but give me a break! I guess it boils down to what particular crew they send to your project, maybe they've got really good ones, but we weren't so lucky. It seems as though this company has grown very quickly and maybe they need to do more quality checks on their service. Will not use again.

We had an initial consultation with Anthony in March. We planned a 3 day period in mid-April to allow for all the painting that we wished to have, along with the re-staining of our front door. The fist day, a large crew arrived. Raul and Anthony both checked in during the day. They made a huge amount of progress and returned for the second day. The painters were top notch and cleaned up the areas after they were done. We had a final walk through with the onsite leader, Luis, and he fixed any remaining situations (mainly small holes needing patches and repaint, etc.). The entire experience was smooth from initial consultation through the end of the job. A smaller crew came back the third day for a few hours to refinish the front door (stained and a couple coats of varnish). I would highly recommend - their prices are very reasonable and quality very high.

Everything was great. They showed up on time, finished on time and came back for a third coat on the cabinets in the laundry (showing up on time and finishing on time again). We have already recommended them to friends.

They were very good. They were not the cheapest bid that we got. But I liked the company the best.

They were quick courteous and did an outstanding job. I will use them for any other painting I need done in the future. Great price as well!

If you use Platinum Painting give them plenty of notice as they are quite busy and are booked up well in to the future. Note that they may not be able to finish up in one round, they may have to return at a later date to finish up or do additional requested work.

They did a great job. I picked them for the price, good reviews, and they ended up doing a great job. They cleaned up and looked beautiful. They also helped in the painting selection, were very professional, on time, on budget, and it was reallywhat we wanted.

We are truly pleased and overwhelmed with the incredible work that Platinum Painting?s crew did on our house. We needed some big help and they delivered in spades at amazing speed and efficiency. They repaired some cracks in the 22? ceiling and in other areas, then textured and painted those areas as well as some other rooms and ceilings. The house looks brand new!! What was originally thought to take 3-4 days only took 2 days, and it was a BIG job!! One day for repairing and texturing, and the next day was all painting and finishing up. While we were told by foundation experts that beams needed to be installed to prevent further cracks on our ceiling, the Platinum Painting crew did some exploration and discovered that the issue was not properly secured sheetrock along a tape joint. They fixed the issue for A LOT less money than the unnecessary foundation repair. Ben, Luis and the rest of the crew were incredible. They were very organized and professional. They told us what to expect and over-delivered! We will recommend Platinum Painting to anyone and definitely use them again if the need arises. Well Done!!

Highly recommend. They were responsive and punctual from the start. Always on time if not a few minutes early, and respectful of my time. Anthony ( did the bid) was impressive with his knowledge and suggestions, and came back the day of the job to make sure the crew doing the work was was in sync with the bid and what was actually being done. I felt confident that everyone involved was in touch with the scope and details of the project. They did a fantastic job of repairing another company's less than sightly work, and we were very satisfied with the finished product. In the final walk through there were a couple of things we were not satisfied with and they never batted an eye. The came back at my convenience to correct and finish the work and accepted payment at that point. Raul and Christian were all great to work with also. I felt very comfortable with their crew in our house.

I am so very pleased with the entire service performed by Platinum Painting, from Chris,(the estimator) right down to all the members of the crew. The company painted the complete interior of my home along with the garage and I am thrilled with the excellent work and attention to detail. The crew arrived on time every day and were very professional and careful while completing the work, they were also quite thorough in cleaning up the area upon completion. I would and will recommend this company to everyone. This company is the best I've seen, Thank you Platinum Painting!!

Eddie the estimator was prompt, thorough, and was sure to answer all my questions and even provide his professional opinion when solicited. My job was scheduled quickly and efficiently. Raul was the on-site manager of the job, which was completed to my great satisfaction. The work was thorough, the crew cleaned up after themselves, and they even went above and beyond to get matching paint of a room that was out of scope to help me do touch ups. I am very pleased with the result. Platinum Painting treated me and my home with the utmost respect and professionalism.

The home was painted very well. Walls ceilings were excellent. there were a few issues with trim but after calling they were fixed very quickly and very professionally They beat the price of another painting company by 3000 dollars. I own a design company and will continue to recommend Platinum painting to my clients.

Eddie came out and gave me a bid for my project along with some greats tips on what would work best for what I needed done. I had checked with two other companies and Platinum gave us the best price. The crew led by Edgar showed up on time and were very efficient in the work that needed to be done. The project had been estimated to take 2 days, but because of my choice of using 2 colors in my kitchen, Edgar explained it would actually take 4 days. They did an awesome job and explained at the end of each day what they had done and what would take place the next day. End project was beautiful. The crew cleaned up each day and were very meticulous in the final clean-up to make sure that my newly painted walls were not damaged when they removed the tape holding the plastic to keep dust out. I would definitely use them again and reccommend to family and friends.

They painted my old townhome prior to selling, and their price was fair. They also painting my new home, and did a fine job. The price may be high because after watching them work, there's a lot of overhead with this company. They also subcontract the work out to other workers, and you will need to deal directly with the subcontractors if there's an issue after the job was done.

We spoke to Ben at Platinum Painting and he came to get the measurements and give estimate. Ben, Jorge and their team were at my house 7am sharp as scheduled and I was surprised to see that the whole job was done in 8 hours...yes, I have a 4 bed and 2.5 bath & everything was done in one day only. Very happy with results, I got what I expected and I will highly recommend Platinum Painting.

Platinum was one of three quotes I obtained for the work. The other quotes were from individual painters. All of the estimates were very reasonable and all of the contractors explained the work to be done very similarly. I chose Platinum because they were big enough to carry insurance, but I really didn't expect them to do quite as good a job as the individual painters. I was wrong. My crew was Edgar, Osiel and John, and I cannot imagine that any individual painter could have done anything better. In my opinion they did an outstanding job and are assets to Platinum. To begin with, they insisted on removing the wallpaper, a job I thought was not worth the time on my 1978 walls. Wrong again. They removed every piece of 3 wallpapers down to the original bare walls. They said it would be best to do the job correctly right from the start. The finished textured walls look beautiful and are just what I had envisioned. The beadboard wainscoting looks as though we had a woodworker come in and do the work. On completion, the crew cleaned up so well the area looked like they hadn't even been there. The crew worked diligently and quietly and were a pleasure to have in our home. I also liked that the crew arrived in Platinum Painting trucks rather than the unmarked personal trucks which so many contractors use, and they wore company logo shirts. Just looks more professional and reassuring. My estimator Chris was very friendly and likeable yet also obviously an experienced professional in the painting field. Actually, my original estimate appointment did not take place because of a Platinum office mix-up, but they handled that professionally and politely, and we rescheduled. Just shows that everyone has occasional mix-ups and if handled well the customer will understand and move forward.

They did quality work in a short period of time.
