Platinum Painting and Gutters

First of all, we went through this process 2 years ago and it took us to this point to go back through the process because of all the headaches encountered with another contractor who could get things done right. When we began our search for a Flooring specialist, they highly recommended Platinum paint and after you read our experience you will know why. Ben was our sales representative and was there on time and gave us a good bid on the project. We picked a date for the start of the project and the crew of 10, yes 10 workers, were there on-time! We have never experienced any contractor in the past that ever was there on-time. So, that was a great start to the project. The crew came in and began covering our hardwood floors and stairs with paper and taped it off very well. They also laid a canvas drop cloth over our entire stone sidewalk to our home. Since they were working upstairs, the also covered any area that they would be walking on. This was an incredible experience to have some one care that much about the stuff we care about and want protected. They proceeded to then tape every inch of base boards and then laid plastic that would then be attached to the tape for complete coverage of the floor. Because we could not move all of our furniture into our media room, which was not getting updated yet, we had a good bit of furniture that need to be covered. The totally encapsulated our furniture in plastic and then taped it down the the plastic on the floor to provide a excellent seal from the dust and paint. This was way above my expectation and my wife was so thrilled about how they protected our furniture. In the past, most contractors had only placed a plastic drop cloth over our stuff, which still allowed dust to cover our furniture and on occasion have paint splash on them. They were able to finish in two and half days, which was quick for the amount of work that needed to be done. The site manager was always there and found issues and defects prior to my walk- thru. They took the time to redo ceilings texture that was not perfect. Attention to detail was amazing. After they were complete and cleaned up very nicely. They did come back to paint the base boards after the flooring was installed and do touch ups and they gave me a time and they were there on-time once again! What really shocked me was how much attention to detail, which I am very detailed oriented person, and only found 5 or 6 places they need to touch up. WOW!!! Ben and the Project Manager, Ivan, were always responsive to questions and concerns and took care of everything we asked without me having to continually call them! If you want a company that cares about the customer and their property and does a very high level of quality work, choose Platinum Painting for your next project!

Great crew, on time, detailed, great job.

We took 3 bids. We were looking for the best value and not just the best price. We called Southern and Stephens as well but Platinum blew them both out of the water. Karl came out and had the best plan of action and was decisive and extremely knowledgeable. Julio the foreman was a super nice guy and has an eye for detail. In the end we chose Platinum because of Karl. The fact that he was also several thousand dollars cheaper was a bonus. After having it done, everyone keeps asking who we used. It turns out Platinum painting has worked for several people we know and they all loved them too. Great price, great owner, great service. I'm actually happy to write this review. Good companies are hard to find. Oh...also we live in Mansfield. Don't worry about the fact they are in Keller. They cover the whole metroplex.

We used him because of what we read about him on Angie’s List. It wasn’t a small task. Price-wise, everybody was in the same ballpark of that quality. It was very good quality work. What impressed me the most was the speed, quality, thoroughness and cleanliness. In the area they were working, it was a mess as it should be because they were sanding and doing other things but they had it so walled off, that the rest of the house was not touched. When they were done, it was like immaculate. It was very good. It looked like we got a new room when they were done.

Job started on time. Finished on time. People are responsive. There was little communication problem with project manager. Owner himself got involved and resolved the issue to our satisfaction.

They did a fantastic job, and I've recommended them to everyone! They were very professional, and a bundle of knowledge. They recommended a great handyman to me, and were very accommodating.

They're very professional. They responded right away. They always pick up the phone when I call them. I think they're a top-notch company. They just seem to really know what they're talking about. I am confident that they will do a good job.

Chris & Rene were totally professional and were easy to work with . They have a great crew . There was one project manager who had no communication skills , but Rene quickly took care of that problem . Their work was very good and I was pleased with the project .

My house hadn't been painted in 17 years. They took down the wallpaper and repainted the entire house. They were very polite. Overall, we were happy we went with them.

After reading reviews, I contacted the company for an estimate to do drywall repairs and some painting. I was contacted within two days and an appointment was set. Platinum representative Anthony called 10-15 minutes before arrival to let me know he was almost at my home and he arrived on time. He was very attentive and appeared to be very professional. He listened well and appeared to take good notes. My request was two part, one for the insurance company to pay and the other I would pay. Insurance was to pay for all drywall and paint repairs in my dining room from rain damage as well as a small area in the family room. Insurance agreed to pay for paint for the total ceiling in the family room. My piano room had some small drywall damage that insurance would cover as well as paint the complete ceiling. This was gone over with the Anthony in great detail and he was also offered a copy of the insurance company's bid so that everything would be accurate for the insurance company's part and for my part. My part was to consist of paying to repair additional ceiling drywall from settling in my kitchen, family room, master bath and piano room. I did ask for an estimate to paint the kitchen ceiling and the master bath but informed owner that I might paint myself because after all work was completed I was going to paint all of the inside of the house myself. I did tell him I would want him to paint the higher ceiling in the master bath. After receiving the estimates I decided on using Platinum for this project and agreed that I would paint my kitchen ceiling but did agree for them to paint the master bath. They were outstanding! The workers were all very considerate and polite and did an outstanding job. I am considering having them back to do a couple of rooms that have the taller ceilings. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them to a General Contractor friend to use in his business. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did an excellent job!! They were on time for the estimate, the first day of work (power washed the house) and the second day to complete the job. Everyone was very professional and polite. Chris walked me through his recommendations; several included ways for me to save money. I found this incredibly helpful. They had a break in their schedule so they were able to start and finish the job that week. I will be calling them again!!

The man I called told me he wouldn't honor the deal for me or tell me how much extra the work would be after purchasing the deal. He had given me a quote in the past before I joined Angie's List for $3.725. When I called the man on the phone he had an attitude and told me that it would be the same price and nothing has changed. He now refuses to do the job because I wanted to think about it and get the best quote before choosing who to go with. He was ready to bring a crew out on Monday and do the job, he became a lot less friendly after I decided to get more bids before choosing my painter.

Platinum did an awesome job, they arrived on time, talked me through the process, they dressed professionally. They brought eight workers and the work was completed ahead of schedule. I have not seen any paint drippings on my house and they have offered to come back at anytime if I find something that needs a touch up. Would definitely reccomend to my friends.

My wife and I started painting the bedrooms of our house. After two rooms, we realized that painting the common areas would take us the better part of a month at the rate we were going. We saw great reviews of Platinum Painting so we gave them a call. Our free initial consultation was great. Eddie quickly measured the area to be painted and provided excellent guidance on colors. Initially, we'd planned to just go with a single color throughout, including ceilings, and Eddie suggested a different color for the ceiling and our entryway accent. We weren't sure if we wanted JUST the common areas or all remaining areas of the house that had yet to be painted. Eddie provided detailed quotes so that we could make an informed decision. We left that consultation with clear expectations and confident in our choice of providers. The work team came out on the scheduled day and, prior to starting, the project manager provided some initial consultation. Our ceilings in some rooms have two edges - one above and below a 2' section that slopes down to the outer wall. We thought we wanted to just paint the ceiling color to the higher line. The project manager emphatically recommended going to the lower wall. He provided a variety of sound reasons and put us at ease with that last minute change. The team went to work and finished ahead of schedule. The quality of the work is fantastic. Their lines are clean at all points, which is remarkable considering the texture and curvature in our walls. The only downside that I saw was a slight rush by one of the painters at the end of the work (not the lead, Roberto, who continued to deliver amazing attention to detail down to the last minute). As they wrapped up our hallway, there were two spots where they applied excessive paint. I took a brush and smoothed those spots out. Additionally, when moving our coffee table back into place, they apparently had some paint on their hands and got a bit on the edge of the table. Unfortunately, we didn't notice until a few days after the fact. Still, they were vastly better than we would have been painting ourselves and they completed everything in less than two days so we get to just enjoy the results!

We used Platinum Painting to remove wallpaper, texture and paint 2 1/2 bathrooms in our home. They were the quickest to respond and the least expensive (about 2/3 the price of the next highest). We were pleased with all of the staff. My wife was home with the workers and kids with the painters. They always felt comfortable. They did a great job!

Fantastic work! Great prices and very courteous managers and crew!!! Absolute recommendation over anyone else. If you have small repairs and painting all the way to painting your whole house. Awesome awesome job!!!

They were great to work with. Everything was done when they said it would be. I was surprised that it only took until 3 PM - one day (except power washing beforehand). Raul was good to work with. Supervisors checked throughout the day to make sure things were going well. Cleaned up well after the work also.

They did a great job. I would use them again. They did a superb paint job and all of the workers had a superb attitude. Four guys came and they were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. I feel they are the best paint company in this area. They replaced a lot of rotted wood that I did not know was rotted. This company was a lot cheaper and they included the paint in the price. They even left a gallon of spare paint. They guarantee the work for two years which I thought was very impressive. They followed-up a couple days later as well and that was great.

Absolutely a top-notch company. Anthony gave a very detailed bid, he also sent revisions quickly, and was great about answering all our questions. We had the work done the same time as neighbors and it looked like fire ants had attacked our house there sere so many people working! The crew(s) were so professional; after every day of work the sites were cleaned up, equipment was neatly stored away, no trash was left behind. Every day a supervisor checked in with us to see if we were happy with the work. The house looks like new, they did such a tremendous job detailing the door, no splatters on windows or brick. It was the best experience we have ever had with a painting company.

They did an excellent job. Chris was my project manager and the one who came out to give me the quote. He arrived on time and was very professional. He even told me about contacting my home owner's association for approval of colors, which I wouldn't have known or thought about. The paint job was excellent and they walked me through afterwards to see if any areas needed to be touched up. My house looks so much better now!. There were a few splashes of paint on my shrubs in the front but they are barely noticeable. I actually didn't notice them until my Dad came o visit this weekend and pointed it out. I would definitely use them again to paint the interiror of the house.

I needed two bedrooms painted quickly and reasonably priced. They were on time and completed the work when they said they would. The quality of their work was excellent and the cost was reasonable.

They contact me when they say they will, they show up on time, and they do a really good job.

This was the worst painting experience I have had. Our job was supposed to take 1 to 2 days (most likely 1.5 was what I was told), but the first day lasted from 8am-9:30pm at night and then they were "done". The job was rushed, and was completely pitiful. Our banister and spindles looked like a child painted all over it; it was streaked, missing paint all over, it had drips and there was paint covering all of the hardware underneath the handrails. They smeared oil paint fingerprints all over our front door handles. The ceiling only received one coat of paint and it clearly needed 2. There was oil paint on 6 spots on my carpet, 1 of which they tried to scrub up and left a discolored stain. Most of the trim was sloppy and missing paint on all of the corners, and underneath and along the sides. There were thin lines all the way around the trim where they painted it up on the wall color. They also got wall paint on adjoining walls which we will have to touch up ourselves. When the painters left at 9:30pm that night, they left a giant bag of trash in my yard, coke bottle tops littering the grass and a lunch box left in my flower bed. I called them and provided about 15 or so photos of this job, and asked them to fix it. Raul was very responsive, but never once did anyone from Platinum apologize or acknowledge accountability for this job. They returned the next Friday to fix these mistakes. I thought everything was going pretty well, but even after I was given a walk-through, it was not fixed and I had to point out streaks and missing paint. During the second walk through, I pointed out again for the 2nd time, that the crown molding at the top of the foyer needed to be painted along the bottom edge. It was a noticeable yellow ring, and clearly not finished or done to any professional standard. The foreman told me that he had already let his tall ladder go and it was at another job, and that he would need to return to finish this job. He said he would be back between 5-6pm, and to contact him if I needed to leave. By 6:15, I had not heard back from him and he had not returned, so I reached out. I did not hear back until 7:15pm, and at that point, he said he could be at my house in 20 minutes or return first thing the next morning. He said an issue had come up at another job and he was still there. I said, forget it. We are done. There was "an issue" with us- and clearly there was no concern there for making sure we were satisfied customers. There are now 7 spots of paint on my carpet, and I'm not having them return to make it even more. I had to go around the spindles with my own brush and touch up multiple drips and fill in missing spots. The ceiling is still streaked in the middle. There was still plenty of paint on my hardware, and my husband just had to replace it. No one ever reached out to us after that. will probably receive an email after this post... all I can say is, don't bother. I hope no one else gets duped by this outfit.. you can do the painting better yourselves.
