+ -1 moreIt went much better than expected. The installers were very professional and meticulous in their work. They re-placed some of the work done by a previous repair company to make the unit more secure. Although the unit in the attic was large and the space to remove it from the house narrow there was no damage to walls or wood work. The new system is so much more efficient we can raise our thermostat 3 to 4 degrees on even the hottest days to have the same comfort level as before.
Description of Work: Complete central air conditioner replacement. Outdoor unit, components in attic and duct work.

+ 0 moreWe purchased a service plan, so it was about $350. He did the service in the house, and it's working perfectly right now. We asked him if we could get one years service and he said yeah we can get that, So we got the service. If anything happens for one full year then he can come over and do it free. Plus it includes them coming over and doing at least a yearly checkup. I was okay with the price. I am going to use them again for a long time. Plus they're convenient. The price was for the warranty as well as getting it fixed. It's a preventative plan, because if anything at all happens they come back.

+ -1 moreWas here that day that I called, and thank goodness as it was cold! My husband thought so much of him and his honesty that he gave him an extra 25 dollars. I don't want to be upsold and some of those companies technicians are paid a commission and do just that! Brian was not like that. Very knowledgeable!! We would definitely use again!!

+ -1 moreI called on a Sunday afternoon, and Brian gave me an estimate for when he would be able to get to my house. He arrived on time, which was great because my AC wasn't cooling. He tested the system and identified the problem as a faulty thermostat that was running the heat at the same time as the AC. I told him I would purchase another thermostat on my own, and he did a temporary repair that fixed the issue until I could get the new thermostat.

+ -1 moreThe entire installation went as promised. Mr. Schimnmel and his crew showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would. Mr. Schimmel made sure every question I had was answered clearly, thoroughly, and patiently; even the ones that were way beyond the scope of the project. I had a lot of questions. Mr. Schimmel and his crew were always polite, professional, and friendly. The installation was neat and clean. It certainly has the appearance of being professionally done. All debris was removed and the worksite was left spotless. Finally, I want to say that Keller Services' extremely fair quote, the workmanship, professionalism, and everything else about the project wouldn't mean anything if the system didn't work and work well. It does, in spades. It gives higher heating and lower cooling temperatures than the previous system ever did.
Description of Work: Keller Services replaced a single-unit, four ton geothermal HVAC system with a two-stage, five ton system. Over the last two years I had asked for estimates from four other companies prior to contacting Keller Services. Three of them wouldn't even give a bid once they found out I had already purchased part of the equipment myself. The fourth company offered a bid which was 1.5 times higher than the original system, even though I was supplying the most expensive piece of equipment. Brian Schimmel, the owner of Keller Services, spent hours examining and researching the unit I had purchased, my old geothermal unit, the ducting, zoning equipment, and air handler issues prior to giving me his bid. In addition to the labor required to remove the old system and install the new one, his bid included a new air handler and adding an additional 16" return-air duct to the system which should have been included in the original system.

He made himself available after should any issues arise. We had no issues whatsoever and our air was back up and running! Brian was timely, friendly and capable. I would recommend him anytime!
Description of Work: Brian came out and assessed why our air was not working. He determined we needed a small part and gave us an estimate. Compared to another provider, it was much much more affordable. I was particularly pleased with how quickly he arrived.
