CHIMNEY DOCTOR

Inspected chimney inside and out. Went over fireplace 101 with us. After discussing the pros and cons of gas vs. wood burning, he disassembled the ceramic log setup for us, and cleaned up the firebox. After a short to-do list we were ready to go for the season. Will certainly use Chimney Doctor for future service.

John was right on time and very personable. He made sure he did not get any soot on my floor or furniture by laying down a tarp and moving close furniture back away from the fireplace. He did a great job and was fast. Then he checked out the stack on the roof and found a lot of repairs that need to be fixed fast. He explained the cost, wrote out an itemized accounting of what was needed and quoted a price that was very fair. I will be scheduling the repairs with him soon. He was very easy to schedule with, talk to and felt like he was honest. I could see that he takes pride in his work and loves what he does. I highly recommend The Chimney Doktor!

Mr. Herder cleaned from the bottom up and the top down. I expect he will be the and quot;go-to guyand quot; next December when the fireplace will need to be cleaned for the winter.

My chimney would leak when it was a hard rain, John came ot and installed a cap cover, screen and reparied cracked inside the chimney. Said the chimney ddnt need sweeping told me the brickes would need to be repaired eventually. Overall very pleased.

Great provider. Would choose them again. I've been in the house 13 years and never had the chimney swept, we burn some wood, but not much. They said we didn't actually need a cleaning, but we did it anyway. I'm glad they pointed it out. They did this job without making the tiniest of messes. Also decided to have dryer vent cleaned. For that we really did need it, glad to have this fire hazard knocked out, Great company, no problems what so ever.

John arrived early and went right to work! Turned on the dryer, went on the roof to check outflow and then cleaned all obstructions. Back into the house and proceeded to clean out dryer vent from the dryer site up to the roof vent. Went out of his way to mend a torn dryer hose and readjust the clamp. While on the roof, at our request, he inspected the chimney. It was clean. John was very professional, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Work was done quickly and effeciently. Very quick to return calls. Very punctual for appointment. Did a great job sweeping our chimney.

Overall very easy to work with. Did work in time specified and according to the agreed upon work to be done. Returned calls and was prompt in responding to questions. Cleaned up and was very organized. Enjoyed working with them and would do so again.

The chimney sweep arrived on-time. He was very curteous and professional. He brought in his equipment and setup. He inspected the chimney inside and out. He found loose bricks which he said he could repair. He cleaned the chimney and then inspected it again. He then repaired the chimney. He cleaned up and provided a summary of the services provided. He also let us know what issues to look for that would be of concern. He assured us the chimney was safe and could be used after an hour. He also told us how much wood we would need to burn before needing to have the chimney cleaned again. He was also great with our dogs and didn't mind their presence.

I initially spoke with Jim who advised he would be heading out of town for vacation, but would be happy to send his associate, John. He gave me some verbal estimates but advised they would physically have to inspect the chimney/fireplace to see what was needed. John arrived on time and advised he could repair the mortar crown and replace the cap, but I didn't need to have the chimney swept. It was so refreshing to hear I did not need to have something done. I had only been living in this home for a month and they could have taken advantage of the situation, but did not. I truly appreciate their honesty. John was able to come back the very next day, had the job done in no time at all, and it looks great!

Absolute excellent experience! Both the owner (Jim) who took the initial phone call and the serviceman (John) were nothing less than professional and honest. John was actually early to our appointment and called to confirm I would be available earlier. He was quick, clean and completely honest. He said my chimney was in great shape other than it needed cleaning. I paid not one cent more than quoted. John was thorough and had a genuine compassion for our family's safety. I would highly recommend them to anyone and plan to use them again myself.

Jim was very helpful when I called to make the appointment, and John was here on time. Actually, he would have been able to come earlier, but when he called, I was out at that time.

Called and was set up with an appointment the very next day. John called and was running ahead of schedule so asked if it would be ok to come earlier than planned which actually worked out great for my schedule. He brought in equipment and a large tarp to protect flooring in front of fireplace. Proceeded to clean the chimney from the inside to the top and inspected the fire box. Former owners had piled up wood that covered a repaired crack in the back panel that I hadn't noticed before. John just said to watch it for deterioration and they would come out and replace the panel when needed. I appreciated that he didn't offer extra services that really weren't necessary until a later date as some companies are in the practice of doing whether it's necessary or not. I've never had a fireplace and chimney inspected before, but was surprised that he didn't go up on the roof - just a visual inspection from the ground. I guess the outside set up was pretty standard and it wasn't necessary. John left everything clean and ready for a season of warm, cozy fires! Also shared advice on types of wood to burn and best fire practices to help chimney vent properly, etc. He was very knowledgeable and I will be calling again when my back panel needs replaced.

I really appreciated this honesty from a company, as he could have cleaned the chimney and I would have been none the wiser. John, while he was there also took the time to inspect my chimney cap. John took a bunch of digital photos of the chimney cap and walked me through what repairs that needed to be done. John repaired the chimney cap and also cleaned the dryer vent. John was fast, cleaned up after him. All in all, a great service experience from Jim and his crew.

John was prompt, courteous and very informative. He gave me an honest appraisal of what work I did need as well as what I did not need. Appreciate the time he took to explain a few areas to me. Would definitely recommend.

I liked that I could do it over the phone with them, because I live in a different place and this was for my rental unit. Jim Boyle was very accommodating. He went out timely. The price was what we had talked about. He inspected the chimney and charged $85 for that. He refurbished the gas logs for $45.

I've used them for several years. The price is reasonable but I haven't compared their prices. They have always been straightforward and upfront about the costs. They have always been very conscientious about being very clean. They completely vacuum up and keep the area clean. They are fastidious about keeping everything clean. They look for safety issues with the roof, chimney and firebox, which I appreciate. They always leave it perfectly clean. They are local, which is important to me. I will continue to use them.

Best experience I have ever had with a service provider. Professional and honest. Explained everything they were doing in detail as they went along. Price was fair and reasonable and no work began before the looked at everything first.

I contacted Mr. Boyle 2 days prior to the service date. Very easy to contact, very quick appointment time availability. He arrived right on time, very friendly and professional. Liked my dog, which I appreciated! He immediately set up a tarp and his cleaning equipment, got the fireplace and chimney clean and inspected. He told me the timing I should follow for my next cleaning, and also mentioned that I should be sure to have my dryer vent cleaned at some point too, as it was very important from a fire prevention standpoint, and with pets in the house the vents tend to be even more clogged. I had been planning to have that done anyway and I asked if he did that work too, and he does. He had time to do it right then so I had that service done as well. He did an excellent job with both tasks, the areas are certainly much cleaner than they were before he got here! I very much appreciated his efforts, and will absolutely be calling him again to take care of these things next time. Both tasks were completed in less than an hour.
