Consumer's Original Complaint : Some information on Chris Pilkinton - Name Chris Pilkinton - Age 34 - Date of Birth - 6/6/1978 Business Phone Number 678-588-1041 / Additional Phone Numbers - 972-736-2763, 972-542-5848, 972-562-5695, 972-363-0084, 972-736-2265 /Most Recent Address -718 N 6th St, Princeton, TX 75407-6640The timeline regarding this situation is outlined below (I have copies of check cashed on 5-4-2013 at McKinney ViewPoint, written proposal & business card)5-3-2013 - Fri I met with Chris Pilkinton around 5:30 p.m. so he could provide a written estimate & take measurements for gate. Chris Pilkinton wrote a proposal & told me he needed half of the money upfront ($611.50). BIG MISTAKE! He said he would purchase gate frame materials on Mon, 5-6-2013, & get materials to his welder on Monday so welder could get started on frame. I asked Chris to confirm on Monday that this had happened.5-6-2013 - Mon - No call was received from Chris Pilkinton5-7-2013 Tues - I called him & left a message & asked him to call me on Wednesday & let me know something.5-8-2013 - Wed - No call received from Chris Pilkinton5-9-2013 - Thurs - I called him at 11:52 a.m.; received a return call from Chris Pilkinton @ 4:45 p.m. (he did not get materials to welder on Monday, May 6th as promised) he now says he will work with welder on Mon (5-13) & let me know on Mon, May 13th.5-13-2013 - Mon - No call I called him twice5-14-2013 - Tues - I called & received a return call at 1:01 p.m. I asked him if he worked on the gate. He told me it was ready. I asked if he could set the gate posts on Sat, May 18th - he said he could not because he had his kids on Saturday but would definitely set the posts on Mon, May 20th & finish gate on May 23rd.5-17-2013 - Fri - I called Chris to confirm posts will be set on Mon, May 20th - no return call from Chris P.5-20-2013 - Mon - I arranged with my boss to work from home - Chris did not show up as promised - I called him three times @ 8:58 a.m., 9:48 a.m. & 2:55 p.m.5-20-2013 - Mon - Chris returned call at 3:42 p.m. - said his blood sugar was low but he would be feeling better in the morning & would be there on Tues, 5-21-2013 to set the gate posts5-21-2013 - Tues - I, once again, arranged to work from home. Chris did not show up again. I called him at 10:41 a.m. - Chris returned the call at 5:00 p.m. & said he had to go to the hospital due to his diabetes. At this point, I told him this is not working out. I explained that he had cashed my check on May 4th & made many promises that he did not keep & he only called me when I called him. He replied "You're firing me"! I told him to return our money & if he had purchased materials for the gate to send the receipts to us & tell us where to pick up the materials. Chris said he would put a check in the mail. He hung up on me & then I called him back and he hung up on me again. In my opinion, I do not believe he ever had any intention of building a gate.5-24-2013 - Fri - I called & left message asking where to pick up the materials for the gate (although at this point I don't believe materials were ever purchased).5-28-2013 - Tues - 5:25 p.m. I called Chris & left a voice mail5-29-2013 - Wed - 5:23 p.m. I tried to call - Chris's voice mail was full5-30-2013 - Thurs- 1:11 p.m. - I called & Chris's voice mail was full5-31-2013 - Fri - 5:36 p.m. - I left him a voice mailWe have recieved no further calls from Chris Pilkinton, we have no gate & we are out $611.50! Greensheet advertising tried to contact him also & received no reply. BBB has tried to contact him as well and no response.
