TREE DOCTOR

Their price was pretty comparable to what other people were charging, so, I would say it was fair. The actual tree service was good, but, they broke a picket in our brand new fence and never replaced it. They told they would come back in a week, I even called them, but, they never came back. They damaged the fence and did not even admit to it, so, the professionalism was definitely lacking. I had to call their manager because these guys were not truthful and honest which was really frustrating.

James Kelley quickly responded to my call on Saturday. He came by within a couple of hours to discuss the work and provide a price estimate. Crew started work the next day and the work was completed on Monday. The trees looked great when they were done. If my interaction with the Tree Doctor out of Katy, TX had ended here, I would have given this company very high ratings. Unfortunately, during the process of trimming the tree limbs, the crew dropped limbs on several of my plants - all together 6 plants and 2 pot plants were damaged. I threw the pot plants away - the plants were crushed, pots cracked. 4 of the shrubs had a few broken limbs and would easily recover. However, two of the shrubs were severly damaged - split in half or decapitated. James offered to replace the plants within a few days with some encore azaleas that he has in stock. No biggie. It is now a month since the work was done, the two encore azaleas have never shown up. I left several messages and actually spoke to James a couple of times. Each time I spoke to him, he said the plants would be there in a day or two. Today,Sept 8, is the last straw. I called again and he answered. In a calm voice I let him know that I have waited a month for the plants and would replace the plants myself, , and that I would not be calling them again. He became angry and started yelling at me... said the plants were not an emergency, not to bother him anymore, and then hung up on me.

The crew of 3 workers came the same day I called to accept the bid. James was present to get them started but did not return. The crew worked a little less than 2 hours including clean-up. Upon further inspection that evening we decided we wanted a few additional branches pruned which hung below the agreed canopy height. When I called James the next morning he agreed to come out later in the week for follow-up but he never showed up on the stated day. When I called a second time he said they would come the following day but again did not show up. We decided to trim the wayward branches ourselves and stack them at the curb. My last call to James rolled to voice mail where I asked him to please just come by to pick up the branches. Again, no show, so we chopped the branches up for our trash service.

Tom stopped by and did the work within 3 hours of my phone call. The work was excellent. The service was prompt and very professional. I would definitely recommend this company.

We had some scheduling problems but once he did come out he was on time and did great work.

I can say that they do a wonderful job. All the yard work and he tree trimming is neat and attractive. The people that do the work like what they do and take a lot of pride in the service that they provide. I really like the work that they do and I highly recommend them for this type of service.

They did not have and were unable to provide any documentation for insurance. If anything were to happen, I was not going to take the hit, so I did not hire them.

A representative came over and estimated the cost and time of the job. He had his crew here within 30 minutes. They did an excellent job and cleaned up beautifully. This was a big job and I consider the cost a great value. I will use Tree Doctor again.

Tree Doctor provided an excellent service at a reasonable price. They did a very good job with trimming the trees in my yard. I had a couple of damaged trees that needed to be removed. They did a great job making sure that all of the roots were removed. They were quite thorough while cleaning up my yard and removing the waste. I was satisfied with the results.
