It has been an interesting journey to this point. Last year when I decided I needed a new web site with upgraded functions and using a word press platform instead of one that you can' work with I found the Nerd Blurb guys. I mistakenly found them through Fiverr while searching for other contacts to do work for me. It was the best mistake that has ever happened to me..LOL I contacted Jeremiah through Fiverr and asked what kind of work he performs then we spoke on the phone. At that time I knew I had found my man to do the work I needed. We began the web site from scratch the first of November 2011. It did take longer than I expected but much of the holdup was getting all of my shopping cart in place to accept credit cards etc. which was not the fault of the Nerd Blurb team. I had hundreds of product photos and descriptions that they incorporated into the site and also did a few other unique plug ins on Word Press in order to make my site function as I wanted.A web site, as I discovered is a never ending work in progress. There are items always to be added or deleted and the marketing is an ongoing process. I never thought that much about it until I realized when it was done that it is never really done. My point here is that when choosing a developer you want someone who will be there for you in case you need help. In recent months I have needed help and Jeremiah is always available to take your call and is anxious to help. I don't know that I have ever seen anyone so devoted to their work as Jeremiah. My journey continues as we are now in the marketing stages of the web site. My first mistake when creating my very first web site was not choosing a company where there was A+ support. Secondly, I chose a company that had their own platform to build on rather than using Word Press. This makes it practically impossible to market your web site or customize it, as I later found out. Don't make the same mistakes as I did, it will only cost you money and time and you will get nothing in return. My advice.........choose the Nerd Blurb team for your web site work.
Description of Work: The guys at the Nerd Blurb designed and constructed an exclusive web site for me from start to finish. After reviewing and speaking with many developers I decided to go with the Nerd Blurb and I am glad I did. They definitely over deliver on their promises and are there 24/ 7 in case you need help with anything down the road. I also discovered with this company that they offer everything from SEO work to Goggle adwords advertising to website hosting. Everything you need in one place. Jeremiah also instantly worked on a Google adwords campaign sharing his computer so I could watch and he instantly took me to the number one spot on Google for my search keyword. I am sure he cant let every one of his clients watch while he works but I am particularly interested in marketing and how things work so he turned me on to it. My website is still in the marketing process but I have confidence that I will be ranked number one in Google's organic search very soon for many of my main keywords. As a summary, I highly recommend the Nerd Blurb guys for any of your website needs, they know their stuff:)

No show and no call.
Description of Work: The guy I talked to on the phone seemed very knowledgeable and professional. However, he DID NOT SHOW UP. Did not call. Nothing. Very unprofessional. I will look else where for PC Repair.

Response from The Nerd Blurb
Member, this is a real tough "score" to swallow... I do want to apoligize first and foremost but I also want to explain what happened here... This was some REAL bad luck, that's for sure... The day you called, which was Wednesday or Thursday (and setup a Sunday appointment) I was yet to get your address, all I knew is that you lived in Pearland, TX. (which is an area I don't normally service, however I told you I would in your situation) So I told you that I would call you back and get your address on Saturday to be there Sunday - and of course, that evening, my phone (Galaxy S2 - Android) had some SERIOUS issues; I ended up having to do a factory reset on my phone later that evening, which wiped out ALL my phone numbers. So after importing a backup on my android, I quickly realized that I didn't have the member's #, and she was yet to give us her address, so we had absolutely no way to contact the member and no way to get to your house, because we were never given the address. One last comment - I was hoping, all day Friday and Sat. that you would call back before our appointment Sunday so I could get your phone # and address, but you never called. I'm sorry this turned out this way but I really wish that I didnt have to factory reset my phone that day :-/ We would love the opportunity to serve you again. Best of luck in the future! And I apologize that we didn't have some way of backing up your phone #. Jeremiah

I have a website that is only being used for email now, and I was having lots of spam and spoofed emails come in. I found The N*** Blurb on Angies List. I wasn't going to need the bigger jobs they showed, such as entire website development, but I decided to ping them on my tiny needs. Besides, they have a GREAT tagline, "if a n*** doesn't know, no one knows." Furthermore, the business turns out to be located not very far from me. I'm in the Houston area and so are they. I sent off an email to them on the weekend, and The N*** Blurb responded right away and also on the weekend. My initial email described my problem in most general terms, and when I reached The N*** Blurb by telephone, they were already researching my problem. It would be a simple fix they said, and the charge would be in the range of $30 to $65. Acceptable. However, as I grilled the two nerds I was on the phone with, Jeremiah the CEO and his partner Chris, a totally different solution came to the surface. The solution was to use Gmail, because they pointed out that Google has been doing email for a long time. The Nerds described Gmail services in glowing terms, and they use it themselves. You have to highly respect businessmen who spend time coming up with a fix to my own website, then recommend me to use some other service that's not theirs. I will surely use them for any future nerdy needs. And believe me, the world needs enthusiastic, proactive technologists like Jeremiah and Chris. Thanks, guys!
Description of Work: This turned into a consultation only. Other than a conference call, no actual services were performed, but a different and better solution was proposed. They referred me to a potentially cost-free solution. As a result, the charge for the conference call was gratis. But the conference call was long, technical, professional, and congenial. If I would have gone ahead with their ideas, I would have accepted their proposal due to very acceptable pricing and the confidence that they inspired in me.

The entire process, which was about a month long - starting with the Logo design, to the template decision making processes and all the way to the final touches on the website - every single step of the process, which you would consider a "typical" web process... Pick your logo, pick a layout you like and tell them how you want it designed... The only real let down is usually when you get your website, typically, and especially for me I should say, in the past this almost seems to be the case. Every other IT company we used before turning to The Nerd Blurb was border line a nightmare! So when we stumbled onto The Nerd Blurb and ended up getting to the final "step" - we still weren't 100% convinced..... It wasn't there fault really, we just had such a bad taste in our mouth from before, but I have to say, when they showed us our website - my fiance and I were both SPEECHLESS. well done The Nerd Blurb!
Description of Work: My fiance and I hired www.thenerdblurb.com (a company that is local here in Katy) to build our website about 6 months ago and I have to say I could not be HAPPIER! The entire staff at this company is extremely professional and courteous - I have to admit though, we had our doubts at first - BIG TIME! I mean who wouldn't in this situation? Most IT companies or web design companies now a days are, at least in my opinion, worse than "used car salesman" - So when you stumble onto a company like The Nerd Blurb that has an incredible track record, a great staff and then "over-delivers" on the results.... You get yourself the "Mercedes-Benz" of the web/internet world! There is no doubt that I will continue to use this company's services in some form or fashion in the future, they have done SUCH A FANTASTIC job and we really don't want to leave there side. And another fun fact, we signed up on Angieslist just to give this company a review, they were that fantastic! Well done The Nerd Blurb!
