I got four quotes and theirs was the best (by just a little) but, being on a budget, I decided to try them based on Angie's list ratings. At first I was a little skeptical when their sub showed up to do the installation because they were only here for two hours on the first day and removed some of the carpet, moved furniture around, etc. But the foreman walked me through what he was going to do and explained why I didn't need T-molds between doorways because of the way he was going to transition the rooms. I liked his plan. Day 2 they were about 15 minutes late which is not unexpected in Houston. They cleaned up as best they could by the end of Day 2 and had quite a bit done. Day 3 they were a little late again but not unexpected. The foreman is very skilled and did a great job with the quarter rounds. Cannot see a single nail. He got my assistance to put the furniture back where it belonged, swept up well and was sure I was happy before he left. I did give them a small tip which I know is not customary but I think they went above and beyond expectations. Now to unpack all the stuff I boxed up so they wouldn't have to move it:)

I am so relieved that I chose Texas Home Installers for this work. They came and measured the space, sent a quote, then waited for me to decide. When I contacted them, they responded quickly and I now have an amazing new floor. It was obvious throughout the process that the crew was highly skilled and the quality of the work shows it.

We selected Sarkis' company after reviewing some incredibly high install bids and after having unreliable and low or no response dealings with other contractors for this and other work. These bad experiences led us to Angie's list in order to avoid future treatment in the same manner. The reviews and rating's encouraged us and from the very first interaction with Sarkis, we were so glad we found him. He came on time and even switched his scheduling to accommodate multiple changes to ours. He set appropriate expectations from the beginning and perfectly estimated and communicated our materials needs for no waste (and his crew's quality work ensured it). We even changed our tile selection once before work started and also the scope of the work. He took it all in stride with no pressure or frustration. What a refreshing experience compared to ones before! The crew was right on time and from the beginning, never stopped moving. They finished in two days. The end result of his very collaborative and helpful approach was a floor exceeding our expectations. The precise work even negates the need for "quarter round". We hope he expands his services so that we can use him for other needs.

My experience with Sarkis and his team was nothing short of perfection. His team was great from beginning to end. From scheduling an appointment for an estimate, to doing a final walk through after everything was done. I can't say enough positive things about this company. The quality of work is incomparable. I know I would have never gotten the same customer service and quality of work had I gone with some other "national chain". I received quotes from 3 other places before going with TEXAS HOME INSTALLERS and not only are my expectations exceeded but I saved a LOT by not going with a national chain. We had an amazing experience with Sarkis and his team. I got three quotes before I made a decision. First, I met with the specialists from one of those "big box" stores. They creatively up-charged on everything from moving an appliance to trimming a door, and in the end the total estimate was nearly triple what it should have been for the scope of work. Next, I met with a guy that had done some work for a friend and he was cheap. I figured I'd give that guy a small tile project and see how he did. His workmanship was poor and he jacked up some of my electrical in the process. I figured there had to be another option. Fortunately, I came to Angie's List and found Sarkis. My primary concerns were cost, quality of work, and security. His charges were on the high end of mid-range, and totally reasonable for the high quality of work. His team would show up on time and work steadfast through the day. The lead guy on our flooring project, Suljo, worked so intensely every day that we started affectionately referring to his endurance as "beast mode." In addition to his expertise, he was delightful to work with-- kind, humble, honest, and talented. Everyone in my family loved having him in our home and watching the transformation. Sarkis did an amazing job advising us on everything from flooring options to special solutions to some of the issues that came up due to the very uneven floors he had to work with. He's an engineer in addition to being a flooring guru, and I found his suggestions to be practical and big-picture oriented. Turns out that he's a preferred contractor for those "big box" stores that I mentioned previously. I like that he's insured and we didn't pay until the job was done exactly as we envisioned. We loved working with this team so much that we were looking for more projects to do, so we could have them back again. Actually, kind of missed them after they left-- such a delightful team of talented professionals!

Sarkis responded and got back to to me promptly before the actual install day. He and his technician arrived as agreed upon at 9am. They started right away removing old stuff. I had one big piece of good carpet (2 yrs old) so they rolled it up and put it in my car for me and I donated it to local charity. They were so efficient and fast that they worked thru lunch and got it all installed including trim and clean up by 3:30. They were both so nice and professional and the floors were beautiful! I will definitely call them again in the future. Thanks guys!

I built my house nearly 20 years ago. Hired a super to keep an eye on things but I hired (and fired) all the subs myself. Over the years I've used over 100 trades. Having prefaced my review with that, I have to say that it was a real pleasure working with Sarkis on this project. It required structural repairs from water damage in-and-out as well as a complete re-tile of a 250 sq ft balcony. He was prompt, conscientious, and meticulous, keeping his workers focused. I will definitely use his services again and will not hesitate in recommending him.

Short Version: Quality workmanship, good price, and a responsive project manager who goes out of his way to make sure the project is done right and on time. Long Version: I hired Texas Home Installers to install wood floors in 3 bedrooms to match the existing floors in rest of the house. Despite it being a Sunday, Sarkis came out to meet with me for a quote. He was very professional and did a great job explaining to me what type of wood and installation choices I have. He was extremely knowledgeable. I was to meet with him the next day to pick out the flooring at Floor & Decor. I kept pushing back the meeting time because I was on the other side of town and running late. Sarkis was extremely understanding and waited for me. When I finally showed up, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had already found the matching floors. He used the time waiting for me to find the right/matching wood floors. This saved sooo much time. I gave him a very strict deadline to meet on short notice (so I can move into the house), and he came through. We met on a Sunday, found the matching floors the next day, started the project on Wednesday and the floors were completed by Friday. 6 days from initial estimate to job completion. To say I am very pleased with the results is an understatement. The workmanship is top-notch. I was so impressed with how smoothly the project went that I immediately referred them to a friend who was in the middle of getting quotes to install flooring for his whole house. My friend, who is EXTREMELY picky, ended up hiring Sarkis as well. Throughout the project, Sarkis was very responsive. He kept me updated on the progress and made great suggestions when issues came up. I hesitated hiring the bigger companies on Angie's List because I didn't want to be just another appointment on their books. I believe the personal service I received is because I chose a smaller company. Sarkis and Texas Home Installers come with my highest recommendation.

They were extremely professional and responsive. We were able to get them out quickly for a quote and then scheduled them for the install. Showed up on time and went right to work. Flooring looks great and we are pleased with how it turned out. We will definitely be using them again in the future for some other rooms in the house.

After few phone conversations,They came to my home and provided me with a quote immediately, it was very reasonable compared to few other quotes i got. Project manager even met us at floor shop and helped with product selection. Jib was scheduled immediately after they delivered products and the quality, service and response were amazing. We are going to hire them again to remodel our master bath. We recomend them to anyone looking to work with honest hard working people!
