It went very well. We had been having drainage problems due to old flagstone settling. Ron did an excellent job of keeping us informed as to the status of their work schedule. His crew was professional, courteous and cheerful. The crew kept the area cleaned up each day and they worked so hard. One man even helped me bring my groceries in!

It was a small job, but Mr. Stevens was very willing to fit us into his busy schedule anyway. One postponement because of several days of rainy weather was understandable, and the second appointment his crew were on site right on time and finished very quickly. Work area ended up cleaner than before they arrived. Crew foreman (Alfie) explained care instructions for the new grass, and recommended possible future projects. Will hire again!

Ron and his crew were great to work with. They provided excellent service with a great attitude. I wil definately use them again.

First off, if I could give a service provider a higher mark than an "A" this is one company I would do so. I have had quite a few great service providers from Angie's List over that last ten years that I would highly recommend but this experience has been the best! Ron came out and gave me an estimate to fill the pond and de-commission the waterfall. He suggested that I have all the yard maintenance done first. (They don't concentrate in lawn and garden maintenance business, more hardscaping, waterfalls, etc.) My attempts to find a good yard maintenance company via Angie's List usually met with no returned calls or e-mails by other providers. I told Ron which providers I had tried to contact and told him I would keep looking. The next day I got a call from him saying that they had a job cancellation and his crew could do it all. His crew was excellent! They answered all my questions, landscaped a wonderful large bed where the pond had been and even took it upon themselves to place a rather heavy memorial garden stone I had sitting in a chair because I hadn't decided where to put it yet.....I never even mentioned it. They even took it upon themselves to brace some trees, replace a broken piece on my sprinkler system and they even found a home for the beautiful water lilies that had been in the pond. I could go on and on about every thing they did including placement of extra flagstone and rocks I had. I was going to submit this report the other day but I'm glad I didn't.......yesterday there was a knock on the door and it was Alfie, who was in charge the two days the work was going on..........he just came to check on the work and make sure everything was okay, and then he even fixed another minor part of the sprinkler system he discovered needed repair when he ran the system to check it! I didn't even ask for that to be done! Ron and his entire crew definitely want happy clients! It's been a long time since I've done business with a company where there was such a high degree of work ethic.

I used the Angie's List messaging system to communicate with Stevens. I was looking for an estimate on leveling my paver driveway and reseating a driveway post. He responded quickly that these items are not his expertise and that he was 2 months backlogged. I give an "A" for responsiveness and punctuality, as I am learning that many vendors don't even bother to respond.

Rep was very polite and honest in what his company would be able to do and would not be able to do. If his company had been able to handle more aspects of the job I would have pursued a full quote.

He got back to me immediately and gave me great advice.

They were very timely, very fast and worked very hard. They were very quality conscious. I think they did a great job! The crew was conscientious. They didn't make a mess and actually followed up on the work.

They did an amazing amount of work in 3 days. They dug up all the old grass in my backyard, as well as a large shrub they I wanted to get rid of. They leveled the yard, added a flower bed with roses and resodded. All of this had to be done by hand as there was no way to get equipment in my backyard. They built a pergola over my patio which really enhances my house. The patio was extended about 4' and covered with pavers. He also created a flagstone walkway to a building in my backyard. A new stoop was made to accommodate the wider door that I recently had installed in that building. I also asked him to suggest plants for my front yard and he planted those. They did an excellent cleanup job when they were finished. I was worried that some unexpected expense would occur but everything went off as planned. There were no problems. Ron and his crew did a great job. I would definitely recommend him. If I ever need his services again, I won't hesitate to call him.

Quote was reasonable for the work that needed to be performed. Scheduling went according to plan. Crew was diligent and professional. The quality of work was very good. The results were better than my expectations. The area to be excavated had serious tree roots so it was hard digging. The paver patio was curvey so there was a lot of paver cutting. None the less, the results were perfect. Very positive experience. I would highly recommend Stevens Landscaping Service.

I love our back yard! The flagstone looks beautiful. Ron had the idea to cover an existing patio with the same flagstone and the result is our small yard looks so much bigger. We also had a fountain and outdoor lights installed which I love. They cleaned up our landscaping, trimmed the trees, put down mulch, put some plants in, replaced our gravel path and added drainage and installed an underground electric line. The other companies proposed putting the electric line above ground, which would not have looked good. We had 2 other estimates that were quite a bit higher. I thought they went above board in the quality of their flagstone work, and in the landscaping and cleanup.

Ron worked with me very well to provide options and suggestions on the project I had in mind. He provided a written cost estimate promptly. Ron was easy to work with, explained the work process and responded to my questions in a professional manner.

The quality of their work is not good. I'm very upset about him. After the two parts for the project – one part is that from my outdoor patio – this part is pretty good I like it. The other part is backyard basketball court. From the first day he knows I need the basketball court and after he finished actually the quality is like the parking lot it’s so rough on the surface and I called him right after he finished that he can’t do anything about it. See the basketball court we use like two or three weeks – the color is fading and is too rough it’s like a parking lot quality.

The work was performed as described and agreed upon. The workers were on-time and got the work done quickly that day. They left the work site very clean and the work quality was excellent. We are very pleased with the work and the results.

Called and made appoint with Ron and spent 30 minutes or so discussing what we would like and getting his thoughts and suggestions. Knowing I'm not a green thumb, he recommended very nice and hardy plants. Work was scheduled and performed over three days. Crew was very considerate in cleaning up their work after each day, and ensuring that the tools the left behind were stowed well out of the way and out of sight. Final product was better than I had hoped for. The beds had gotten away from me - I did mention I'm not green thumb, right? - it's nice to have nice looking beds and yard again. While the crew was punctual and came when scheduled, the schedule did change a couple of times. I did have this work done during the busy season, understandably, but it did add a little unpredictability to when the crew would be out. I was still given enough lead time on the schedule change, so I didn't reflect this in the letter grade above. I mentioned only as an FYI and not as a negative. If you call during spring, there may be reshuffling of when the work will be performed. I have no issue with recommending Stevens Landscaping.

Fantastic service! I checked with several landscaping companies and am very pleased that I selected Ron for the job. He's prompt, professional, cost-conscious and very courteous.

This company was fantastic to work with. Ron Stevens came to give me an estimate two days after I initially contacted him. He had great ideas, but also listened to what I liked, as I have a penchant for azaleas. Within one day I had an estimate and a diagram showing me exactly what types of plants would be used, and where they would be place in my beds. Two weeks later, a crew arrived at 7:20am and began the process of removing all of my old shrubbery, cleaning out the existing beds, removing stumps, etc. New top soil was brought in to refurbish the beds. At the end of the day, the site was left clean, with removal of all debris that had been generated that day. On day 2, under Ron's supervision the plants were all placed and installed according to the diagram that accompanied the estimate. The plants appeared to be of good quality, and I was pleased with the selection, size, and variety that had been made. After the plants were in place, Ron and his crew installed a double moss rock border with a granite gravel base around all the flower beds. 8 Flagstone steps were then installed from the driveway to the sidewalk. The crew worked on this an hour or so, as many tree roots from a previously removed pine tree had to be removed for the stones to properly conform to the ground. Sod was added to some parts of my front yard, and totally replaced along both sides of the sidewalk. Lastly, mulch was added to the beds near the house, at the curb, and around 3 trees. This landscaping job has totally updated the look of my house. The rock borders around the flower beds has made a substantial difference, as did the removal of old shrubbery that was overgrown and placed incorrectly in the yard. The new spots of color and variation of plants helps provide a more modern feel to my 30 year old home. I will use Stevens Landscaping Svcs. in the future when I rework my back yard. Ron's professionalism, punctuality, and friendliness made this project hassle free.

Talked with the owner and he said he never received the email and suggested I may have mixed him up with another company. I reviewed my search and I did not but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that the email was not received. He seemed genuinely concerned and responsive. I changed the rating to A from the original F only because it won't let me highlight N/A instead.

Ron and his team exceeded my expectations. I was uncertain of what I wanted when we met, and he provided several suggestions and resources. He and his team were always punctual and kept me updated throughout the project. I am very pleased with the final product and would definitely use their services for future projects.

The company responded promptly and in a professional manner. Price was somewhat higher than our budget would allow so we chose another landscaping company.

Great experience! Ron met with us and gave us a quote. The job took a week and the workers did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with the work and the price.
