Description of Work: My wife and I, had built a multi-generation house with my wife's parents. They had previously moved out of their house, and temporarily in with us, while the new house was being built (approximately 25-30 minutes away). All of their belongings were in a storage facililty close to where they used to live. I called around getting some various quotes. When Gerald from Soft Touch showed up, he was dressed very professionally, and genuinely a very nice person. With his Ipad in hand, he went through our house taking inventory of all the things that needed to be moved, so he could produce his quote. He then proceeded over to the storage facility to take inventory of the items to be moved. After a day, he got back to me with his estimate. His price was definitely in the lower range of other quotes I had received. So I decided to proceed. On the day of the move, Gerald and his crew arrive about 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled time of 8:00am, and were ready to go. Everyone in his crew was very nice. They went straight to work putting wrapping blankets around all the furniture, etc. I took approximately 4-5 hours just to empty our house. They took about a 30-45 minute break for lunch, then it was off to the storage facility where the storage locker was on the 2nd floor. Since they were emptying an entire house from the storage facility 2nd level, it took a little closer to 5 hours on the first round, since all the furniture could not fit in to the two trucks that had our furniture, as well as, furniture from the storage locker. We drove to the new house, and they spent time unloading the trucks and displacing it into the new house. Once one of the trucks was emptied, they took that truck back to the storage facility to obtain the remainder of those items. While the other crew was still unloading at the house, the 2nd truck came back and they proceed to unload those items. After lunch, they worked into the night. They weren't even breaking for dinner. I ended up buying some pizza @ 9:00pm for everyone, so they could have something to eat. When all was said and done, Gerald and his crew had spent roughly 16-17 hours moving. It was a very long day of moving, and everyone was exhausted. I know Gerald and his crew were. But the entire day, the crew at Soft Touch was nothing but courteous and professional. Our move was definitely not the norm and on the harder end of the spectrum. If we ever are in need of moving services in the future, I would not hesitate to use Gerald and his crew at Soft Touch Moving again. They did a great job, and all was appreciated.
