Back in January 2016, my wife and I embarked on a journey (and I would like to stress this word) on selecting a company to build a new pool and spa for us. We really had nothing in our backyard at the time except grass so we were looking for something which would aesthetically enhance our backyard as well as provide fun for our children for many years. We began reaching out to several pool builders who service the Katy area. We met with 3 different pool builders over about a week period. I would highly suggest spreading these meetings out over several days and don't try and meet with multiple builders in the same day. You will be exhausted after that day for sure. Jim Burkhart from Pools Plus was the last builder to meet with us and boy did we save the best for last. The second builder we met with treated us like another number on a spreadsheet and it didn't seem like they really needed or wanted our business. The first builder we met with made every attempt to gain our business but the price was just not right for what we were wanting to spend. Now back to Jim. Jim came in our kitchen and sat down with us. You could tell he had done this many times. He began walking through his presentation, and yes he had a presentation, and proceeded to blow us away with his knowledge of pools and everything you could ever want to know about pools. Buying a pool is much like buying a car in that you have to select all the bells and whistles but as you do the price goes higher and higher. You really have to decide between different quality of products like decking, copying, tile, etc, different products to keep your pool clean, etc. Jim helped us with his past experience select what he thought would be best for our pool and what might not make sense or wasn't worth it. My wife and I left the meeting with Jim knowing he was the one. Between price and overall knowledge, Pools Plus by far took the cake. We liked how Pools Plus had most of what we wanted in their “pool package” and any upgrades were easy to understand the price and we didn’t feel there would be any surprises. Jim provided all his documentation on a nice and neat flash drive. In this technological day and age, this was refreshing to not have to juggle pages of material. My wife and I sat down that night and reviewed much of the documentation and material Jim provided and decided to move forward with the project. From a loan perspective, if you are in Katy, I would recommend First Community Bank near La Centerra. Also, I would explore doing a Home Improvement loan. It has the best loan to value ratio. First Community specializes in these types of loans and are extremely helpful. Once the loan process was finalized, plans for construction could begin. Jason Rasco from Pools Plus was assigned as our project manager. Jason was extremely knowledgeable about the entire pool building process and walked us through each step of the way. Jason called daily to follow-up on how things were going and was always accessible if we had questions or concerns. One thing to remember is when they start building, you might say to yourself that you just want your yard back to normal because it is kind of chaotic but just remember the end goal and the beautiful pool and backyard you will have once it is all done. Another frustrating part of the process is the weather. Be prepared to have days where it rains and work cannot be done. We had a few such days but just be patient with the process. Pools Plus is prepared for these days and will even come out and flash gunite where they dig to prevent mud and water run-off. Also, be sure to review the plan and process with your neighbor. Their yard will be impacted and with delays and all it can seem like a long time. Ensure they understand you will repair all damage and in a timely manner. Once the pool was complete, my wife and I were blown away. Our backyard had been transformed from a patch of green grass to an oasis. Please take a look at the pictures. Pools Plus rose above and beyond our expectations. As with any large construction projects we had a couple issues. The first issue was a couple months after the pool was complete part of our decking looked like the stamped concrete had lost patches of color. Pools Plus came in and redid the entire stamped concrete so it would look uniform, they didn’t just fix the area in question at no charge to us. Due to the resurfacing we felt the mastic had to be redone as well which they also took care of, no charge to us. We are beyond happy with the dedication to the quality of product they deliver and the pool and decking is beautiful, just what we wanted. I feel this is the key part of Pools Plus that should stand out, even after they were essentially done with the project they resolved issues that arose to ensure our satisfaction. The overall process was excellent. From Jim designing the pool that fit our backyard to Jason who supervised the construction process. Jason was always available and gave us weekly updates and kept us informed. The quality of the products and workmanship was excellent. Pools plus was a little more expensive than other pool company quotes but their quality or work and products is the reason why. I would recommend pools plus llc to anyone looking at a pool or spa.

My husband and I moved into a new home and wanted to have our dream pool installed. Pools Plus knew how to get it done. We had a list of wants, needs and a budget to work around! Our wants were a rectangular pool with a hot tub. We wanted it to have a beautiful curving wall at the back and short pillars at either end of the back wall to support large planters. Once we gave our ideas to Jim Burkhardt with Pools Plus we were on the way to pool ownership! Jim used his magical software to help us design the pool of our dreams. He listened to our wants and needs. He knew we were working with in a budget, but he gave us a way to get everything we wanted and more. He suggested we install the in-ground cleaning system. This meant we had to give up a waterfall in order to stay in budget. But never fear Jim was here! Instead of a waterfall, Jim designed two walls of the spa to allow the water to overflow and spill into the pool. His clever design of stepped walls allow for a total waterfall feel and sound. Needless to say we were thrilled. The in-ground cleaning system is awesome. No more little robot floating around with a long tail spraying water everywhere. The cleaning system has made pool ownership so much easier and is by far our most favorite pool feature. Another must was the pool’s interior finish. As a realtor, I knew a plaster finish tends to stain and look grungy after a few years. With Pools Plus packages a Wet Edge finish is included. Now my only decision was the color finish, we wanted! Once the pool was filled, I knew I had made a great choice! Another must have was a lot of seating on the interior of the pool. Since we have young grandchildren, Jim designed a pool that really works for all of us. It’s long enough to swim short laps and wide enough to jump in without hitting the other side, two of my other must haves. Jim made sure there were plenty of places along the interior sides of the pool in order for adults to relax and watch the kids swim while having quick access to them if needed. He designed a wide top entry step and a large tanning ledge to be just deep and wide enough to become the toddler swimming area. Now the pool has two pseudo-baby pools! Even better they are close enough for the little ones to “swim” from one shelf to the other! Once the inside of the pool design was complete, we had to choose coping and patio finishes. We went with Travertine for everything. Jim sent us to the stone yard to choose our coping and decking. He made sure they even had a hose for wetting down the stone so we could see the color of the stones when wet. We were thrilled with the final effect as it is stunning. As a realtor, I have seen plenty of pools. However, I have seen very few that rival our pool in quality and design. Our neighbors had a consultation with Mr. Burkhart from Pools Plus and recommended him to us. Later they also used him to build their pool. I called him on the phone and he came by our home the next evening. He had no pre planned pool to sell but listened to our wants and desires. We measured the backyard and told him some of our vision of a pool. He then opened his computer and in front of us worked with us to place and design a pool in our backyard. The computer technology he used was awesome. After our initial meeting we emailed back and forth multiple times as we fine tuned our plans. He was always prompt and willing to listen to all of our changes. He made sure we know the costs and timeframe for building the pool. Our pool took about 8 weeks to build as we had several obstacles in the elevation of the backyard to conquer. Mr. Burkhart was there all along the way to see us through the build. The best part for me is that the work was meticulous. The crews that did the plumbing, gunite, tile, and all aspects of the pool were friendly and kind and were first class. I oversaw the pool being built each day and they always kept me informed on what was going on each and every day. I would recommend Pools Plus with the highest satisfaction rate possible. The pool has been wonderful and has been a great addition to our home. My only regret is that we did not build it sooner, but we did not know Mr. Burkhart and so I am glad we didn't build until we got to know him.

Loved working with Jim and the design process. He was very conscious of the budget that we gave him to work with. The pool was built within the time frame they gave us, even with some off days due to weather. The contractors knew their work and put up with us asking lots of questions about the process. After the fact, Jim was great working on a warranty issue with our heater. It's a beautiful addition to our back yard.

Pools Plus LLC, Jim Burkhart (the General Manager), personally helped us design the pool and select the best materials for it. Jim is professional, proficient, courteous, and honest. He is very customer oriented. He ensured that the pool was installed on time and on budget. Jim responded immediately to any question we had during the installation and set-up process. The construction foreman was always accessible during the installation, and he monitored and performed quality control on all aspects of the job. Pools Plus provided excellent instruction on how to maintain the pool, and have been responsive to service requests, honoring warranty work promptly with trained and proficient technicians. Pools Plus is a professional company. They do quality work. They stand by their product. Their product is built to last.

Jim Burkhart steppedin to help me when my original pool company left the job after collecting 70% of the money and only getting to pouring gunite and some electrical and plumbing that had to be redone. Pools Plus was the best company to work with and I wish I would have started with them in the beginning. Unfortunately, it took a while to get the pool finished because of things beyond their control like electrical problems and a very rainy spring. After finishing, I have been thrilled with the pool and would definitely hire them to do another pool, if ever needed. After meeting with several pool builders we landed on Pools Plus. Every other company that came out just looked at the back yard and sent a design and proposal. Jim however took the time and came to our house and explained their process and the quality of their products. He supplied a very reasonable proposal and worked with me on my own budget constraints. From their our project was put in the hands of Jason. Jason is a very nice man and communicates every step of the way. I'm the type of customer that likes details on what's going on and when and Jason did an excellent job keeping me in the loop. They had my family swimming within a months time! Very impressed! I have a couple of TIPS for anybody that is wanting to use Pools Plus... 1) Make sure that if you decide on the raised spa to have the cost of wrapping the tile around the back of the spa included in the price. 2) I recommend asking to visit their showroom of flagstone, tile, and pebble tech prior to signing so that you can see the exact items you are going to be installing and there are no surprises in the price when you select a high end glass tile. 3) Once you sign the contract with Jim, only talk to Jason. Jim pretty much stays in the background at this point and its Jason's show to run. 4) I highly recommend getting the timing system for the in pool vacuum with the Kreepy Krauly vacuum. This is an excellent piece of equipment and well worth the money. 5) Price around for Sod Installation and plants as this is not included in the Pool Building process... Overall I am very impressed with Pools Plus and pleased with the quality of work that they do.

Jim designed a new pool and spa for me. He was always very responsive and explained all issues thoroughly. His pricing was also very reasonable and his pool package offered much more than most other pool builders. Even though I stopped my project due to other reasons, I highly recommend his service for his professionalism.

Overall Pools Plus did a very good job and now 6 months after the pool went into service I'm very pleased. The good:- We got the ultimate spa- so far it is just that. Really good, heats up quickly and excellent pressure on the jets. The pool self cleans very well. We get a lot of leaves in the pool but the pool and pool cleaner generally do a great job of shuffling everything into the catch baskets. My only grumble would be we have a spillway from the spa into the pool, part of that spillway goes onto the step in part of the pool, which is very shallow, and where there is no current from the built in cleaning mechanism and therefore leaves get stuck here and have to be manually swept or pushed into the pool to get caught in the self cleaning mechanism. Slight design flaw that wasn't thought through. The subcontractor who did the tiling did a truly excellent job. Also the quality of the material for drains on the decking is very good. That said my decking isn't very flat, it slopes a little. We don't have much decking. If we did it would be annoying as its uncomfortable to sunbath. As it is there is no room to sunbath so it makes little difference. As per other reviews, Jason, the construction manager, keeps in constant contact, gives timely updates and lets you know exactly where you stand. Phoned in a bolier warranty claim shortly after building was complete. Turned out there are two gas valves, one near pool and one near house and the council had turned off both during an inspection. I only turned one back on. I called in a warranty claim. It was dealt with in 24hrs and pools plus was very responsive, and the guy who came out realized the other valve was off in roughly 25seconds (a little embarrassing for me). So not really a warranty claim as such, but the speed of response from pools plus was very good. Bodes well if I need a future claim. Had to phone Jason with a few questions after going into service as I've never owned a pool before. Even though the job was technically finished, Jason was always happy to answer and help. The not so good:- We have raised walls on two sides of the pool. The tiling of the backsides of those raised walls were not covered in the upfront pricing which I found misleading. It looked extremely ugly and unless the raised wall is next to a fence, I can't imagine anyone leaves it that way. We therefore needed an unexpected change order to rectify. Had two other friends building a pool at the same time. Different companies and same problem. We all felt conned, but in fairness I guess Pools Plus quotes in line with the competition. I would have preferred to have this made very clear to me during the design phase. Ask before you sign! I read a lot of reviews saying how great Jim was during construction. There were a couple of times during the build I wanted to raise issues with him, in particular the change order noted above..... and frankly he was impossible to get hold of. If you wanted to make a complaint, it was impossible to do anything other than speak to Jason. We liked Jason, but got the impression Jim was done with us as soon as construction started and he'd won his contract. However (and see above) a warranty issue was taken care of by Jim immediately upon completion of the pool. Pools plus uses lots of subcontractors. Mostly we were very pleased, but the plumbers were poor and untimely and our pool delivered later than it should because the plumbers needed to come out multiple times to do their job properly. Overall- very pleased with the final result. Would recommend.

Jim Burkhart, the owner of Pools Plus, was very knowledgeable and helpful during the design process of our pool and worked out a design that not only us but also our dog will love! He educated us on pool construction and made sure that we knew all of our options regarding quality and price. Jason, the man who managed the entire construction process, was available at any time of day or evening and checked in with us frequently to be sure things were happening when they were scheduled. He was always just a text message away, and we still have his contact information as he made it clear that we could and should call him with any questions or concerns which we have done on several occasions. Construction went exceedingly well and was completed ahead of schedule. All of the subcontractors did quite professional work. Construction started on August 27 and we were swimming in the pool on October 2 for a total duration of about 5 weeks. I have had several questions about the operation of the pool since its completion, all of which were promptly answered by Jason. We would definitely recommend Pools Plus to anyone interested in building a high quality, beautiful pool.

Ultimate pool technology and service! Pools Plus has built my last two pools. The experience is impressive from concept to completion over a 3-4 month period. There are 4 main points to highlight: 1. Exceptional Design Experience - The automation and visualization technology used combined with Pools Plus experience built two ideal pool designs for my last two homes. This is an exciting experience. 2. Construction Management - Building a pool is a major project with many variables, in particular weather and availability of sub contractors. Pools Plus was there for me every step of the way, they kept me informed at all stages and on site often to ensure correct construction. 3. Pool Technology & Safety - The Paramount PCC 2000 infloor cleaning system has amazing performance. The release pressure drain system adds a high degree of safety comfort. The Pebble Tec surface is both beautiful and robust. All standard Pools Plus builds and all wonderful. 4. Exceptional Service and Satisfaction - Pools Plus follow up is exceptional. For example I was not happy with the deck finish on my last pool and after Pool Plus managing the issues with the sub contractor the deck was replaced. It was a painful experience but the final outcome was well worth it. I have a gorgeous pool as a result

After interviewing almost 14,000 pool companies in the Katy area, my wife and I only felt great about one- Pools Plus. After meeting with Jim Burkhart at our home, we knew immediately this was the guy we wanted building our pool. His presentation was the most prepared, most informative, most concise, and the least pushy of all the companies we interviewed. Jim explained in simple terms what the entire process would entail, and he did so with patience and much knowledge. We have a relatively small backyard, so the challenge in designing our pool was getting "enough" pool for a pretty big family to enjoy. We have two large teenage boys and an almost teenage daughter, so a tiny pool would not do. Jim took us step by step through the design process, and we came up with a beautiful geometric design that used all the yard the homeowners' association would allow. It was a lot of fun creating our own personal design, and Jim was extremely patient as we went through a few different styles before we settled on the one we chose. The actual pool construction started on July 22. We had heard nightmares about how long the entire process would take. Friends with pools would always say, "Just add 3 or 4 months to whatever they tell you it's gonna take." So we braced ourselves for the worst. Jim told us the entire construction would last about 5 or 6 weeks. We were swimming in our pool just 4 weeks later. The whole process, from digging to framing to gunnite to surfacing, came together so smoothly. When one team would finish, the other would show up and begin. There was no sitting around waiting for people to show up. When the weather was good, Pools Plus people were here working. Not only were the workers efficient, but they were also courteous, polite, and tidy. They cleaned up thoroughly each day, they were friendly, and they were prompt. It's by far the best customer service we've seen on a project so big and detailed. Swimming one month after the project began was beyond our best expectations. Throughout the entire process, Jim was there checking on our happiness level. When we had questions or concerns, he never seemed bothered by it like a lot of people do. So, we've been swimming for two months now, and we can't believe we waited so long to get a pool. Friends who visit don't stop raving about how great the pool looks. And here's the best part. On any day, even a regular weekday, like Tuesday, when I get done with my afternoon run, I jump in our pool and swim, and I'm instantly on vacation. We have the grill going, music playing, the kids are laughing and splashing, and it will probably happen on Wednesday and Thursday, too. We found Pools Plus through Angie's List. I interviewed four, top-rated companies, and Pools Plus came out as the easy winner. This is the first pool we've ever had built or owned. Jim Burkhart, the owner of Pools Plus, went to great lengths to help us understand how the pool would be constructed and the materials used. For example, my biggest reservation was about the maintenance. Jim helped us understand,and provided the references for (which I checked) their Paramount in-floor cleaning system. Even with lots of falling leaves, the system is reported to keep up. We're early into autumn and we haven't had the pool for long, but so far I can say that the system lives up to its reputation, and the general maintenance has been minimal. In addition, I wanted a one-of-a-kind design for a waterfall which was executed perfectly based on my description and photos that I provided. Attention to detail throughout the project, like the waterfall, was typical. Another example is Pools Plus' requirements for how the flagstone is laid. Every piece's edge is rounded off so it looks great, and the grout between pieces is a uniform pinky-finger-width to prevent cracking and eventual lifting of the stone. They build things to last and be beautiful. Communication was excellent. Jason, the project manager, contacted me nearly every day, even if the plan for the day was to wait, (Not that waiting was an issue. The pool was completed only one week longer than estimated.), and he answered my text messages almost instantly. Moreover, Jason was on site every time a crew was starting or working on something significant to make sure it was done correctly. On the few times it wasn't, it was redone according to his standards or our preferences. A related concern I had was that the buckskin flagstone not have an orange cast to it. Though it didn't turn out to be necessary, I was told that I could reject any piece of flagstone that I didn't find acceptable. Finally, the crews they subcontracted did an excellent job, including the rock work, flagstone, pergola, and fire pit. The crews were polite, showed up when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. (And they appreciated they ice cream we gave them every day as a small way to thank them for their hard work in the hot sun.) When I first interviewed Jim he asked how we had heard about Pools Plus. When I told him that it was through Angie's List, he told me that he would earn an excellent rating from us as well. He and Jason did. Any company who does a good job deserves to hear about it and let the word spread. But almost more than that, it seems hard to find people with integrity. Jim and Jason are passionate about doing what they promise and having the job done right. They certainly made our vision of a backyard sanctuary come to life, and they earned our trust. For as long as we live in this house, we will appreciate their superb and hard work.

From planning to building the pool and decking everything went as planned or better.

Everything turned out great. There were numerous changes during the construction phase and they adapted well. The waterfall is 10 feet tall and 20 feet wide at the base. It was quite an engineering feat and everyone loves it. People now want to vacation in our back yard. My wife and I were married and spent our honeymoon there.

Jim came to my home and looked around a few minutes and gave me a detailed list of things needed. He coordinated everything and within 2 weeks my pool was finished. He also corrected some mistakes that the other company made and improved some sloppy work. He helped me make selections that were better than the ones I had chosen with the other company. I am so pleased with the final outcome. You won't find a better pool company anywhere. They strive to please the customer at all times.

Four reasons to consider Pools Plus Pools Plus approach and design is much better than the conventional plaster pool and crawling cleaner system I had in my first pool before I contracted Pools Plus for my next 2 pools. My first pool did have a leading brand cleaner system but it was a constant source of frustration and disappointment. It did work somewhat but it was most often stuck in one corner of the pool 70%+ of the time. It would reverse as designed and then simply run into the same corner within a few minutes. After the first year it would breakdown often and was expensive to repair. When I am in a pool shop for my chemical supplies other customers are often there looking for parts for their cleaners and I know how lucky I am to no longer have to deal with those constant problems. For me there are 4 main reasons to consider Pools Plus and their design and approach each with equal importance. 1. Their infloor cleaning system is quite amazing how well it performs. I have a lot of trees and this system keeps up with the leaves and pine needles very well and as mentioned, it is very reliable. I don?t miss the numerous problems and constant attention the crawling cleaner systems have. 2. The drain system with the safety side value provides me with added security and comfort knowing that a grandchild or weak swimmer will not get caught in the pressure flow needed for the drain that catches the debris from the infloor cleaning system. 3. The pumps used by Pools Plus are variable speed pumps which saves me in power costs while giving me more options. There are different speeds programmed for each operation such as start up, spa heating, spa blower, waterfall volume etc. This saves on costs over a single speed system. 4. The pool surface is both beautiful and functional. It is much superior to my original plaster pool for longevity, appearance and feel. It feels great and provides more traction when walking. While these 4 features may be offered by other pool builders, Pools Plus experience and exceptional service makes the difference. They are experts in their design and not all builders use the same high quality infloor cleaning systems and equipment. Pools Plus is a top quality builder. As mentioned my last 2 pools were built by Pools Plus and in both cases my expectations were exceeded. My previous home was sold recently and the Pools Plus pool was a highlight for the buyer. I also rented that home for a year before selling and my tenant often told me how much they loved the pool and found it to be the best they had ever seen.

We contacted several contractors, a few didn't show. Jim was the one who came out first and revisited several times as I was unavailable for the initial phase. I noted their price as a "B" but I frankly would not have gone with a cheaper company. They might be slightly more expensive but the value was certainly there ( and you get what you pay for). Jim knows his stuff and was willing to go extra when necessary. They were the only one I could find that had the in-floor cleaning which is much better than the hose and crawler. Jason was on top of the construction side and Jim did a nice job of introducing him for the hand-off of responsibilities. Jason was frequently in touch, almost a daily occurrence and we never felt neglected even when the weather or other circumstances slowed things down. (Hint: make sure you spend the time to pick out the tile you want early in the process there can be long lead times) There is obviously a large accumulation of knowledge between both Jim and Jason. They make a great team and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We first came into contact with Jim Burkhart in February 2005. We were in the process of building our home in Seven Meadows (Katy, TX) and we wanted to be very proactive on our pool construction. In this timeframe we were "kicking the tires" on several pool companies operating in the Katy area and we quickly became very impressed with Jim. Jim significantly differentiated his company from the others through a combination of state-of-the-art technology and pool construction know-how. Jim was able to coordinate our pool building exactly with the closing on our house. Over the last couple of months, we have had some challenges, but Jim and team's responsiveness made these slight wrinkles instead of major problems. Everything is solved in real time and we, as the customers, stayed very satisfied. Jim's trusted advisor approach is what other businesses and trades don?t seem to have. That's a key strength for Jim and one of the key reasons why we recommend him. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the overall quality of the pool and spa. Great stuff! We are VERY happy! Looks way better than we ever envisioned and we have a pretty good imagination! Now, let?s speed ahead to today ? 10+ years later. Our pool is still in great shape (looks like new) and everything that Jim promised has been rock-solid Our cost of ownership has been low over the years ? Zero issues thanks to thinks such as ?Wet Edge? in the pool The built-in cleaner (PCC 2000) is fantastic and keeps the pool fresh and clean 24 / 7 / 365 ? and we have not had to pay the regular costs of pool cleaning over 10 years ? that?s 120 months at probably $150 per month (Great Savings!) It was a great experience working with Jim and Jason on the installation of our pool. Jim was very knowledgeable and helpful during the design process of our pool and worked out a design that we absolutely love! The actual construction process proceeded very smoothly according to the established timetable everything was done on time and to our satisfaction, including being very flexible with a few minor design changes we made after construction actually began. Jason kept us well informed on the status and schedules and was great to work with. Despite a hectic schedule he was always available. Our pool was finished about two years ago and we have had some minor issues come up since that time, the first was a repair to the decking and then the remote control. In both cases Jason was prompt in meeting with us and resolving the issues to our satisfaction at no cost as they were under warranty. What makes us very impressed with their service is we most recently had an issue with the return side actuator. We used the pool for the first time this season on Tuesday and had the children and grandchildren over for a great time. Wednesday we noticed the spa was draining into the pool at night when the pumps were off. We were scheduled to leave on a trip on Saturday and I called Jim and he was able to schedule for Jason to come right out and diagnose and fix the problem. It was such a relief to have the problem resolved so quickly so it was not hanging over us while we were away. We would highly recommend Jim and Jason to anyone installing a pool. It is great to know that they not only do a great job putting a pool in, but ii is especially comforting to know they stand behind the finished product.

Our experience with Pools Plus and ALL of their Construction Team were very professional . We are very impressed with all aspects of Customer Service and Quality Craftsmanship. May I add that Jim and Jason both , were extremely organized , communicated daily to myself , so I knew what was going to happen day to day and also who was going to be in my backyard each day....very important !! I have referred Pools Plus to many neighbors that have asked who constructed our pool. Some of my neighbors have heard so many poor quality stories . My experience was nothing less than EXCELLENT !! Even after our Pool was finished , we had very few punch list items , and Pools Plus Jason Rasco was very responsive till every item was completed. Lastly , I had 26 Women new to our Neighborhood at my home last Wednesday 1-7-15 and many ask me questions about our backyard. I explained to my Neighbors, who did our Pool , why we chose Pools Plus. I also explain that Pools Plus has won many awards from Angie's List. People trust Angie's List , it makes a difference.

We met with multiple pool companies when we decided to build our pool. Pools Plus was by far the most transparent and knowledgeable. Jim Burkhart, owner, met with us multiple times. He educated us on pool construction and made sure that we knew all of our options regarding quality and price. We learned so much from him that we were then able to ask educated questions of other companies and were therefore able to understand that their product and construction would be inferior to that of Pools Plus. I was impressed that we spoke with and dealt with the same two men for the entirety of our construction process. With other companies, it was clear that the left hand didn't know what the right one was doing. One person sold and designed the pool, a different one handled each portion of construction, and therefore each of those people were unable to answer questions about the full picture, which meant to us that there would be communication gaps which would lead to construction problems down the line. With Pools Plus, this was absolutely not the case. Jason, the man who managed the entire construction process, was available at any time of day or evening and checked in with us frequently to be sure things were happening when they were scheduled. He was at our home so often that our child thinks of him as a friend. We did have some issues during construction, as is to be expected with weather and any supply-driven business, and each time Jason was there to communicate with the contractors and us so that everything would be taken care of. We had a rather rainy excavation day and he even stopped by our neighbors' home to ensure them that all would be cleaned up and returned to its original state (which it was). We still have him in our contacts as he made it clear that we could and should call him with any questions or concerns. There are some aspects of pool construction with which Pools Plus far exceeds the competition. Their prices are higher because of this, but we absolutely feel that while we spent more with this company, we received way more than any other company offers as well. They are the only company around here that offers the PCC2000 cleaning system. While it is pricey, there is not a day that goes by (especially now that the leaves are falling) that we are not very happy that we have this system. It makes self-care of the pool completely and easily possible. It is amazing what that system will remove from your pool. We are very happy to not have an additional cleaning unit or tubes, etc. that you see many times with pools. Pools Plus also offers Wet Edge interior finishes. This is a step above the Pebble Tec that many companies are still using. There are many finishes and colors to choose from and we are able to rest easy that we will have no issues with the walls or floor of our pool because we have this fabulous finish. We have energy-star Pentair products installed for our pool along with screen-logic, a program that allows us to use our computer or phones to control the pool systems: lights, bubblers, spa, heater and cleaning system. We also have the ultimate spa, with 18 jets, two adult seats with dedicated back massaging jets and its own in-floor cleaning system heads. Pools Plus was by far our first choice of pool builder after speaking with multiple companies. They left us the most educated and clear on the entire process and what we could expect during construction. We feel that we received the highest quality, safest, most energy efficient, easiest to care for and the longest-lasting product out there. We were very happy with our experience with them and highly recommend them.

We really liked them. We used them throughout fall, that is how long it took them to put in the pool. They did a very good job. Their contractors showed up when they said they would, and they did a very good job working around the weather because the weather this time of year is not good. They got the job done, and it looks really good. They did a very good job of taking our input as they went along, and it ended up saving us money. It was pretty amazing.
